I love the single player graphics visuals! I only had a little play through on the trial so far theirs a lot of freedom and exportation, with a lot to do with crafting and leveling up to progress with the story that I love as your given the freedom. That goes one step further to it's predecessors I'm defiantly want to see this become bigger than the old mass effects story. I'm let down by one thing that's not completely a bad thing, as this still can be implemented as an update in the future on the mp. Theirs lack of player customization in multiplayer mainly, but would be nice to see in singlplayer as well. Come on I love customizing what ever I can get my hands on. The Multiplayer is even better this time round I never played more than 1 hour in mp in any Mass Effects accept this one mass effects that defiantly a big improvement! The special ability you have does feels a little week for the higher level character that I have that are built towards combat. mainly taking down shields and doing a great amount of damage we going to needs a fix especially for the higher skilled levels for more skilled players, so players can combo their abilities and trade damages against harder enemy's to gain better xp combo.

I've only played the multiplayer so far, and though I love the feel of the new combat system, I find it unfortunate that we're stuck with p2p matchmaking. About 4/10 matches are playable. Also, I really hope there will be a day 1 patch to fix the Corsair Utility Engine issue. I use a corsair mouse and headset, and it would be nice to use the profiles I've made it the past. And though the logitech keyboard lighting that was implemented is really cool, it would be nice to have an option in the menu to turn it off, so we can use our custom lighting schemes from the logitech app.

I played a bit more today. I still have 5 hours left, so the plan is to play 1.5 hours a day and sometimes a little less so the wait till the 23rd isn't as bad. Generally good stuff. Side-questing has an appropriate amount of actual cutscenes so far and strangely it feels more like playing an Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex game than Mass Effect - comes with being Montreal-made I guess But one issue again, is that the non-cinematic camera that is pretty much just ripped from DA:I and tweaked for better zoom still focuses more on "what's to the right of Ryder" than what he's actually standing in front of. If you initiate one such conversation and you're already standing close and to the right of the NPC you can't focus on them by turning the camera, and again, the FOV makes Ryder in the left corner appear stretched and it doesn't help that with Chromatic Abberation enabled (an effect I prefer to have on) he's chromatically abberated. In short, it all feels pretty counter-intuitive, especially since you omitted the whole "purpse" of being able to press esc or circle to back out of the conversation at any point. I would love to see you either add in the latter again the way it was implemented in Inquisition or fix the FOV, camera pivot, and Chromatic Abberation affecting Ryder in this mode. Lastly, I'm playing on Hardcore and I love the difficulty so far. The only issue I have is that the banter that plays constantly as you explore is repeated every time you replay the same combat after dying. I got really tired of hearing the same back and forth about Alec and his SAM modifications or whatever he was talking about 5 times in a row. But, I'm really loving how flexible the combat feels. I really had to move around as the Kett moved in closer and gained a flanking angle to my cover-position, and whenever the shield goes down you really have to lay low while you try to keep the squadmates going with their suppressive fire. I also like how I can't use medi-gel so there's a rush to come to a squadmate's rescue when they fall down in combat where you have to risk crossing enemy fire on the way. It was a really good adrenaline rush and I kept thinking about how alive it makes the game feel. Also, I'm pretty happy with my Ryders. Ok, I hit the internal cutoff point in the preview last night, and my critiques all still stand. My new impressions -
the Nomad is awesome, idgaf. I also loved the Mako though, so I'm not sure how helpful my opinion on that is.
combat is amazing. I'm not missing being able to pause at all. The jumping/jetpack feature brings a whole new angle, literally, to fighting and it's just super super fun to play. That said, the guns do feel a little like peashooters. My Viper sniper rifle did pack a better punch, though, so maybe it's just an issue of needing to upgrade your equipment so you don't feel like you're playing with nerf guns.
I went back to mess around in the CC and a weirdly large proportion of the female presets have extremely noticeable underbites? It's really odd? A jaw slider is really needed, or at least a tweak to the meshes, as it kind of ruins otherwise perfectly nice presets. There's a reason you're seeing most people stick to the same two heads (neither of which have this issue)
Those eyes, man. Sara actually looks really good in-game and then you've got those doll eyes...you have got to patch those eye textures. Every single one of my friends trying this out noticed it and said the same thing, and these are not people who care too much about textures normally. That they noticed at all is not good.
I've seen people having performance issues but so far my game has been running really well. I turned up the texture resolution to 1.5 and popped in a pretty intense reshade preset just to test it out and it ran at around 50 fps with a drop to around 45 during cutscenes. I'm playing on Ultra settings, with an i5 vs the rec'd i7 (though with an higher than rec gpu). With the texture resolution turned down it pops back up to running at around 60 fps. I'm very satisfied with the optimization so far.

