No, AP had 4 dialogue options all the time, it also had the most stupid AI I have ever seen in a game, plus MEA graphics is not that bad. I liked how most characters look in AP, I loved Mina (I hope I remember her name correctly lol) Ah and yeah, AP was also very buggy.
except the graphics aren't outdated in fact they are probably the most demanding of any AAA game ive played in a while. The facial animations are slightly outdated yes but not the actual graphical fidelity.
This game will be fine it just has to deal with the ME3 ending I now hate MEA debacle.
To me Mass Effect is the new Nickleback. It will become an internet joke/popular to hate on it even if you have never played it.

The main complaints towards alpha protocol was it's gameplay, which was complete crap. Don't get me wrong absolutely love the game for it's story, characters, and choices, but gameplay was the real reason why it was never received well.
I really wish that alpha protocol was given another chance though for a sequel. I still linger on hopes that a remake would be done sometime in my life lol.
Ok just to clarify when I say outdated graphics I am referring to the human faces. They are not up to today's standard. But yes the rest of the game is beautiful. But all anyone seems to focus on is the human faces and animations.

True, and they focus on them because they are one of the few flaws people can actually find in the game when watching it. CC being another.
For those that played it on the trial the none saving in critical missions also got overblown (claiming they had to go back and do 30mins+ worth of content) Absolute BS the game auto saves regularly.
MEA has for some reason or another become the 'in thing' to criticise. PewDePie doing an attack video on it pretty much sums up how popular it is now to hate on MEA.

This^ is what bothers me so much. The game is awesome and the people at Bioware worked their asses off to get us another Mass Effect game, but people want to focus on a little flaw while seemingly ignoring all the positives.
It's honestly aggravating to see the bad press and bandwagon jumping the game is getting. All people can talk about is the CC and facial animations. Which is, in actuality, a very small part of the game. You're looking at the back of your character's head the majority of the time.
The CC is fine; and the facial animations, while weird at times, is definitely not a game breaker.
If Andromeda is undone, it'll be because of hate for Bioware/EA, not for the game. The game is great. As with all Bioware games, it has flaws. But aside from some derpy animations and minor gripes, I'm loving the game. I don't get the fixation on small flaws.

This.
If bioware had released the witcher 3 the internet right now would be full of videos of
ZOMG no character creator at all Voice actor is astrocious geralt sounds almost emotionless (hes supposed to) Horse constantly gets stuck cancelling pre-order Combat is shit its more like geralt does ballet
But it isn't made by BioWare so was judged on the gaming experience as a whole and justifiably loved by most and even those who don't like the style acknowledge its a good game.

Yes which is why it's awkward and up for so much ridicule. The amount of technical jank, all things considered is just below BioWare's AAA standards. Obsidian was never seen as a big AAA like BioWare in the Mass Effect early days.

Wow, that looks visually, aesthetically appealing and the gameplay mechanics look pretty good.

By graphics do you mean animations? Some of the environments I've seen look really good for this game. Also alpha protocol had terribad gameplay which Andromeda clearly doesn't.
If anyone is depressed or crying over how disappointing Andromeda is when they've finished it, I suggest you get this and Zelda and you'll forget everything about it. Alpha Protocol is like 8-10 hours long but the branching paths are awesome and while it can appear unappealing the characters are rather deep. I really, really want the whole world to give AP a chance and brush aside the bad gunplay.

Preaching to the crowd, this is one of a very select number of games I make sure to play at least once a year

I agree, it seems people just want to focus on the negatives, but that was the exact same thing as all the previews as well. Even the positive reviews people would just pull out the negative things the reviewer was saying and ignore the positive things they were saying. Unfortunately this has happened so many times I am not really sure how many people are really going to be swayed about it. Now as much as I dislike VGChartz for they base their numbers on a lot of speculations and calculations, if you compare the first three Mass Effect games Mass Effect 3 had the most sales with the standard caveat of we don't know how they estimated certain sales numbers. So it could be all these people complaining about the facial animations and the character creator could drive more people to buy the game.
