So what I'm hearing is it could be another Dragon Age game OR you guys could be building a portal into the actual Dragon Age universe? Y/N?

My guess? Either someone wrote a fanfiction or created an elaborate headcanon that Trespasser ruins or they're not happy where Trespasser takes us story-wise.

The person said they liked it, though...

They can't officially confirm because of legal stuff or something, but we know what they're doing hence all the winking.

Yeah, as Wicked Crone said, it's for various legal/marketing reasons. The wink/nudge thing has been a staple of BioWare's for years now...

Oh, I'm not talking about that person. Just someone who likely began claiming that the DLC is non-canon, enough for worried people to tweet Mike Laidlaw.

What if the DA project is a total remaster of Origin in Frostbite? Otherwise it might be the tactical game they talked about . . .

Hopefully it's really DA4 and not a cel phone app.

I asked it because we had a convo on this forum today about dual protagonist. ImoTrespasser has too many things specifically designed to take Inquisitor out of the picture. But if they did start DA4 (unconfirmed title) from the end of vanilla game instead, there is no reason not to continue with the Inquisitor. So I wanted to get out of the horse's mouth that it is impossible (alas).

Ironically, Trespasser was the DLC that convinced me that Inquisitor will be coming back at some capacity, so I'm not sure how it's specifically designed to take Inquisitor out of the picture...

Trespasser so far suggests the role of a boss.

Maybe a better way to make it clear to us would have been in the last scene in Trespasser with the secret meeting in the dungeon. Don't show us the leader at all. Just show their back, so the person with the knife is never revealed to us, but they have their hand so we all would know it's not the Inquisitor. You wouldn't know if they are man or woman or even elven or Qunari, it could be pretty vague. Leliana would enter the room and between her and Cassandra, the same information would get out about the situation. The leader then stabs the knife into the map of Tevinter, you would have a secret organization in the works, and set up the next protagonist just like that.