Have played on PC for about 8 hours.
Over all it's not too bad but it have faults and the obvious ones that pretty much everyone else have mentioned is really bad and limited CC, poor facial animation and lip sync. Occasionally weird animations and animation glitches. What bother me most with this ones are probably the CC and the facial animations. Other bad things other have mentioned is the save system, give back the fucking manual save and quick save. The galaxy map have way too many time stealers, it all looks pretty but takes to long and will just become a point of frustration in the end. Hate to say it but that part need some streamlining *vomits* Squadmates are absolutely useless and as you can't give them any useful orders they coulds as well not be there. The non customizable aspect don't do them any favors either. Yeah you can take your iconic look and show it somewhere where the sun don't shine.
There is some good stuff as well. The combat is probably one of the better parts of the game, feels very fluid and the jump pack ads a lot to it and makes you a lot more mobile then you been in any other ME game. Arial biotic charge will never get old. The exploration as far as I have seen works well and is fun but the scanning I fear will get tedious in the long run. The NOMAD is fun but took me some to get used to really like the different modes and that you can do mining from it. However I want my cannon back. Dialog in general is good but there is some parts that have been pretty bad. The VO is in general really good, thumbs up to Tom Taylorson (Scott) and Danielle Rayne (Vetra). Favorite character so far, Vetra hands down.
There are some graphics problems but don't know if thats my PC or the game. Have a older card and have to run on medium settings but over all things looks good but now and then there are some graphics glitches and weird shadows (most hair looks horrible and have bas shadow effects going on). Most texture os ok but for some reason the Asari looks really weird as they seem to lack a lot in the facial texture department, makes them look like blue clay people.
I give the trial version a 7/10

I didn't see either of those in my trial playthrough. I meant bugs in general how often did you see any? I had a couple crashes/freezes on PC during cutscenes. and on both my Ryders once I was on the last plane you can visit, eventually the game slowed down. It wasnt lag, it just felt like everything was moving in slow motion. Stopping and restarting the game cleared that. I wasnt looking that closely at things like running animations. I think my Ryder ran down some stairs weirdly once.

