*snip I noticed all the other companions hate Liam. I think he only gets along with Jaal and that's it. It's been a long while since I heard those, but after his fight with Vetra the two form a truce and I believe are even on friendly terms after that. (I heard that line only once)
After Drack's line about having seen to many like Liam die, he also eventually acknowledges Liam as not 'just dead meat'. (Heard this twice, both times on Elaaden)
I'm not sure about Pebee and Cora, though I also can't remember any sort of mean spirit between the later and Liam.  PeeBee fought with him outright and he rejected her omg |

Yesterday I was running around trying to do loyalty stuff before meridian, and kept getting sidetracked. Killed an architect on Eladeen, did a bunch of tasks, and so on. The only loyalty missions I have done are Cora and Drack. Drack I take EVERYWHERE and I've been using Jaal, Cora, and Peebee. Liam got benched after the intro, Vetra only got off the bench to replace Liam and was replaced by Drack. I want to change their guns so much. Peebee I use because I was going for her LM and meandering aimlessly. I noticed all the other companions hate Liam. I think he only gets along with Jaal and that's it. Liam is kind of a tool tbh. I mean, Drack is pretty brutal tool, but he is honest and pragmatic tool. Not a trace of entitlement or wishy-washy delusions. Drack knows exactly what he is, and never pretends to be anything else. Liam is kind of an ideologue. He means for the best, but can't really understand how people see things differently than him. When you have Liam and Drack together, Liam tries to lecture Drack and I want to slap him.

Liam is a trust fund kid who lives in a wealthy suburb but isn't even in a cultural epicenter like SF or LA or NY - he's like a rich kid in an obscure Midwestern state so he's just annoying and irrelevant. |

I'm such a hopeless completionist....I finished all the Additional Tasks, including finding all the unearthed Remnant tech on Havarl 0_0 and talking to the three Angarans on Aya about the arrival of kett. Yeah, there's literally no more quests under Additional Tasks. I'm that much of a completionist. You aren't alone, after on my 15th PT I still had to do all the additional tasks.

PeeBee is just flippant but again if you pair her for a while with someone there is more understanding by both parties. Romancing Liam I think also helps understand him better as Sara anyway, I haven't romanced him as Scott. Drack and PeeBee are the best pairing in my opinion, just downright hysterical at times!!!!!

I could somehow feel the "what have I done" mentality in many colonists, when they were pondering why did we come after all and the sadness leaving behind so much..

Peebee I use because I was going for her LM and meandering aimlessly. First play through I used drak fairly frequently. After the Salarian arc I stopped don’t really use him at all anymore. Bleep his bleep ass scouts. I change it up a lot now as I don’t really like anyone. About my only constant is I take PeeBee into the vaults. |

Finished a console playthrough, hardcore.
Classic engineer build (EMP, turret, incinerate, later changed out turret for remnant) black widow, falcon w/ automatic fire augmentation. I really like the automatic fire falcon. Staggers people like crazy.
Thinking about going NG+ and trying a new build.

This. This here and other chats/writing around the colonies etc. are much more humanistic/humane than in any other ME game. I think thats why it appealed me so much more. I could somehow feel the "what have I done" mentality in many colonists, when they were pondering why did we come after all and the sadness leaving behind so much..  We must hang out with totally different types of people as I found everything more off than any other mass effect. From companions to randos you over hear. Well if your people answer with oneliners and infopackages  been just playing ME2

Having played through all this on PC and now on console, they feel really similar.
Only difference is PC I played at launch and console was on sale for $9.

Started my NG+ yesterday and turned the difficulty down to normal so I could screw around. Shotgun build. Made a burst fire Ruzzad. It was TERRIBLE. I was hoping for a quasi-claymore BANGBANGBANG but instead it's bang-wait-bang-wait-bang. It's awkward and garbo. Made a fully auto Katana shotgun and it's not much better.
What's a shotgun that doesn't suck in SP?
Also, I have a shield / flamethrower build and its fun as hell without being as cheesy as biotic charge. I have shield drain as the third ability, but it's meh. Any suggestions?

Second vote for the Dhan. I crafted it with VHS so I didn't have to scrounge for ammo every 5 seconds.
Charge. Dhan. Krogan hammer. Repeat. 
Some will say the Hesh is as good or better but it's ungodly loud. I couldn't use it for very long before the noise became too annoying.

The Hesh is indeed better but it is as you state insanely loud.  My family complained so much I had to stop using it!!!!!! Yep. The balance of some weapons like Hesh and Scattershot (at least in MP) are quite heavy on ears. I've had to do some balancing with mixing the sounds, like in every BioWare game I like the music to be more up in volume than effects usually, but Scattershot comes through still argh
