A remastered Mass Effect Trilogy could soon be a reality! In contrast to their past views, Patrick Soderlund, the vice president of EA revealed in a recent Game Informer interview that the company is actively looking into creating remastered versions of their games. The high demand from fans and the first installment's success as an Xbox One backwards compatible title could lead to a remastering of the Mass Effect trilogy. Here's all the info!
What aspects of a potential remastered ME trilogy are you most excited about? When do you think it could potentially be released?
If it does get remastered, hopefully all dlc will be included in the price

Too bad they are just now looking into the remastering of the Shepard Trilogy. There is no way it will be done by the time Andromeda comes out. If this was last year then it would have been great since they could release it around now or in the Summer and get everyone hyped.
Hopefully it happens because I know I would love to play a remastered trilogy. I'm interested in seeing what graphical updates it could get, that and hopefully it comes with most if not all of the DLC for the three games. It would be cool if it released before or around the time Andromeda releases to let those who haven't played the games play it, especially for those who are interested in ME:A. Although, we'll just have to wait and see.
Long and short is they should've released this info last year when the gaming community at large was hyped up about the idea.
Instead they said it wouldnt happen. Plain dumb.
After 5 years and $40 million they give you a Mass Effect beta demo to prepare for Anthem. Sold at full price featuring never to be resolved cliffhangers. BioWare is over Pyjaks.

Yeah it'll take a while to do. Defo before a ME5, maybe sooner, but defo not before Andromeda.

Unless Andromeda gets delayed till Holiday 17. Considering there “polish, polish, polish” approach it might give the neccessary time for a Remaster to come out; as a “sorry” of sorts. Although it'll depend on what kind of “Remaster” it is. Personally, out of all the Remasters that have been released this is the one I wanted the most. Please, please, please let this be a reality!
I can't see it any better than now. The animations, dialogue.. etc is the same.
They'd probably move it over to frostbite. So visually it'd look better. Maybe improve animations, and streamline the combat system.
Which is great.
Especially where ME1 combat is concerned. Just hope we dont lose some of the feel along the way. ME1 had a grainy old school movie style sometimes, which helped set the atmosphere. It was charming.
Gah.
Now im all excited and pondering the possibilities.

Thank you for the video! Love the idea of a remaster especially of ME1. I would buy it without a second thought. Also I expect all DLCs and weapon/armor packs INCLUDING the promotional ones to be there.

yeah that's never happening. if they are planing a re-master it will still be in Unreal engine, hopefully UE4. Moving it over to frostbite would require making the game from scratch, it's development hell. plus i don't think the BW team has time to work on a new game now, with MEA still in development as well as their Secret IP. If it's really coming, the re-master will probably be outsourced to another development team. It's all in EA's hands and how much they want to cash in on the ME cash cow.

Ah! Gotcha. Unreal 4 still looks pretty darn good though:

UE4 is actually one of the best looking engines out there now. they are leaps and bounds ahead of everybody when it comes to PBR shaders (helps simulate real life materials more accurately) made specifically for game characters and hair. Recent Unreal games: Abzu, Final Fantasy 7 remake (in development), Paragon, Lawbreakers, XCOM 2, Gears of War 4 (in development), Vampyr, We Happy Few, Adrift, Hellblade, Street Fighter 5, Batlleborn and many more coming in the future. it's the most used engine in gaming industry. ME on UE4 would actually look amazing, imagine ME characters of this quality
these are all in game characters. so there is still reason to be excited for a ME re-master.

They look fantastic, but I'd like to see them maintain that level of fidelity when you have a dozen other characters running around in an high detail, open-world setting...
i really like pathfinder's setting but i REALLY don't like how focused on min/maxing the rules are. it's designed from the ground up by and for min/maxer's and autists. the rest of us normies have to play on crayon eater difficulty just to hit a target. j00t Fires Of Heaven www.firesofheaven.org/
I wonder what would happen if the remastered trilogy out sells MEA?
