So if a system says 100% it isn't necessarily 100%? Correct, because some things might not be scannable/active yet when you first get there. For example, the cheese wheel in the Khi Tasira system won't show up the first time you enter that system but scanning "everything" will get you to 100%. Then, after finishing the mission (and finding the secret specimen) it will be scannable if you ping again. I have reached 100% completion without finishing what I consider major things, like Movie Night and defeating one of the Architects, so it's kind of a crap shoot whether you get it or not. Interesting.
That escape pod was indeed in the Tafeno system, btw.

Did it kick you to 100%? Not sure I can be bothered going back to an earlier game to find out if it does it for me but would like to know as it may just make be go for 100% in this PT rather than do a rush version.

Unfortunately it didn't. I also flew around to every system and didn't find any more anomalies (I didn't go to every planet though).
Ah well.
I looked at a checklist, not sure if it is accurate. It says the Tech Danny Messer thing is not required (I guess he goes to different places if you tell him one job or the other). Doesn't list the Task:Augmentation Crafting at all.
It better not be the Monkey quest that is holding it up.

The Danny Messier thing was fun the first time, after that not so much. I wouldn't think any DLC stuff would be included, including The Space Monkey and yeah I found the list helpful but still difficult to check-off against and as I said I just gave up in the end.

Well, looky here: It was in fact Danny Messier that was holding it up. Or at least I assume so, I talked to Reyes as well. Don't know if dialogue holds it up.

That's a surprise because I have completed his quests most times and didn't get 100% but that may have been the Biology gone wild quest melbella mentioned but when I haven't completed Danny's quests I still say on 99%. So unless they are worth .5% each!!!!

Imagine, now, having completed 16 100%-PTs and about 5 partials. I've just completely exhausted what the game has to offer. I had two full pages of completed/importable Shepards for ME1. (I think that's 20 per page.) I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty certain that I completed the game around 100 times. I know it was more than 70. That decreases with each sequel, but only because playing those involved replaying an entire trilogy. It wasn't feasible, I suppose, to hope MEA would be as beloved, addictive or whatever. It's a solid game. It just doesn't appeal to me in the same way. I accept how you feel, but I also feel that the number of possible playthroughs would increase IF ME:A were a Trilogy of related games rather than a singular game since different, seemingly minor, decisions now could increase in importance or affect other decisions to a greater degree if more of the story existed. Would it ever have the same appeal as ME1 did for some? Perhaps not, but I personally don't find ME1 particularly variable. Given how Shepard's individual backstories were not carried forward and how little difference being renegade or paragon actually made in ME1, I find I can pretty much run the gambit of truly different importable saves in about 10-12 playthroughs. Absolutely. There's a good foundation laid in MEA. A lot of cool plot threads are in place. Sequels, especially with even a few decision points carried over, would be great. We'd get to see more character growth all around. (There's plenty of that, no doubt, for one game. Three games' worth, though, would give the characters a chance at becoming beloved.) Any grindy moments would be buoyed by a "just get through this, since XYZ lies ahead" mentality.

So unless they are worth .5% each!!!! I can go back and check, but it was stuck on 99% for more than that though. So after the epilogue junk on Hyperion, I will list what I did in spoilers below.
1. Clutch Moment - this is always after the epilogue. 2. Path of a Hero - last interview with Keri is always after the epilogue too. Made "I beat the game" post after these.
3. Frosty Reception (Voeld)
4. Bridge Sabotage (Voeld)
5. The Vanished (Voeld) 6. Salarian escape pod scanned in Tafeno system 7. Task: Pathfinder Armor crafting - probably not required 8. Danny Messier - rescued him in Fauna and Remnant locations, he said he was leaving Eos (since Kett base destroyed he doesn't study Kett). 9. Autosave in Kadara orbit (before going down to see Reyes) has Heleus 100%, so looks like Reyes dialogue didn't matter. Didn't have any Autosaves left before that.
Went to Elaadan, but before I landed to visit Messier, I noticed it was at 100%. I will look at autosaves to see when it tripped.
edit: Will note that it looks like the dialogue with Reyes didn't matter.

Mostly cleared Voeld today, woo hoo for holiday weekends. This is the 2nd time the task Subjugation popped up so I have more remnant data cores than usual at this point, but the stupid Kett setting bombs on the bridge quest never popped. And the only reason to go back now is the Angaraan training with their special forces challenge quest line so I doubt I'll get it. I have no idea how anyone gets 100% completion in this game given how many quests randomly start.

I found my old guns from the save... oh man how did I down any enemy with these is a question. I'm doing Sentinel atm. with Energy Drain, Throw and Singularity. Not sure if I'll use singularity or something else like pull with it. ALso I*m gonna do a Lancer I didnt remember the game was so great looking from the start and epic. edit: Oh also I forgot to mod. I will need to mod it today then if I have time. MP powers and some small ones like last time.

I just can't go past the modded Valkries anymore, I equip two of them and they just melt everything!!!!! Sentinel has become my favourite build, I use Incinerate, Energy Drain and overload. Yeah it is a very pretty game, just finished Havarl which is my favourite but even the desert planets are pretty.

I have only ever gotten 99%, someone previously in this thread though posted some quests I hadn't heard of if you can be bothered going back a few pages. The remnant data core in the Voeld vault with that damn puzzle is always a pain but I have got it the last two times, otherwise subjugation is a must or I never complete the data core quest.

Today I scared Cora and Liam at the Remnant caves didnt remember this either. Before it a Big Krogan scared us and an Asari explorer jumped on me but I threw her to side before Liam could get his itchy trigger finger ready So, we went down and what we found was Liam and Cora were scared about disabled Assemblers We got back up and So much hope, so much amazement, so much exploration... and so much backstabbing feeling from the "government" Oh how I love to be in this universe.

Not always a completionist but finished the game 10 times.

I find that Subjugation, Catch and release, and Gone dark are very easy to farm. If i find a bugged bug I just taken the nomad for a spin for 5-10 seconds and head back the camp/site. It respawns so quick. Voeld is such a great planet, the ambiance, the soundtrack, the sights. All eventually leading to that psycho AI. The Vault is a pain on insanity though.
