The only thing that worries me about that is that she is still listed as a "fling" option. I am all like, she is not a fling to Alex! I've also been dropping subtle hints that it's time that Mass Effect explored the idea of having serious romance options that are not squadmates. I like the idea of permanent romance not being tied to being stuck on a ship with someone, let alone the lack of professionalism in romancing a squadmate. My Ryder isn't a cad and she would never romance a squadmate, and I don't think she should get short changed by the writers in the romance department because of how she wrote herself while I was playing.
Keri is supposed to be Diana Allers 2.0, but her dialogue is so much sweeter, and her backstory has so much more substance. I've enjoyed playing with this character in my fics so far. I also really want to Bioware to expand on the being disowned by her family storyline. Dealing with this when it comes to someone in my personal life, it would be nice if this wasn't just a gratuitous nod to people who might have trust issues because of that kind of betrayal.
The other thing I would love for them to expand on: She is in the best position to be Shadow Broker of Heleus. Honest regardless of what answer choices you gave her (she put herself through hell for Ryder whether you support the Initiative propaganda machine or not), she has the trust of everyone so long as your Ryder gave her honest answers, and she could easily wield that as a weapon. Especially against Tann.

Especially against Tann. While yes the wording is weird and says fling, I would actually argue she is not since as I said she occupies the Romance tile. That means that if you select her, you can't have anybody else listed as a romance. Compare that to Diana and Kelly(though this one doesn't make sense) in the Shepard section or Avela in the Ryder section whose romance subplots don't occupy the Romance tile meaning in that you can say Shepard or Ryder did that plus another romance subplot. I definitely think that Bioware sowed the seeds of a non-ship romance in Andromeda after seeinmg how popular it was in Dragon Age: Inquisition. In this case, instead of Josephine and Cullen it is Keri and Reyes.

In this case, instead of Josephine and Cullen it is Keri and Reyes. Agreed. I am just concerned that the codex writing and the actual writing don't line up and that will kill a really good character. I have been not so subtle with Bioware when it comes to the idea of keeping Keri if we do get a sequel. I think the end game dialogue with her, if you are with someone else, is meant to imply that you have to choose her or another LI, but back to Keri's romance being unfinished. I also really want to see something more meaty for her than to be Yeoman Rand, just standing at the docking port waiting for Ryder. Some story ideas I've been playing with are letting her go off the Nexus (visit to Eos, interview with Sloane Kelly, visit to Aya), what happened when the Kett attacked the station, her relationship with Tann and Addison, who she was to the Matriarchs and how she fits in with the Asari ark, and where she was during the Uprising and afterward. Totally not letting up on her until we get word that she's coming back and in what capacity.
