According to the files, Avela is a romance option only for Scott. I know. Bullshit, right? Because Straight Scott needed one more lady for his harem. According to the official prima guide, it was never stated she was exclusive to anybody. Anyhow, it couldn't hurt to try. Either you can or can't romance her with Sara. Report back for results!  |

I haven't seen anything further beyond the first time you talk with her yet, but you can ask more detail about her life. Apparently, she inherited the curator job, and she has fourteen siblings. Hope she's a full romance as well.

Yup, just met her. Looks like only straight players can romance Angara. *sigh* Straight Scott can try to sweet talk the governor of Aya, too. No options for SisRyder to do the same. It's like the real plot of this game is about StraightBroRyder jamming his dick in every black hole he can find. |

Just found this, but here's the full romance video. The dialogue near the end before the second kiss kinda implied that the relationship isn't over, but whether it'll be rekindled remains to be seen.

Before dragon age inquisition, I was skeptic about the romances that were off squad like josephine because I was scared of the kelly chambers romance type, which means very little cut scenes and barely any dialogue. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got to experience it and it shows that even non squadmates can be very good romance. Now we can only pray for more Avela. |

I really like her and am enjoying her romance. One of my favorite romance conversations I heard while walking around the museum is between her and one of her employees.
Employee: You seem to be getting close to the pathfinder/You and the pathfinder seem close...
Avela: Yes, I appreciate his help/friendship.
Employee: That's not what I mean...
Avela: Don't you have work to do?
I'm off on a few words here and there, but I thought it was pretty funny.

I find that the Angaran ladies like Avela and Paaran are the more interesting female NPCs in the game.
I love the many little tidbits about Avela that we can glean from talking with her assistants and from datapads lying around.
Design wise, I don't find Avela or the Angaran visually appealing but her character more than makes up for it.