MY BIGGEST DAMN GRIPE out of the few if any with this game is your squadmates AI. The AI is literally suicidal. The squad's AI was never that great in the OT but the ability to manage and order them to use powers to attack enemies and setup combos was always a great addition. In Andromeda that's been gutted out. Why? I have no clue. I can't tell you how many times Garrus using an incapacitating overload has saved me from being flanked, or Liara using a stasis bubble stopped me from getting Kai Lenged by a phantom. In Andromeda, I have none of them. Getting gangbanged by 3 Kett, Liam doesn't use an omni grenade till the last enemy. I capture 3 out of 4 remnant in a singularity, Cora charges the only one outside the singularity, saying fuck the potential combo detonation that could've happened. AI troubles are probably less noticeable on lower difficulties but on Insanity, it's just goddamn infuriating. When cover is necessary in firefights I order my team behind it so they can stay alive, but for whatever reason they'll eventually walk out into the open and get shot up till they're downed. The AI is suicidal and most firefights goes from a 3 v (insert enemy spawn number here) to a me v (insert enemy spawn member here) because if I don't babysit each and every cover piece I want my team behind they'll just walk up to an enemy looking for a handshake. If I could control their powers i.e using Liam's Omni grenade, or Cora's charge when I want to, that'd make up for it. But I can't and half the time they're useless. Aside from this I'm enjoying the game, but god I really got drove up the wall when I kept dying at a remnant vault cause my team was useless. Also the autosave system is bonkers. You can't manually save on crit path missions and the game automatically saves literally every other 3 hours. So when I die because of these firefights I don't respawn right before it, I respawn 30 or so minutes later when I last scanned a pile of dirt or something. I really want Bioware to look into this and change it. I can tolerate alot of the other hiccups with Andromeda because I love the game so far, but things like this are a bit jarring and irritating. ,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸-(_MEA_)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸
LOL. I could swear Bio mentioned they had help to improve the AI. I guess they forgot to tweak the AI for Ryder's squad.
On a more serious note. I agree, from looking at combat videos, that the squad AI is pants. Thing is, on consoles at least, there may not be enough CPU power left for a good AI sub process to handle basic combat tactics. On that note, the studio could look at implementing some basic tactics for the squad as in DA:O and DA2. Won't be the best but definitely an improvement over the vanilla AI.

The squadmate are suicidal (they do love jumping out of cover especially cora with her biotic charge) but they did not died a lot cause they move a lot, even when I rised the difficulty. The only time both died was at the end of prologue mission, wierdly when i give them instruction.
Also I am happy they learned to use their ability on their own, it was tedious to put the game on stop for burst damage. I even see them killing some opponent, I still have to do 90% of the job but it is nice to see them do some damage without having to order them to do some damage.
But still if Cora could stop do her biotic charge just to land on a crate in front of every enemy that would be great. However with a game insisting on using verticality (a bit too much) it must be hard to program a good get to cover but still fight AI.

Devs need to know lots of players don't like this. This criticism needs to be heard as it is an unnecessary restriction and should be removed. Tiberius please just let us save manually during priority missions or anytime out of combat. Please! I enjoyed the game overall in the trial, but I like to manually save every 15-20min especially while exploring and keep track of my progress so this is a big deal to me.

Ok so I played my full 10 hours and here's my feedback so far. First, needs to be said, I am having tons of fun with this game. So happy to be playing around in the Mass Effect universe once more. And being able to just go out and explore it is amazing. I'm loving the Nomad. Brings back many happy memories of the Mako. ... no Really I'm serious, this is great stuff. Especially since companions will banter while driving around too. The whole of the crafting system makes me happy. However I should note that I did not spend too much time on it due to the time limit of the trial, but it's the sort of thing I hope to get lost in after launch. Please keep giving us even more options in post launch content! Combat is just like sex it's so good. The opened up power combinations and vast maneuverability with the jetpack is amazing! Now for the bad stuff. The character creation has to be mentioned. Really this is just bad. I expected far more from a Bioware game. While we're at it, can we please get some actual long hair styles. Having hair that barely reaches your shoulders as the "long" option is just ... sad. Non combat animations, ESPECIALLY facial animations, are just painful. This really is something that should have spent a lot of time and resources to make better considering how vastly important characters and their interactions are to any Mass Effect game, or even any BioWare game in general. On the topic of character interactions, having their banter getting cut off for even the slightest reason is INFURIATING. I want to hear the rest of what they're saying dammit! But they'll get cut off if so much as a feather drops 20 feet away from me. Many people now will just flat out stop doing anything once any banter starts out of the valid fear that taking half a step forward will trigger something that will cut off the conversation. That is just not good for gameplay. On the technical side, The game hates SLI. Despite my system being overpowered for the requirements of this game it still dropped down to below 30fps no matter what I did on Eos. I had to disable SLI completely just to get it to play decently in anything but low settings. Which is disappointing to say the least. I know there are driver updates in the works, but it needs mentioning. Also the support for ultra wide screen monitors is not really great. Having those black bars pop up on the sides of the screen all the time gets annoying after a while. Especially since it's obvious the scene itself is being properly rendered in the background. Can we please get an option to disable those black bars? Even if it reveals more then you'd like in the cinematic, for many ultra-widescreen owners that would be preferable.

