Isn't that in Samara's recruitment mission? An Asari Eclipse mercenary that you catch dozing off and tells you she doesn't have anything to do with the mercenary group, how she's a new down and about recruit and you can either let her walk or kill her. In one of the next rooms you find a recording where she brags about killing people. I’ve never killed her either. At the time there is no reason to, and as I said I’m not a fan of murder. I know this will come off a little hypocritical, coming from someone that is former military, but neither am I. Sometimes, though, a bad solution to a problem may present the best outcome. It is a flawed way of thinking for a flawed world, but it's through our flaws that we become better. Collectively or singularly. In the meantime, that's just pixels on your monitor and you are free to act however you wish, without guilt.

Quick question from the sidelines: Would anyone be interested in beta testing a mod intended to ease buying and selling large quantities of stackable stuff (e.g., minerals)? The mod should work regardless of screen size or resolution (as far as I tested). But there were some oddities when building this, like (at least) one of the fonts apparently not containing numbers. I just want to make sure that was an oddity of the game font, and not somehow system dependent or something. Anyway, the mod can be found in my dropbox. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never shot Kalinda. Not a fan of murdering people, which is exactly what that option is. But hang on she tries to kill you numerous times, I'd hardly call it murder more like eliminating a threat.

But hang on she tries to kill you numerous times, I'd hardly call it murder more like eliminating a threat. At the moment she is both unarmed and begging fo help. That makes her not a threat and thus shooting her murder. The fact is that prior to this she has tried to kill Ryder on at least 3 occasions. What is to stop her doing it again after you save her, she's clearly not trustworthy or a very nice person, why wouldn't you eliminate someone who is hell bent on killing you? There are a couple of situations in MEA where the dev's made the player make an absolute decision one way or the other and this is one of them, I would liked to have just been able to leave her rather than shoot her but that's not a choice you get to make. So perhaps shooting her is a mercy killing rather than let her fall to death into a lake of Lava. It's like the Reyes/Sloane decision not a fan of the assassination but the game requires you to make that call if you want to support Reyes.

I always shoot her, even the first time when I didn't have the evidence till afterwards as she just comes across as a liar. If you pay attention to what you are told about them, you know she wouldn't be wearing a uniform if she hadn't killed someone already. So for her to say she never did anything is a lie. Also note, Shepard doesn't shoot first, just says she doesn't believe her if you pick the renegade option. The asari shoots first.

She definitely reaches for her shotgun first, but I don't recall hearing a shot go off before Shepard's quick reflexes take her out. However, her movement shows enough intend that I don't consider it murder.
As for Kalinda, I do consider shooting her murder. If Ryder is romancing PeeBee, sometimes he shoots Kalinda to get rid of the competition (yes, this Ryder to not really a nice guy). If Ryder is extremely focused on getting the remnant tech, then he will shoot Kalinda to prevent PeeBee from abandoning it.... again, this Ryder is not really a nice guy. My nice guy Ryders don't shoot her.

Ah yes, kill the stowaway's girlfriend. Would that have happened if Ryder scanned the robot for foreign objects before bringing it on the ship?

Another of those minor attention to detail failures, I always try and scan it on Elaaden and it never shows anything or if it does it certainly doesn't mention anything and SAM the super sleuth should pick that up. Same as when doing the Salarian sabotage mission, surely SAM should be at least able to detect the cloak the fake Salen is wearing!!!!!

I find it unlikely that SAM could not detect the bug or that someone was using a cloak near him and there are multiple other inconsistencies with SAM not detecting stuff. The thing that is really annoying is he can detect where a grain of sand comes from on a plant leaf on The Nexus but cannot even scan a person using a cloaking device right in front of him, he can scan through the Scourge using his multi-neural occlusion (whatever that means) but can't scan through a cloaking device on a Salarian right in front of him. He can detect a scrambler because of how it creates a blind spot for him surely a cloak would create something similar or at least an energy emission. He can scan a salarian and tell who they were from their DNA, so Salen's cloak must be able to also fudge his DNA profile. I honestly don't care about the above but the fact that you cannot scan every individual in the game also bugs me. Why can't I scan Reyes to see if he killed Jien Garson, I cannot believe that not one molecule of DNA was left in the room she was murdered or some other clue like a grain of sand or to see his DNA profile in the Nexus Databases to see if that is who he really is. Anyway it doesn't stop me loving the game I just find it incongruous.

Looking forward to going again on it once I've finished the rtilogy just finished Grunt's loyalty mission on ME2. Only got a couple of loyalty missions left to do and then I'm off after the IFF and the finale of ME2.. But even after I've finished that I've still got ME3 to do.

I guess since it's N7 Day, I am obligated to log in all ME games today (yes, I don't delete them) and give a gun salute.
Since when does Shepard need proof in order to unload his gun into someone? Spectre/Former Spectre privileges.

Earlier I did the Archon ship mission, went inside with Cora and Vetra Sol saved Pathfinder Raeka in favor of the Krogan scouts (Drack wasn't amused)
Tann is...well, let's just say Nexus leadership is acting a lot like the Council toward Shepard
the good news is...Scotty is finally awake! Sol got a hug in and we unlocked the final memories of Alec...Liara's message made me cry
at any rate...still got some questing left to do, but the ending is coming closer

So not sure where I left off but have in bits and pieces over the past 4 days, left Khi Tasira and cleared up lots of bits and pieces including going to Aya and chatting with everyone there about Khi Tasira's surprises and talking to the old folks. Went to Kadara and picked up last of The Legion and did some rock climbing with Vetra. Ran around The Nexus and spoke to Kerri, listened to the scientists talk about Khi Tasiras secrets and picked up the booze for Lexi. Had some private time with Cora and ran around scanning lots of planets and scanning Scourge points. Next off to Meridian. A compliment from Lexi Private time with Cora and No SAM Funny comment from Vetra

Based on a whim more than anything else, I took my female engineer Ryder to Kadara. She was one of the lower scoring runs … several of the side quests would not spawn on her run … I had a couple like that … frustrating. Some time ago, I'd installed the bug fix mod … but hadn't done much with it.
Tooling along Kadara, I had the Cold Hard Cache side mission trigger. Was able to get the three scans in pretty short order, then after reading/scanning a data pad, got to the final site and completed the mission. My Ryder gained a level and is not that far from another level up … a few more formerly bugged side missions and she would be on par with the majority of my runs.

The MEA Fix Patch is great but not sure it helps with those damned random quests on any of the planets if that's what you are saying. Seems so hit and miss for me and is often only solved by fast travel or leaving the planet.

picked up the booze for Lexi. It’d be nice to eventually have a personal quest regarding the ship’s doctor that doesn’t involve alcohol.
