I actually did Hornet + beam, and its a super killer too, but runs out of ammo really fast without heavy magazine IX. I think I have to put to Insanity, hardcore enemies are melted really fast so any cautions about that? Changing the difficulty in midst of the game? Changing difficulty is no problem in my experience. Unless you're working on the insanity challenge. So I gave tha AI to the angara. Don't think I've done that before. Interesting to see how that pans out. Voeld architect next. I think if you talk to Evfra he has something to say about it or maybe its an email message. Voeld Architect, hardest fight of any I think.

I'm with correctamundo on this. Without cobras, I generally find the Remnant Tiller to be the tougher fight, although the Voeld architect can has gotten me more than once as well. Some of it is really just RNG. I had one fight with the architect on Elaadan that was just insane for minion spawns as the architect seemed to get stuck on "making babies" over and over and over again. I sucked every health and ammo cache dry long before the fight was over. The only way I got through the last part of it was by running back and forth to the forward station to fill up. I've had similar bouts with the architect on Kadara. I haven't yet had it happen with the Voeld one... and I hope I never do because that would be an impossible fight.

See I never found the Progenitor that hard, not even without using Cobras, don't believe I have used them in my last ten PT's. @upagain I think we have discussed this before but there is a spot up on the left hand side of the tunnel that takes you to The Progenitor that gives you great cover and allows for you to keep the other remnant at bay. With Drack and Cora running interference in the actual chamber as well it really never gives me the same difficulty as the Voeld Architect. A lot of that is mainly due to watching the cold issues and some of the attacks that go through the walls and cover.

I'll look it up next time. When you head down the tunnel to the Progenitor there is cover up on the left sloping side of the tunnel, one of those blocks like on the ground right near the end before you enter its room. It's not perfect but if I am remembering correctly it keeps the Progenitor from firing on you directly and you just need to deal with any other remnant that come at you but Drack and Cora do a pretty good job of keeping them occupied whilst you whittle down the Progenitor. A good weapon helps as well obviously, my auto-fire modded Valkyrie and using Soldier Profile with "Ädrenaline" (the ability that speeds up firing) I think it is, takes it down in one or two magazines. I'll see if I can find a screenshot. Here you go:

I am aware of that spot, but I really try not to use it anymore since it takes the challenge out of the fight (much like cheesing the door on Horizon in ME2 takes the challenge out of fighting the husks and two scions fight there). What I tend to do now, provided I have tactical cloak, is put one squadmate at each end of the room as quickly as possible which causes the progenitor to alternate attacking each one and I move between them, reviving them as I go and getting in as many shots as I can with each pass I make. It's a very challenging fight that way, but doable even on insanity. On my current run, I'm planning the same sort of thing using the biotic aegis to deflect fire back on the progenitor as I revive each squadmate in turn. Of course, I know I can always retreat to that spot if I really get into trouble.

Mmmm not sure I'd say its cheesing it, the game is a cover based shooter so using the cover is not really cheesing it. Using Soldier Profile, the Pathfinder Armour and tactical Cloak, Turbo Boost and my modded Valkyrie (Autofire, 3 KC's on the weapon and 3 on The Asaria Sword) even on Insanity I can take it down without using cover at all with two magazines. Playing a game on Insanity say as a Sentinel and with a normal weapon you need to use cover so again I don't see that as cheesing it it's just effective use of cover.

Playing a game on Insanity say as a Sentinel and with a normal weapon you need to use cover so again I don't see that as cheesing it it's just effective use of cover. You're misunderstanding what I said, so I'll try to explain... I didn't say using the spot was cheesing. Rather, I said that the door exploit on Horizon was "cheesing" the door. I'm saying that because, in ME2, to snipe the scions from behind the line of the door you have to prevent your squad from entering the area beyond the door by locking them in place before opening the door. They don't have to be in cover as long as they are told to "stay" in palce. Then, the exploit totally prevents the husks in the area from spawning, allowing you the luxury of being able to just snipe at the two scions indefinitely until you whittle away their health (although you do have to have enough ammo in your SR to get the job done).
I agree that using the "spot" in ME:A is not exploiting anything. It is using available cover, but it still takes the challenge away from the fight. So, I'm avoiding using it in order to keep the fight challenging because I enjoy the challenge. It wasn't so long ago though that I could not possibly have done that fight without using the "spot" and for a long time, I also could not possibly have gotten by the scion fight on Insanity without "cheesing" the door. My gaming progress is, probably, a lot slower than most people here, but I'm kind of proud of it.

