Alexis Kennedy 🕯️ @alexiskennedy Edmonton has the third best coffee I've ever tasted, BioWare have their own geese and Canada smells like magic rain. What MORE do you WANT
Ms Grumpy Girdle @tanyaagt surf & pasties?
Mark Darrah @biomarkdarrah There's a big wave pool.
Ms Grumpy Girdle @tanyaagt we've got this... and geese If you have to work inland & in a city Edmonton sounds a pretty cool place
John Epler @eplerjc Hey, our job pages has been updated! Now with more details! www.bioware.com/en/careers/ This information can be used to avoid/seek me out as you apply, depending on personal preference. And you get to work directly with me! Which may or may not be a positive, depending. Importantly, we've stopped changing the job title for working with me, on my team! career4.successfactors.com/sfcareer/jobreqcareer?jobId=111432&company=EA&username= … And solidified the description!
Alexis Kennedy 🕯️ @alexiskennedy I cannot emphasise enough that the most valuable creative lesson I ever learnt for getting past a block was 'go and have a wee'
Sheryl @sherylchee That works for you too?!
Alexis Kennedy 🕯️ @alexiskennedy endorsement from BioWare's finest enter the Water Temple with me, sisters and brothers
Sheryl @sherylchee It's not just me! @biomarykirby and I have had discussions about the magical properties of the washroom.
Alexis Kennedy 🕯️ @alexiskennedy I remember after the nth time I came back into a writers' meeting with a post-wee solution someone said 'do you keep your familiar in there'
Jo Berry @joanna_Berry I use "making a cup of tea" too. 🙂 Either way, 90% of my writing problem-solving is done away from my desk. The other 10% involves writing down "I need a solution to X plot or character problem" on a note card and then doing something else. By the time I come back to it, I take a look and go: "oh yeah, I see how to fix that now. Easy."
All kidding aside, these are all pretty well validated techniques for encouraging your subconscious to be creative and solve problems. Sometimes the conscious mind just gets in the way, so you need to distract it or lull it into a quieter mode. It's why so many people have the experience of getting their best ideas in the shower.
Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!

Well, since we're on Dragon Age twitter thread.... sleep happens to be considered really good in that regard as well.
“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”
I believe it works because you aren't thinking too hard and trying to force things ...
However, my enlarged prostate prevents this weeing technique from working for me.
John Epler @eplerjc: Having been in this industry for a while, one thing has proven out, time and time again. Success belongs to the team, and failure belongs to leadership. No game is a one-person show, or even close.

So a little OT, but, considering the bold hints now for DA(4) ... anyone want to prognosticate when the announcement they're working on it will be? I think it's definitely going to be sooner than the Anthem release.

We could probably do that in the DA4 speculation thread, though, right?
In any case - I agree with you.
I think the delay of Anthem will cause them to announce DA4 before Anthem comes out.

Huh I didn't know there was a DA4 speculation thread, thanks for the heads up.
