And if there are only a few open worlds, who cares? I mean, yeah, there should be more, but think about how large these worlds are compared to ME1, and all the things you can do on them. They are huge, right?! One world in Andromeda can probably equal to three in ME1. And let's not forget DLC, because you know that there will be. Look at the bigger picture, people.

Even if BioWare fixes things, you honestly think the haters will change? They'll keep going. They've been at it since Mass Effect 3, and they will never, EVER stop. BioWare will try something else, then WHAM, more complaints, hate rants, and harassment. They are wild fire, and there's no water to take them out. Where is Jaime Lannister when you need him?

Here's the thing to take into account: The only thing critics universally agree upon is the technical issues. Otherwise, they leap across the fence in one direction or the other with regards to every other aspect of the game.True. I can hardly remember a game where professional reviews varied to such an extent across the board. These guys lament bad story, those guys over there praise it for still having old ME magic. Combat runs the gamut from boring and repetitive to better than ever. It's crazy how "consensusless" these early reviews seem to be.

French jeuxvideo.com (biggest french online videogame website): 15/20 (7.5/10) Pros: The universe Good balance between colonisation phases andd combat time Good amount of gametime Good multiplayer Tempest feels alive from the inside Breathtaking landscapes Cons: Indoor and face design The characters lack some charisma Too much scanner kiills the scanner Too many bugs and technical issues Choices that are less impactfull than in MET Boring and too long introduction Gameblog(second french biggest) 7/10 Pros: Gigantic universe A good Mass Effect spin off Real exploration is returning The new dialog system Relationships with squadmates Dynamic combat Good multiplayer Very good longevity Cons: Technical aspect of the game is subtier No real ending: Expect a real conclusion in follow up Choices matter less Too few bosses CC is too limited I hope this is usefull to you

Same. I'm not one of the ones saying "Shut it down. Mass Effect is over." online. I want this setting to grow and shine. But I do think this needs to be the wake up call. Perhaps overdue. Huh? Nah, I don't care about haters, this isn't about them.

I'm seeing a lot of people in denial right now. It must be very easy and justifiable for you to say that, isn't it? No, not in denial. If I enjoy the game, then I enjoy the game. No questions asked, and no amount of accusations of denial is going to stop that.

This thing looks like it might be Mass Effect's DA2. 75 now with still potential to go up to upper 70s, and then count say Gamespot out and it'd be low 80s. But that's a more optimistic view. Realistically, at least also relatively speaking, yes, this is ME's 'DA2' of sorts.

There's a bit of conflicting opinions on that. Others said 5. Not that it changes much. I was expecting to have at least as many big planets as DAI had big regions. Still despite these reviews I think MEA's planets will be more intesting than DAI's often grindy areas. So maybe less is more I'm kind of relieved they went with fewer with more to do. DAI could easily have done with 3-4 regions being scrapped and their content rolled into the others.

EurogamerThat is really disheartening to read. The last thing this game needed to be was DA:I in space. I personally don't mind, I am a weird fella in that I actually enjoyed Dragon Age Inquisition, hahah. I am however very worried about the seemingly excessive amount of bugs and glitches tho.

This thing looks like it might be Mass Effect's DA2. That's Edmonton's body of work. This would be like comparing an undergraduate paper to the dean of the university's seminal work. Their report card is still very much in the mail. As for the rookies *anderson voice* you did good kid, you did good*.

The only thing they can agree on is that the technical issues are a noticeable flaw. Otherwise none of them can agree on anything. Not the writing, not the characters, not the game world, not the combat. Not a goddamn thing. So there's nothing to deny. Also 75% is not even remotely a bad score or some death knell for the company.

So far the only concern i have is the "less impactfull choices". That's supposed to be in ME's DNA. From technical issues to bad CC and facial animations: I don't care.

So seeing 70s for MEA is disheartening but with luck (and patches, and updates, and DLCs, and a new GPU) I'll be enjoying it now or later as an 80s and that's fine by me.

The writing is nearly full consensus of bad, dude... at least on the reviews I've been reading and I've read plenty of them already. And they are pretty universal on the combat too, although thankfully the consensus for this is that it is a good one.

Reaching high 70s.
Slight chance of low 80s, not gonna hope for it.
Good enough to make a positive impression on casual looks, bad enough to be an alarm.
