I actually felt like crap when Keri made it clear she'd told the bartender to keep on eye out for my actually LI.

Heh, I do think it's funny that there isn't an opt out option when you go out with her considering that everyone else has one. But at the same time if you've been flirting with her for that long and then agree to meet up with her, maybe it's fair that she assumes you're up for it.

I think there isn't because the date is really just fulfilling an earlier conversation with her about going out once her story is done. During that conversation you discuss doing that and even if you met someone else by then so if you agree at that point it is assumed you are fine with it. There probably could have been another opportunity, but I can see why for resource reasons they didn't since it would be a repeat of a discussion that already happened. 

Why is sleeping with journalist is still a thing again?

Keri fan \o. I romanced her exclusively on my first Ryder character. While Keri suffers from disjointed writing as does her romance, I enjoyed it. It's also lead to some good fanfiction on my part.

Funny enough, if you romance her exclusively, at end game you just get the comment where she sort of indicates that the relationship will continue. I do hope we get more to her.

I'd kinda like to see Keri get some kind of redesign in future patches/DLC/sequel, even if only a minor one, to try to make her stand out and mitigate the "clone" problem that plagues most of the Asari characters in MEA. They tweaked Liara's look over the orig-trig, so a redesign wouldn't be unprecedented?

I saw the images of that mod. The default face for her is so much better than anything in the mod in my opinion.

I'm kinda curious, Does her romance change if you are only into her?

\o romanced her exclusively on Alex. Not really.

The only thing that really changes is that at endgame when she runs up to Ryder and worries about the possibilities of the relationship continuing. Ryder questions whether she wants it to continue, to which she gives Ryder the same non-answer she gives otherwise: "Maybe we'll have something to hold onto." :-\ 

In short, the option to "break up" with her isn't there implying that it might continue. However, the dialogue and her codex entries don't align. Aggravating to the point where I re-wrote this scene and the date scene altogether. Sad, really, because her dialogue makes it seem like if you are romancing her exclusively, she would want something more permanent.

I do think that Ryder's choices, if he/she remains exclusive to her, give her romance a lot more substance. It really felt incomplete, to be honest, so I wrote a ton of fanfiction around her including what led up to this piece of art.
