I played for 10 hours straight.
I haven't done that since Civilization 5 released.

LOVE IT!!! It's NOT the Shepard Trilogy, it isn't...but...it serves as a good origin story for the Andromeda and the Ryders. It would be a serious shame if they dumped them for a different protagonist. I kinda imagine Shep during their early years like this. We met Shep years later, when they were an N7, tough as nails, and already a one person army. Give the Ryders time...the next game, five or so years later, I'd like to see that...matured and experienced. That would be interesting.

The main problem I see is more a gameplay thing, since Ryder can essentially become a jack of all trades thanks to the profile system and the lack of a solid level cap. The next game would probably throw in some kind of weird contrived nonsense to account for the skill reset, which is basically what Project Lazarus was.

I love everything about it! Playing the old ME games I used to say "I wish I could explore this" or "I wish this was an option" and now it all is, and I'm having the best time ever!

The next game would probably throw in some kind of weird contrived nonsense to account for the skill reset, which is basically what Project Lazarus was. That's a fair point. It'd be hard to bring them back in that sense...and making you switch to the other twin for your play though would feel cheap. Yeah, it was a thought, and pulling the reset would just be a rehash of what was done before. Perhaps a mentor then, instead of the player character? Shoot, I had my hopes up until rationality set in, lol...

I would give the game 8/10, but for the fact of the horrible eyes on most characters including your own, and the extremely poor CC. I have seen better CC's on games ten years old.
So, as it stands I give it 7/10. Omit those two flaws with the game and it's one fabulous game.

You know what? I actually kind of love it. The first 10 hours were a slog, and did not convince me, but after some Pathfinding the game really picked up. So far i am very happy with my purchase.

I love it,the writing is the main thing holding it back for me. It's like they delegated some characters/parts to interns who occasionally write fan-fics. Like Gil... i mean, jesus christ.

Very happy. Haven't preordered for nearly 2 years but broke it with this game.
I never bought ME3 because I was furious with the Prothean DLC but I'm so happy I preordered this. It's a better version of ME1 with new characters and universe. Really happy.

If I'm not mistaken, haters, trolls and perpetually disgruntled people are losing ground, so I'm very happy: with the game, and with this fact.

Yep, user score on metacritic went from 3.8 last time I looked to 4.0! Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the game so far, although I'm much in the beginning. The multiplayer was super fun though, spent a few hours there already. Still waiting to hear 1 single convincig reason why anyone would go to Andromeda however, or someone to mention that the Milk Way was not explored at all and was full of "frontiers" just as unknown as going to another galaxy. Last bad motive was from Cora. No place in the Milk Way? Oh yeah, I'm sure Grissom Academy, just as a single example, would hate to have a biotic of her abilities... but I suppose she thought 600 years in stasis would make people forget their prejudices...

Have played around 30 hours so far via VPN and I like it alot so far. Sure, the animations are not the best I've seen, but its nothing that brakes the immersion. + Performance on PC. Running great on an i5 4690, 16 Gb Ram, GTX 970 on mostly ultra settings. + Combat is alot of fun, big upgrade from the previous games. The weapons feel and sound good! + Characters are well done, and while facial animations are a little bit lacking, the voice actors are really good in general. Favorite characters so far: Jaal, Suvi and Kallo. + I have an urge to play more! When I'm not playing, I think about the game and what to do next - Animations - The menu's (especially the quest menu) and interface are abit confusing at the start. Takes some time to get used to, including the map. - The automated conversations, especially from Ryder, are sometimes far too casual for my taste. +/- The overwhelmingly amount of things to do are both a + and - . Sometimes driving around to different things on the map gets a little bit boring. Some quests are great, some feels like the typical MMO type: go there, collect that. The "puzzles" get a little boring after the first few. +/- The music so far are a little bit disapointing, nothing really sticks except the start menu wich is great. The sounds are better though. So, all in all a positive experience for me. I have not done too much of the main quest (I think) to comment on that, but I am curious as to where it will lead me. So far, the game gets a 8/10.

I also felt that it was a very cheap tactic to simply make far more $$ because of fans going for it.

I'm not that far into it. So far, I'm enjoying myself. There are plenty of glitches, weird geometry interactions, and the writing is pretty terrible at times. Particularly when they try to make the squadmates lovable and snarky, it just comes across as someone trying too hard. And I'm appalled by how often the squadmate's dialogue consists of them describing their own personalities rather than demonstrating them. Some of the reasoning for them joining the crew also seems kinda weak, particularly in the case of Drack, who 'heard' that we were responsible for fixing Eos (How? We literally just left the vault and the only person who would know not in the squad was Peebee, and she immediately shot off in a shuttle) and just decided to join up with little explanation.
That being said, I am enjoying the game and despite myself the squad is starting to grow on me. So I guess I'm still happy with my purchase.
