picked up the booze for Lexi. It’d be nice to eventually have a personal quest regarding the ship’s doctor that doesn’t involve alcohol. It's puerly medicinal

Based on a whim more than anything else, I took my female engineer Ryder to Kadara. She was one of the lower scoring runs … several of the side quests would not spawn on her run … I had a couple like that … frustrating. Some time ago, I'd installed the bug fix mod … but hadn't done much with it. Tooling along Kadara, I had the Cold Hard Cache side mission trigger. Was able to get the three scans in pretty short order, then after reading/scanning a data pad, got to the final site and completed the mission. My Ryder gained a level and is not that far from another level up … a few more formerly bugged side missions and she would be on par with the majority of my runs. The MEA Fix Patch is great but not sure it helps with those damned random quests on any of the planets if that's what you are saying. Seems so hit and miss for me and is often only solved by fast travel or leaving the planet. I've honestly never had a problem with getting those. I make sure to stop at all those little sites and thoroughly cleared them the first time I'm in the area. I'll make a second thorough pass of the planet again after reactivating the vault. I usually have all the final objectives marked on the map by the time I finish that second sweep of the planet. (I"m on the Xbox One though, which I think had fewer bugs than the PC and PS4 overall right from launch.)

Not necessarily as even in the rtilogy when we use tactica lcloak the Geth don't see us. so I'm guessing tha this sensory inputs aren't any moer advanced than the Geths or ours. I find it unlikely that SAM could not detect the bug or that someone was using a cloak near him and there are multiple other inconsistencies with SAM not detecting stuff. The thing that is really annoying is he can detect where a grain of sand comes from on a plant leaf on The Nexus but cannot even scan a person using a cloaking device right in front of him, he can scan through the Scourge using his multi-neural occlusion (whatever that means) but can't scan through a cloaking device on a Salarian right in front of him. He can detect a scrambler because of how it creates a blind spot for him surely a cloak would create something similar or at least an energy emission. He can scan a salarian and tell who they were from their DNA, so Salen's cloak must be able to also fudge his DNA profile. I honestly don't care about the above but the fact that you cannot scan every individual in the game also bugs me. Why can't I scan Reyes to see if he killed Jien Garson, I cannot believe that not one molecule of DNA was left in the room she was murdered or some other clue like a grain of sand or to see his DNA profile in the Nexus Databases to see if that is who he really is. Anyway it doesn't stop me loving the game I just find it incongruous. Bioware has always tended towards being inconsistent with those sorts of details, but the other side of the coin in that some people were complaining about "having to" scan too much and Ryder being too reliant on SAM for information. While I can see the logic in being able to scan people to search for Jien Garson's murderur, it would have become extremely tedious from a gameplay perspective. I just head canon that he's doing that quietly (for once) in the background... and only mentions something if he finds it. As far as PeeBee's quest goes, I think they should have changed that line of dialogue from Kalinda and dreamed up some other method for her knowing the location instead of a tracking POC.

You are vey lucky then, just to see how long it took, I once spent >3hrs driving around in the Nomad on EOS going to every Kett site I could find to get the last piece/scan in one of those random quests without success. Evac'd to the Tempest and then came back and the first site I hit I got the last scan!!!!!

So in celebration of N7 day, popped in and played a little Andromeda last night. Decided to do the Moshae Seffa rescue mission. Good mission, as usual. It is curious as much as I do appreciate them creating a seperate auto save for all the loyalty and story missions...I did realize the timing could've been better. It pops you in when you first start the mission, none of the pre mission cutscenes or squad selection. Which is...something to look forward to in DA 4. I also had a lot of trouble getting out of the mindset I have gotten into for Breakpoint, getting used to the controls again and just getting used to the mindset. 'ok Foley...the swap weapons button is Square...not triangle...ok Foley you have actual powers in this game...ok Foley that's how you swap shoulders...oh so you CAN holster your weapons in this game.' Didn't have that much trouble with it other than that, it was really nice playing Andromeda again and I was super annoyed though I got through the first bit of the boss fight with the Cardinal...only to be raped by an Annointed that was hiding...soI had to do the WHOLE THING AGAIN...which probably contributed to my Breakpoint issues...but this is the wrong thread for that.

Hmm. Now that it was mentioned, does any fellow PC player have a clue why MEA has auto and manual saves, but no quicksaving? In the far, far away past of my gaming life, it took me ages to get used to quicksaving (always dropped manual saves galore), but DAO helped with that. Could it be an engine thingy? Both DAI and MEA are Frostbug Frostbite, but why did MEA drop that feature? I got that some things that appear odd from a PC player's perspective are due to console adaption issues, like the ugly save game limit of DAI. I usually hit that in no time.

I don't think its an engine thing but I am not overly tech savvy. It's at least not too difficult to do a manual save in MEA but "F5" would be much easier. I do think there is a save limit in MEA but I can't remember what it is, maybe 200?

That's really the only reason I can think of. There is no quick save and many, many sections during missions where no save at all is allowed, even outside of combat. This is just stupid. When people complained about lack of quick save, the "fix" we got was to make the game autosave 500 times when it's completely unnecessary, yet not once after a tough battle or major development in the story.
Every time I load up the game, I check the last dozen or so save slots, and usually 10 of them are autosaves every minute or so of me doing nothing but driving around.

