I'm curious, I remember something about 12 enemies active at the same time, but then again, if true, can this change during objective waves? Did a search but came up with no results.

If I'm not mistaken, wavebend might know. It might get an overwrite from game servers however. So that BW can change objectives, enemies, etc through server updates.

Your consumables don't get refilled, it's just the in-mission-counter of what you have used so far that gets reset.
But the consumables used will be deducted from your total amount.