If you guys, girls, lady- and gentle- bugs (or other species) don't mind: Please allow me a bit of shameless self-advertisement in here I've been visiting Eos with my first Ryder again again this last couple of days (nights, whatever). Crafting weapon mods to freeze Kett with my new Lancer. Or using the Falcon with incendiary weapon mod to burn them. I had surprisingly much fun doing that. Though Cora's shotgun is definitely better with cryo ammo than with disruptor ammo mod. I loaded up my second Ryder for some nice ad picks of her Sovoa firing into Havarl's plant and bug -live, when I found out that I screwed up the research project and couldn't actually research the Sovoa 10. Luckily that was still before I had uploaded the mod to Nexus, so i fixed that before the mod went live. Anyway, I just wanted to say that the new, improved, and fully save game compatible Groundside Firepower Pack is now available from the Nexus. Yeah, I couldn't figure out a better name...

When I get an opportunity hopefully in the next week I will check it out in-game.

The base stats for the MP weapons are the same as with the previous rebalanced version of the MP weapons mod.
That means that especially the Sovoa does much less damage than in the not rebalanced version (from ridiculous 400 points at rank 1 to now 150 points).

I'm a bit at a loss now. Could someone please tell me how to make screenshots in MEA (PC version)? I can't find any clue and the ingame options apparently don't allow remapping the feature so it does not show on the list.

Which is only available when running on a NVIDIA GPU, as far as i am aware. Other than that, there is still the console command ' screenshot.render', so there is actually another way implemented, just not bound to any key. (Open the console with the - it think its the tilde ~ on english keyboard layouts - button above tab). Using the console command though still prints said console with command in the screenshot. What also works is the Windows 'Snipping Tool'. Maybe you have to run the game in windowed mode for that to work correctly w.r.t. window control focus of the two applications.
Other than those you'd probably have to use a third party program or something.

Don't knock the little winds. They're important - for morale.

I'm a bit at a loss now. Could someone please tell me how to make screenshots in MEA (PC version)? I can't find any clue and the ingame options apparently don't allow remapping the feature so it does not show on the list. I guess no would be my answer. I use Bandicam.

For Nvidia GPUs, doesn't Alt+F1 also work as the general screenshot method for every game? Ansel works only if supported. Only if this 'nvidia experience' or what it is called extra program is installed. Ansel seems to be build into the game and works quite nicely - at least when free roaming. However I don't think Ansel works on cutscenes (doh), so it's better to have GeForce Experience as an alternative.

dazk poked me about this gun chatter. I've been busy with real life, but I miss talking to you guys and gals. If there's still interest in gun talk, I can likely get roped into it. 😉 Valkyrie and/or Hornet with Full-Auto are game breaking good. Beam Emitter eliminates recoil entirely, as does a high end stability mod. The Hesh with full auto is the best gun in the game. It has bonuses vs both Armor and shields, and has crazy baseline damage and RoF. Seeking Plasma eliminates the accuracy and range limitations. Dhan can be twisted into all sorts of weird, game-breaking forms. The one that entertained me the most was probably adding Burst Fire and Beam Emitter. It becomes an entirely different weapon. There are lots of other broken combos. They really are broken, though. Once the initial fun wears off, it becomes pretty meh. The crafting system just never got balanced when the plug got pulled. I have a hard time resisting the urge to craft because it's fun. The I get bored because an easy game becomes stupidly easy. I'm difficult to please, it would seem. 😆

So stopped playing Greedfall to run amok in MEA yesterday. In this PT have finished Havarl and decided to head to EOS to pick Up Cora's quest to find the Periphona on Voeld before heading there but decided to complete stuff on EOS as well. It was weird the game on Havarl didn't seem to be making the combat "Hardcore" but it certainly kicked in on EOS, even some of the random Kett camps were pretty full on and I had a fun time doing the Kett command centre etc. Died once for a random environmental issue where the game assumed EOS was still toxic and Ryder just keeled over in a matter of seconds and I was like WTF just happened!!!!! Had fun talking with Bain Massani and got a couple of pieces of chat between Cora and Liam that I have either forgotten or not had before. Playing as a Sentinel and Cora and I are just exploding stuff everywhere!!!!! My parking hasn't improved: Rescued Danny once but next time he glitched and I couldn't interact with him: BBQ'd Invictor anyone? Enjoying the view:

So more Eos yesterday and managed to knock everything over. Found Drones, planted beacons for Eric Sr and junior, dropped off the pendant for Dash McCoy, investigated the stolen supplies and sent the naughty people to Prodromos. Finished the random quest hat sends you to a vault and you get data on EOS for Prodromos, rescued the idiots trying to tame the remnant, found the dead Ghost of promise, rescued Danny Messier twice, look forward to seeing him on Elaaden even though he says he's going to Kadara. Told Advent to stick it and tapped some water, killed the architect, found the missing shuttle, saw a guns show between Liam and Jaal and headed back to The Nexus to reassign Grace Lito, check in with hey big Spender and deal with the protesters. Don't remember encountering a fiend in the Data Retrieval quest on Eos before: All Architects must die!!!! Poor Old Danny Got a couple of lines yesterday from Liam I don't remember or haven't heard, one in The Nomad and one on The tempest Think Cora's already falling for Scott, she totally ignored combat and just stood staring at him!!!!