So yesterday finished this PT of MEA except for the final quest back to Habitat 7. I really enjoyed this Scott Sentinel PT much more than my others and am going to do another PT but as Sara this time and I am going to do a Soldier Profile PT on Insanity. Well that's the plan will see how it goes. Was going to look for something else to play but I am going away for at least a week mid-next week so didn't want to start something new. Had fun doing the final battles yesterday and used a MOD that lets you upgrade the DLC weapons to Level 10 as they were mostly only L5 or L2. I crafted the Pathfinder Pioneer Assault Rifle because I remembered liking it previously but unfortunately it only gets 3 Augmentation slots so it was seriously Gimped compared to my Valkyrie so abandoned using it pretty quickly. I really love the final battles for Meridian and the music and cinematics are great. Still frustrates me re The Quarian stuff at the end and how excited I was for it be a clue to DLC. Pic's Movie Night Return to Khi Tisara Sister Sara Meridian Found Lots of Helpers Taking down a destroyer Final Architect Down A kiss for the hero Speech time

Mmmmmm something went wrong in MEA, I never got the mission to go back to Habitat 7 but whoever says it said the thing about now that we have 100% viability we need to return to Habitat 7!!! Am I forgetting to do something?

So yesterday finished this PT of MEA except for the final quest back to Movie Night Ok, great. You made me watch the scene on YT to check something and now I think I need to switch language once/if I get a new PC (had to annoy a friend; the newest machine that I own is a 2011 laptop). I have been playing the German localisation (as it is what my friend choose), but since the default VA's mostly have rather good "UK" accents (especially Townsend and Dormer)... but this still leaves the Ryders, hmm. Sorry, but I'm not too fond of typical american accents, I prefer them old-worlders. Anyway, there's that music playing during the turian action scenes. If anyone can remember which other EA-published game it was taken from, they will get a like. Hints: Temple of Boom, "Ichor", Mammoth Massacre

I did it!!
I've just finished Andromeda for the first time and well, it was amazing granted, the Archon fight was a bit...anticlimactic, but other then that...it was amazing
some screenshots
baby Scott (who's a damn hero btw.) Reyes and his damned winks and the movie night that came before (I changed my Ryder's hairstyle after Kadara, I like this one as well)
I had a pretty good ending, Captain Dunn survived...so that's good...Dunn is one of my favorite npc's, and I'm glad she survived
so...yeah, got this finished...it was a damned good ride
Edit:
hm...now I gotta think on what to play next... seeing as I'm still in a Mass Effect mood, I think I'll pick up the trilogy and do my canon run of my Shepard Luna

Just picked up Garrus on Menae so got a fair bit togo as I only started ME3 last night. Onlyhad time to do the Earth bit with Anderson last night though so didn't make much progress. But yeah I'm in a bi tof a ME mood atm although I plan to come away to have a look a tthe new Jedi game and do a second run of Shadow of the TR as I want to play again with all the DLC's. But I suspect once I've done that I may be back for another run of the ME games as I do have a second Shep and Ryder in mind I want to play.

Yesterday just roamed around chatting to people post ending, I don't normally do that and got some good dialogue. Tried to start a new MEA PT yesterday and after an hour and 3 creations yesterday stopped, just could not create a Sara I was happy with. Will try again today but may resort to a previous Sara instead, I just hate how they look so good in the CC but then look terrible in game!!!!!. Fingers crossed.

So yesterday finally created a Sara I was mostly happy with, not my best work but was impatient to start!!! Finished Habitat 7, headed to The Nexus and talked to the leadership group, picked up the murder quest and then took charge of The Tempest. Did lots of talking to crew and exploring of the ship then headed off and explored some systems. Going to head back to The Nexus and pick up my space Monkey and do the available quests there next before going to Eos. Not sure why but for some reason the NG+ reset all my damn settings, took me ages to fix them. Pic's Sara - went with a base idea of default Sara and made changes. I love the start to the game

Also Ryder kind o ffeels like a young Captain Janeway. Wheras I'd probabl ycompae Shepard mostlly with Sisko in the case of Star Trek

ETA: Watched a couple of clips... I am apparently mis-recalling Sisko.

Yeah I think with Sisko that as soon as he had his first encounter with the Dominion for me it seemed he knwe it was likely the Federation was heading for a possible war that's why he was given the Defiant ship they had so tha the could keep an eye on them covertly without raising suspicion just in case and were given special dispensation from the Romulans to equip it with a cloaking device to make the job easier or at leas tthat was the aim I think. Same with Shep. Shep knew as soon as Sovereign hung up on them when they talked on Virmire they to knew the galaxy was likely going to war even if they were successful in beating Sovereign on that day. That's what I meant in that they we re both in situations wher ethey knwe ther was a high probability that war was about to break out and both knew they couldn't afford to fail in their missions.

So after being away for a few weeks finally got back to playing MEA a couple of days ago but my internet provider has been having an issue with our cable and our internet has reverted to the mobile service and it is like using Dial Up again!!!!! So not much posting. Anyway in the last two days started and finished Havarl and am now back to EOS to meet the Asari refugees and to clear the quests there. I am playing on Insanity but seriously, Havarl was a doddle whereas it is normally quite hard so I think the game is having a problem with the difficulty setting. Anyway not complaining at this stage. Pic's This damn Observer took for ages to kill as it wasn't taking damage as it was half in and half out of the ceiling!!!! Ryder tells Suvi she likes her. Well she is kinda adorable. Both Suv iand Jaals'romances work well for Sara. Plan to do Jaal's next time I play Sara. Bus yplayimn gas Scvott in my current run. Just did Dracks loyalty missoin and now I' mchasing the remnant drive core down on Elaaden.

Do you mean the drive core at the hidden Vault in the south part of the map or the Architect one?
