You're judging by watching a video? I think getting in there and playing it yourself might be a better assessment of how it is.

Think people may want to take a look at the Krogan's passives before saying they aren't 'tanky'.
Rage can be specced to offer 25% damage reduction, 100% health regeneration (when in Rage obviously) AND can be specced so Rage is automatically activated once your health drops below 33%. So basically, if you're about to die you get your life restored and then take 25% less damage for the next 45 seconds whilst Rage is still active.

If you have the krogan soldier, you also have another 25% going more than likely from fortification they get. Never got a chance to play with the kroguard sadly, but with charge there to restore shield gates, wow, they were cannonballs of fury and madness. (The good kind.)
Their last passive is very much a matter of do you play aggressively (Aim for the -1 kill), or do play more guarding styles (Get the rage at low health, since you have a larger health/shield gate, and can take more abuse.) And to some, it's a clear choice, others will prefer the health trigger.
I like the 2nd more so, because the krogan melee is trickier for me to do than the asari or human strikes. The charge seems to have a big more lunge in it to me. (I could be very wrong.)
It's like playing the vorcha of me3 with the 2nd, without having keep up kill stacks. You have a way to just keep out in the open, and laugh off folks trying take you down. But really, if both are tempting, its a well done power choice.
That folks are finding the classes a step apart that makes them pause is a good thing, because its not a direct rehash, but there's been some curveballs thrown in, and we need to swing a bit differently to see if we can take them out of the park.
I still love seeing a krogan on the team, because the ones i've seen, they never go down. You know they'll be standing when the worst of crap hits the fan.

Not as tanky, BUT you get a dodge. I played 5 or so matches with the engineer, and I wasnt disappointed. Krogan have dodge now? What kind of krogans are they? Did the genophage cure make them weak? Oh wait! It's pre-reapers invasion, so i'm confused now. They are supposed to have a redundant nervous system, thus they were meant to tank. Meh!

Krogan should be able to one-melee-kill Spectres like they did in ME1.

While I find krogans very fun, I could never really adapt to that lack of maneuverability. I stayed with races that could dodge roll. But that might be partly because I loved dodge rolling in general. Now we have jetpacks so it might be better, but I felt kind of clumsy with them in MP. I gained a bit more control of them in SP but MP maps don't always make for good jetpack usage. Nothing beats a solid roll. Can we still roll? I didn't even think to check that.

I played the Krogan mercenary exclusively and with the right specs he is very good, very tough and has decent damage. I was able to solo carry a silver match at level 11 with him and the right weapon. And when the game comes out I plan on getting him up to 20.

Krogans sucked in me3mp as well so no change there. If you think krogans sucked in ME3 MP then you need to stop snorting bathroom salts.

I played one again last night for a couple of matches did not change my mind. They are set up ability wise to be or have melee as a main feature but you have to choose between health and shields or melee. You are also big, slow and easily sync killed so you either have to run around looking for a ramp, run away from sync killers and not use your specced abilities. Their design was poor. Are they a fun class to play? Yes. But their design is garbage for what it should be.

Here's what sucks about the Krogans in MEAMP;
They all run like damm frogs. Their sprint looks like they are hopping, and when they jetpack jump, their legs dangle exactly like Kermit.
Kermit the damm Krogan.
Still fun, but sheesh.

Krogans sucked in me3mp as well so no change there. Good god. I know you are unskilled, and that you refuse/cannot learn. However, this statement is one of the biggest whoppers you've ever spat out of your piehole. The Krogan Soldier and Sentinel are both absurdly OP and definitely top-tier in ME3MP. If you cannot make them so, it is a L2P issue 100%. 1. They have grenades. 2. They have absurd melee, even if you only take fitness to rank 3 (as I do, on both of these kits) 3. Soldier can Incendiary Glitch and destroys Armor as well as any kit in the game Yes, you have to be wary of Banshees. All other sync-units are no more dangerous for Krogan than for any other kit, and again if you think so, L2P. Generally, the gist of this post is, ffs, L2P.

All classes are absurd with the best players in this game. All sync killers are dangerous not just banshees What ever the krogans does as you described is done better by other classes. The design is poor. A class that has a major component being melee and you are more apt to get synced than most other classes and you have to choose between health/shields which is important or melee power. Last time I had this discussion way back when I got into a game with two players from on here that are far better than me. They immediately switched to krogans I assume to teach me a lesson. I outscored them both and I don't lead the score boards all that often. There is not one class in the game that the very good players (such as yourself) would not defend as being over powered. I'll stand by my words, the krogans classes are poor in comparison to most other classes.

Ok.... For science's sake, I have a challenge for you.
You choose a solo, map enemy and difficulty. The only kit that has Lift Grenades besides the Krogan Sentinel, is the Asari Vanguard. You claim she does it better. I scoff at this notion. You don't maybe understand Tech Armor. I will take the Krogan, and we can compare time of completion.
Or, since you said "Last time I had this discussion way back when I got into a game with two players from on here that are far better than me. They immediately switched to krogans I assume to teach me a lesson. I outscored them both and I don't lead the score boards all that often." --- Please, 1v1 me babby, Thunderdome, any kit you like I will take KroSol and outscore you by no less than 60k.
Sync killers are all dangerous. They are NO MORE dangerous for a Krogan than they are for anyone else, and if you think so, L2P. What you are complaining about, lack of dodge, is an issue for Turians too. They obviously suck and are poorly designed too, right?
You do not have to make a choice between health and melee with the Krogan, you get both in abundance just by being Krogan. Sure, you have to make a choice if you take melee/fitness to the max, but if you are doing that on the Soldier/Sentinel you are doing it for fun or because you are a noob.

There's only the headbutt and the targeting on melee attacks is arguably worse than in ME3. I have only played the engineer so far, but the way they move and run feels really awkward for some reason. No, there's also the groundpunch from the air. I consider that to be the new heavy melee. Also: rage is quite useful. And it activates instantly if you die and hit a medigel before you hit the ground.

I hope so. I got tired of Krogans coming into my ME3MP matches and jumping into the middle of everything. Made playing smart much harder. I was always least likely to revive a Krogan.

Infiltrators were OP. Krogans were good but other than the Kroguard, other kits do what they do better imo.
