So yesterday left Havarl and returned to Eos to see the Asari refugees and stayed to clear pretty much everything. Just a few missions like placing Survey Beacons to finish up. Took down the Kett Command Centre, Defeated the Architect and gave Prodromos water Adven can figure it out for themslves. After defeating The Architect, the game had a glitch and thought I still needed to finish the fight, it meant I couldn't Fast Travel which was a real pain in the butt. Enjoying the view

A huge wave of relief came over me when I finished that save. I guess I'll make a new Ryder but I won't be playing on insanity again for a while. I need to hone mah skillz a bit more.
And why didn't anybody tell me there's a mod that stops environmental hazards from damaging you? I'd like to use it, but maybe just for Voeld and after the vault, not for the whole thing. But I'd kind of like to not freeze my ass off while exploring at least. I'll give that a try in my next PT. Or maybe the cold won't even be an issue if I'm not on insanity. I'll figure it out when I get there. I wouldn't want to remove the feature entirely but it would be nice to enable on Voeld once the vault is done. Or maybe after the vault and architect is done so it doesn't feel TOO cheaty.
Perhaps my next challenge will to go for 100% completion and to find all the model ships? I like giving myself challenges.

Finvola and dazk would you really use that mod just for Voeld? I accidentally broke Voeld's hazards once, while trying to fix them, so there were none of them active at all. (Voeld without cold is actually booooring af ) I don't know if that also affects the Voeld-Vault-Colds though One problem with any edits of that sort is that they make game saves on that planet incompatible. Meaning any save made there with the mod, requires the mod installed to load the save. And any save made without the mod cannot be loaded with the mod installed. Would you actually be interested in something like that?

If the hazard could be made to work properly, definitely interested. I had both kinds of bugs in my recent game - I went from no hazard at all to constant level 2 hazard (after resetting the vault) because I went back to the architect area while chasing something else. The hazard went back to level 1 after I entered a 'safe' zone around a monolith and came back out.
I read the few posts at Nexus about this mod and people say it worked inside the vault. That alone would be worth it. None of the other vaults have the hazard inside them so it seems strange the Voeld one does. Who knows if it was intentional or not. Given the devs made the hazard bug worse when trying to fix it, it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't intentional but they couldn't figure out how to fix it there either.

Yeah, any sort of actual fix for Voeld is beyond my capabilities, i'm afraid I can just break Voeld enough for there to be no hazards at all on that planet At least on the surface, i think the vault is actually governed by another asset, so that would likely keep the hazards. Honestly i don't even know how voeld's hazards manage break that much. Unlike the other planets there is no logic or anything to alter the hazard level after the vault has been activated, fine, it should remain cold then. But these wild instances of just random way too high hazard levels make absolutely no sense to me...

Last night did archon's ship. Saved the krogan scouts (sorry Raeka).
Someone apparently typo'd the Paarchero's name on the ark - doh!

I came across an audio log in the lab area that I don't remember hearing before, where archon is talking about Alec interacting with the remnant on Habitat 7. There's a lot of little things on the ship hinting at the possibility of Alec being taken by the kett for study. I would hope the crew wouldn't have just left him there but it's odd we never see or hear about what happened to his body.

I used it for an hour yesterday and yes I agree my first thoughts were this is a bit boring but after a bit I just didn't care as it makes it so much easier and as this is my 23rd time playing or maybe 22 I have conquered the challenges of the cold on Voeld and it's on again off again variables. I am really looking forward to having it installed for the vault and The Architect most of all especially as I am playing on Insanity. I have no worries keeping it installed to use the saves whilst I am on Voeld but I may uninstall it after I complete Voeld, Elaaden doesn't worry me the heat.

They do mention at the beginning that they want to go back for the other guy's body (Kirkland?) but I wonder if they had the time to do that. I'd like to think Alec's body was recovered as he would have been right next to Scott/Sara, but maybe they didn't have the time and he became a kett science experiment. *shudders* I started a new save last night. I left her name as Sara, I didn't go with the default names for my previous Ryders. I did give her some flare, but didn't go over the top like with the TartRyders. I tried out a new hairstyle. I prefer CC hair that doesn't clip, so I went with this one. Although it does bug me that it also gives Addison whatever fancy hairstyle Ryder's got. There is another mod for that too (replaces Addison's hair) but for now I'm choosing to ignore it. I just finished setting up the outpost on Eos. Because I'm starting all over again, I grumbled a bit at the thought of having to solve decryption puzzles myself until the keys became available, but at least the early ones are easy enough to solve. Is it still referred to as being Narnia'd when it happens in this game too or is that a DAI thing?

