*** The Things Pugs Say ***

Just now...dropped into a lobby of 2 N7 20's with level 13 characters...who were using mics.....One of them said " Back when I used to play this game back in the day,there was this really mighty character..it was a krogan...oh, a Krogan Warlord that was so powerful, he could one shot any enemy with a sniper rifle. "......same game was a cerberus white game... " Kaiju, come here with us, were are holding back here, you have to join us if you want to live.." ..<---was the old FBWGG room....no thanks....i was a falcon disruptor ammo using male quarian engineer....I would also hear at random times..." How is that Kaiju staying alive?" ...and everytime I tac scanned an atlas one of them would yell " focus all fire on that atlas, I can see it cuz its glowing red.." .....that match made me miss the days of being a young N7.

Not a word was said, but their actions spoke volumes enough. I was in a lobby with two great pugs, who used mics, and a third who, despite being N7 1624, was using a Shuriken I and no equipment whatsoever. We wondered for a bit how anyone gets to N7 1624 and still has a Shuriken I?

(They also only had 440 CP, which raises additional questions)

Maybe they are doing the whole "only play Gold with no gear and then barely scrape up enough cash for a PSP, repeat" thing, so we mentioned to them that if they are going to do Gold with a Shuriken, at least do yourself a favor and have a Shuriken X. It's not expensive. And it will come off the drop table in the higher packs. It would suck to open a 60k PSP and find a Shuriken II, right?

They did alright, though, even beating one of the other pugs on the scoreboard. Back in the lobby, they equipped a Claymore X for two minutes, then switched back to their Shuriken I.

I guess they thought they were proving a point. But what they were really proving is, I'm afraid, beyond their comprehension.

I had a quick game then... (just 1 because Dragon Age)... when I joined it was an objective the hacking ones... and there was a guy out of the circle at the other end of the map...
Everything was quiet then a guy stood in the circle suddenly shouted really loudly into his headset (he was also Texan by the sound of things)... he said "COME BACK AND DO THE OBJECTIVE YOURE MAKING US GO SLOWER YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE"
... it made me jump because it was just so loud and then I started laughing just a computer game dude

Dropped into a GiP on Wave 2 Gold Reactor Hazard against Cerberus. Game was pretty fun, decent teammembers who even used their mics appropriately to tell you if they could reach you for pick-up or if you had to gel. Had been playing a little recklessly with my Phoenix Adept, so come extraction I had no medi-gels or Ops Packs left.

Alright. Extraction begins, one of the two PUGs (who apparently were playing together) says: "Time for those kill streaks!" His friend answered "Hell, yeah man!" - I was just like: "Oh god no, please - no...."

As you can imagine, I didn't make it to extraction....     Back in the lobby, I saw that they both proudly showed off their BotB-Banners. I left in silent shame...

Indeed.  As a BSN'er you should be able to carry to Wave 11 with all 6 (or 9) of your missiles unused.  Once that first pug spawn nuke occurs, you let 'em rip and put those pugs right in their places.

Update: I reached out to said pug and have now taken them under my wing. I think it's high time to revive the Adopt-A-Pug program from too long ago. I've notice a quite large influx of newish players on PS3 and it'll benefit all in the long run. Please, think of the poor, lonely, friendless pugs out there.

It's all about the outreach. Sure, some are too far gone and need to be put down for their own good. Every now and then though, there's that diamond in the rough.

"Leave the lobby, you cheater.", said the pug who just joined me, his statement followed by a big red X on my name.
WTF? 
OK... I guess you don't want the 12 000 000 credits.  ... Just kidding. No space magic in public games, ever. He left after a while, nobody else joined and I didn't feel like doing a solo, so I went pugging. 
But later the mighty RNG brought me back to his lobby. Of course he put a kick vote on me. But he was sitting there all alone, so I invited Reaver729 to join me. It was just the three of us and the pug obviously insisted on me leaving and him staying. So I have written "How about goodbye!" and we managed to kick him out.   After that, we had a nice Fat Turian duo. 

Jesus Christ, :

" Lets kick this son of a bitch Kaiju Dayman, cuz I saw him do something weird with the missile at the beginning of the game where it disappeared and now the mantis he is using is way over powered, I know cuz I used it before, I dont care what infiltrator or character you use the mantis with, it cant kill stuff like that so he must be doing that missile glitch thing." ......

god I wanted to turn my mic on and explain the glory that is the full weapon damage female human infiltrator w mantis and drill rounds........ #PS3Pugs4Life

" Dude, stop using up all of your medigel...me and my friend are right next to you and will pick you up next time...." " God this guy dies alot, how much medigel do you think it caps out at?"
