No, we don't. The problems with this game have nothing to do with Shepard and everything to do with the Mass Effect IP being passed off to Bioware's C team, a studio which had never developed a full game. Perhaps on the technical aspects of it, but I really cannot wait to actually get into this game and play it in its entirety so I can judge for myself to compare to this sort of criticism. And really, from what I can tell from the feedback on BSN old and new, whether it was the A team or B,C or Z team didn't seem to make much of a difference when it came to the litany of issues the original trilogy had. |

I want more Shepard stuff. Great, mindtwisty, fun Shepard stuff. Do something with all those Rio references too. I'm all for touching ME3.
However, I never want to play as him again, at least not as the protagonist of a game. No thank you. Done with that. Old news. Leave that grunt behind while I zip around on my jetpack.

I'm definately happy to move past Shepard and start up a new adventure with a new person. Shepard was like a badass from the start, but here I get to start as a normal guy, one of the crew who steps up to the challenge and BECOMES someone as you play. Growth, I like that.

I want my nerdy explorer this time around, so I'm glad to leave Shep behind. I love my nerdy and unsure explorer that has to grow into the role. It's nice with some variety especially after three games. |

What would've happened if Bioware made a new game with Shepard? The answer is simple; the internet would be in a shitstorm bigger than it is now because Bioware ruined their favorite character. I really cannot understand why people are so spoiled it is a videogame ffs you play it to have a good time and forget about your daily life, if you don't enjoy this one simply play another game don't ruin the exprience for other people too

This is going to sound cold, but Shepard is dead. You need to get over it. If he/she chose CONTROL, they have the immortal bodies of reapers who are known to travel unfathomable distances in deep, dark space. Perhaps they can visit some day! That would be so awesome. I would cackle with glee. Imagine, the end of the this trilogy. Ryder is in a massive struggle with the big baddie. Whoever it happens to be. The whole crew is there. One final stand against all odds... and the die. All of them, chewed up and spit out. And as the big baddie laughs dancing on your corpse, boom. Reaper shows up in the Andromeda. And as the screen fades to black you hear, 'Hi! This is Commander Shepard. And this is my favorite Nexus in Andromeda! In my defense I had foot surgery recently and I am heavily medicated.. |

Is it just me who never really liked Shepard that much?  I'm not saying the new character will be better but As a character Shepard was a tad generic I guess, even with all the choices you had. i do not know...maybe? because Shepard character/personality and hell all his story was the core of the game ..Shepard was the soul of the game. |

Never really felt connected to Shepard. It was the story and companions that kept me going. I think femshep is very well voiced though, if that counts for something. Really?..weird imho. Did you ever felt connected to the game then? because the game story was Shepard story. |

I would not be against Shepard coming back for Andromeda II. We know that there is suppose to be more arks coming in the future, why not put Shepard on one of them? With Jack(insert other inferior LI here) of course.
Depending on how Andromeda does, Shepard may be BioWare's only hope.