It must be the day for weird things on Eos. Was driving in the Nomad to help Cora plant her garden and suddenly Ryder and crew popped out of it. I thought maybe I hit the eject button by mistake but when I turned around the Nomad was completely gone! Had to walk the rest of the way to the garden spot. After the cutscene I planned to find a forward station to recall it but the Nomad was sitting at the base of the cliff like nothing had happened.

Planting Cora's garden (after walking there )
Mountain climbing with Vetra (no cheating). I had to do this twice because the first time I was trying to take a screenshot and missed the interrupt for a kiss!
I don't usually go back to places after the quest there is done, but I decided to go back to the Collective's hideout in Draullir. I half expected it to be abandoned but it was not. It was full of unnamed 'Collective Raider' types and named Lynx as enemies. Afterwards found this in the cells:
I finished both Truth and Trespass (arrested Dr. Aren) and Dissension in the Ranks (No deal! as Miranda would say). The next step is "Meridian."

Only about an hour to play yesterday but it was a productive one in terms of the randomly spawning missions. The weather hazard absence makes it much more inviting to stop at all the Remnant and Kett camps so I did and 3 of the 4 missions spawned all their checkpoints to give me a final destination and one is only one off. Also freed the guy from the Labour Camp and sent the meteor to The Nexus and found the dead resistance guy and his cargo for Soka. Not sure I have noticed The Tempest before driving down from The Angaran base for the first time. Saw a Creeper fighting a Breacher, the Breacher won. A random Kett flying through the sky

Well, I was going to try for 100% completion in this PT but it seems I have a bugged mission and it's too late for me to go back and try to get it to trigger at this point, I guess? When you first reach the Nexus and you have to speak to Tann, Addison, Kandros, etc' Well those all popped up at once,but I think it somehow interfered with Station Sabotage. I thought I heard the guy (Raj I think his name is) say something but that was when those other missions popped up and I didn't see any sort of quest marker pop up for him and I can't interact with him. I've returned to the Nexus a couple of times since, and I guess it's now past the point of it appearing. I'm not talking about the panels being bugged, I can't get the mission to trigger at all. He's standing right there outside the panel near Tann's office but there is no way to interact with him. I know it's a minor thing but not getting the mission makes it impossible to try for 100% completion. Bummer.

And now I seem to have some sort of reloading bug? I died on Voeld and it just gets stuck trying to reload. I went back several autosaves and all of them got stuck. I ended up having to reload from when I landed there and lost a fair amount of progress. I had to reload because I wiped out. Screw this stupid planet. At least the mod is getting rid of the cold. I guess I'll just..uh try not to die on Voeld again? I've never had that happen before.

Especially the various bases you can visit are pretty boring after the first visit that it's difficult to see the point in going back so that doesn't help with this goal either.

That has usually worked for me.

I know it's a minor thing but not getting the mission makes it impossible to try for 100% completion In 22 PT's I have never achieved 100% even using a guide to make sure I didn't miss anything so I just deemed it impossible.
It's not impossible! In fact, you don't have to do everything to get it. In one PT I had yet to fight one of the architects and the game registered 100%. Missing a few side quests shouldn't affect the outcome.

Good to know! At the time it happened, I did notice there was no quest marker for him but I thought it would sort itself out upon return I guess. I never had one for him at all. I heard him speak a word or two, but he got cut off by someone else (maybe SAM) and it bugged out. As far as the autosaves not loading after dying on Voeld, I did try it with mods disabled and it still got stuck. I went back to several earlier autosaves and none of them loaded. And it was like that, I went to an area before I got the other mission for it and maybe that's what wigged it out. It was the spot where you restock the medical cache, but it's also the same area where you eventually meet the turians with the stolen star map. I had the medical cache mission, but hadn't gotten the mission for the star map thief yet. I don't know if that made a difference or not, but dying during combat in that cave/ruin area was what seemed to corrupt my save. I went back to a checkpoint (It said MISSION), from when I returned to Voeld. What I had done before entering that cave was rescue the Angara prisoners after talking to the nephew Skeott or whatever his name is. So I ended up having to redo that part again as none of those saves loaded. It finally loaded back to an earlier checkpoint from when I landed back on Voeld. If that didn't work I was going to do a game repair. I was kind of annoyed at losing some progress but I hope it doesn't happen again. I can't guarantee I won't die during battle there again. In fact, I very probably will.
Maybe saving manually in between missions will help. I'll try that while on Voeld.
