Out of interest for the Avela fans I found a couple of pieces of information in ME:A's Masters Strings List that you might find interesting:

1) Avela (known as Curator at the time) was originally a man.
2) Avela would've been involved in an exploration of a remnant ruin in one of the many cut Tasks.

I'll see if I can grab the exact strings later, but I thought you might find it interesting.