My only complaints:
The eyes need to be addressed. Even if the rest of the facial animations receive zero attention, the eyes really need to be addressed. Better textures, etc.
I've gotten used to the UI (navigating menus specifically) but I wish there was more emphasis put on IA. It feels like this was someone's first time understanding content structure.
Like others have said, saving really, really needs to be addressed.
I don't mind the bugs and quirks in the animations. Walking seems to be really weird in a few occasions (Cora walking away from Kesh and Lexi walking, well, anywhere). It again feels like someone didn't know how to rig someone walking.
Also, ambient talking should also be addressed but may or may not happen. Probably not but it is slightly annoying have to stay still so NPCs will finish what they're talking about.
I enjoy everything else though. I am intrigued with the story, the dialogue seems to be generally ok to great, and I'm getting more attached to the characters now. The environments are spectacular and same with the graphics. Performance seems pretty good on the Xbox One S. No major framerate drops and only one freeze when I was cycling thru profiles.
Overall, an 8 / 10 for me. Just needs some actual TLC to really make it standout for me.

Played the whole ten hour trial with High Graphics on PC using X-Box Gampad, and liked it so far. Combat is smooth and fun, but Squad AI is meh. Story was interesting, though we still can't pause during cutscenes . Very disappointed with the CC...it was very underwhelming for a 2017 title and lacked many features from DAI and ME3. Couldn't adjust the brows or ears and eyes. Facial hair looked painted. The Scars and Tattoos looked bland with no adjustments. No slick bald hair style for men or long ponytail with bangs for the female Rhyder. My biggest issue is the look and animation of the characters. Their eyes look static and like made of plastic. Not to mention everyone looks like they are on high octane caffeine, wide eyed and shocked. Not near as smooth as DAI, had multiple issues of small freeze ups, especially on the Tempest. As for the Tempest it's self, wow...was amazed with it's design compared to the old Normandy. I love it. Was kinda bummed about our pilot though, I like salarians as techs or scientists, but can't see one being a crack shot pilot. I guess I miss Joker lol. With SAM I wish we could choose male or female voice like EDIs. The Nomad is fun to drive again, missed it since ME1, overall I'm looking forward to the 21st, though gonna be bittersweet.

3. Until a few minutes ago, this was my big complaint: It seems to be impossible to shoot around the left side of cover. Lean around the right side and take a few shots, sure. Pop up and take a shot over cover, yep. Try to peek around the left side, big fat NO, and you find yourself either popping up again if the cover is short enough, or aiming at the cover if it isn't. Why can't my character flip around and shoot around the left side? This should be basic for a cover shooter, BioWare. Fix this. Click the right thumbstick, then give it a try.

I'm playing on PC and I encountred a bug, in which PeeBee and Drack were talking through comms on the Tempest with the rest of the crew as if they were already on ship, eveno though they are not recruited yet. It might have happened because I was traveling several times between Hyperion and Eos and the game might have thought I made a progress. That is the only reason I could think of. Also I experienced lagging after loading the game, but it passes quickly. Otherwise I had not encountred any issues and I enjoyed the game greatly and can't wait for the full game.

Did anybody manage to change the colour of their casual outfit successfully? I tried five times but it just kept changing back to white, so I gave up. oh god yeah took me forever but I managed it. Press enter when you are done with each colour option then escape when u have them all the way u want to leave the screen and it keeps the changes but there is nothing that says to do that. Needs a patch. I tried this and it still doesn't work! I think changing the colour of the casual attire is so bugged on my version that it's not even possible.

I have played the full 10 hours in SP, a couple of hours spent in CC. My opinions are the same as many others. Good: - Love the atmosphere, definitely feels like a ME game - Soundtrack - Interesting characters, looking forward to getting to know them better. I like Cora and Liam better than i thought i would. Addison is the only one i don't like - Story is intriguing. Made me want more. - I think the game looks beautiful, really want to explore the worlds - Dialogue, i like the lighter feel and humour. - Enjoyed exploring the Nexus and Tempest Bad: - EYES. They are creepy and cartoon-ish - Facial animations aren't great, sometimes really bad. Not game-breaking for me though. - Hate the CC. I was hoping for something more like DA:I. All the custom Ryders basically look the same, with small tweaks. But i like the Default Scott so will probably play as him. - Some annoying bugs. Like the scanner not working. Not being able to talk to people by pressing "E". Happened to me a few times. - Nomad.I wasn't a fan of the mako or driving in games. Difficult to control with a keyboard, got stuck a few times. Will probably drive the nomad as little as possible. Overall for me: 8/10. I really hope the CC and some of the problems with facial animations and the eyes will be fixed in a patch. Would also really like something like the Black Emporium in DA. Other than what, i really enjoyed the trial. And i can't wait for release! Can already tell i'm going to spend a few hundred hours in this game.

oh god yeah took me forever but I managed it. Press enter when you are done with each colour option then escape when u have them all the way u want to leave the screen and it keeps the changes but there is nothing that says to do that. Needs a patch. I tried this and it still doesn't work! I think changing the colour of the casual attire is so bugged on my version that it's not even possible. hmm, well it worked for me and I assumed that it was just missing a button that most of the menus have that says to press enter to confirm changes. Sure u pressed it after every colour change? To be fair the pallet was also slow to respond to my attempts to move it around so maybe the entire thing is completely bugged and I just got lucky? It was the casual attire tho and I did manage to change it after many tries, sorry you couldn't.

I registered here only to give you my feedback. There are several issues with this game. But what made me come here: only continue points, no free saving. I had to replay like 10 minutes over again and again, only because I can't save when I want to. That has always annoyed me in any game, but it outright pisses me off with the really far-from-each-other continue points in Andromeda. The second really huge issue: I have to uninstall my Corsair Utility Engine, because otherwise all I get to see is a black window?! Seriously??? I love Mass Effect 1-3, there are among the best games ever. I was sure that I'd buy Andromeda. But I'm not convinced anymore. Adding to the technical issues and the continue points, it seems to me that the game lacks "soul". The characters are not what they used to be in 1-3.

Killed my first fiend, now that's an intense situation. The verticality helped a lot. And the sidequest is actually engaging. More of this, guys.

8 hours in in game so far.
Pros:
The voice acting is superb. I'm really connecting with my Ryder.
The environments are great
I'm invested in the story already
Jump Jets are awesome
Cons:
The CC. Dear Lord, what were you guys thinking. If you are going to force us to use 9 presets that have minimal customization variabilities then for the love of God make them reasonably good looking. It shouldn't be HARD to make a decent custom character. I had to restart the game 4x because I couldn't stand how bad my Ryder looked.
We are no longer able to control squad abilities. This sucks. Now they are as incompetent as temp followers from previous games.
No saves during "priority missions". Wtf? Why would you do this? I hate leveling up all my characters and then dieing before the next auto save point. I have to repeat everything!
Overall impressions: Good, but not as awesome as I'd hoped. I mostly play for the story so I can survive the gripes with combat. I don't understand why the devs emphasized crafting and shit over basic squad mechanics though. I'm hoping the these will gradually get fixed with patches like in DA:I.

Pressing enter didn't make a noise or anything, so I gave up and plugged in my 360 controller to my PC to change the colours. It worked, which is great but... also bad I shouldn't have to change my control scheme to get basic functionality to work.
