I should really start using Notepad to record what I did in the game before posting here (like I do with my Mass Effect Trilogy playthroughs). I kind of forget what I did today. Anyway, Tatiana Ryder did a few more things on Voeld (finished some of those RNG quests, but started another; ugh), then rescued the Moshae. Did a few things on Aya, visited Aya's vault, and now have access to Kadara. Not sure if I will head to Kadara next, or go back to Eos and Voeld and finish up what I can there. Also need to set up the scientists on Havarl and do a few things there as well. I take screenshots to help me remember.

I play such long sessions that my recaps turn into, "I completed this planet 100%".
I had big plans for today, and I was making progress before my mom called. I don't often feel well enough to talk on the phone, so I make an extra effort when I can. Two-and-a-half hours later, I was spent. I still needed to cook and clean, the latter of which is brutal for me, and not something I can do very often. Today was rough. Still, I did squeeze in some Andromeda early in the day. My pup wakes me up at 6:30am everyday, so early starts are the norm. 🙂
Scott explored Eos, activated the vault, and established Prodromos. He visited the Nexus to handle AVP responsibilities. (I wish we could manage more stuff from our ship. So many face-to-face interactions could be handled with a simple call or email.) He made a brief return to Eos to meet Darket Tiervian and Grace Lito in person, and rescued Axl Jennings' crew from Remnant. With all the dead bodies his little project left, I think Jennings probably belongs in a cell.
Scott then led the team to Onoan System, narrowly escaped the Kett, and made first contact with the Angara. I'll admit to skipping lots of dialogue on Aya. I wasn't in the mood experience it again so soon. It's one of my least favorite parts of the game. I was about to land on Havarl when I received the aforementioned call, so I saved in orbit.
So far, I've exclusively played Vanguard throughout Eos. (I nearly always use a Soldier build on Habitat 7, since guns and summons are more reliable there with starter gear.) I'd sort of forgotten just how insane the Vanguard that I play really is. I remembered, yet it was still surprising.
I usually prime a target with Energy Drain and the Charge. Then, it's either a few blasts from my autofire Hesh, or a swipe from my Sword, and the enemy is toast. Particularly strong enemies mighy get the Hesh and the sword, which is great since I have Shotguns 6b- melee synergy.
I love Vanguarding Observers. Energy Drain and the Tech Explosion are particularly rough on them. For Charge, I choose 4b-Radius. It's debatably the wrong choice, since I lose out on +30% damage. The radius is good for bunched enemies, though, and Observers often begin bunched. The tech detonation often affects several of them. When it strips their shields, Annihilation immediately starts forcing them downward. I can prime, Charge, shoot while hovering, and return to the ground with an aerial melee smash (enhanced by electrical conduits in my leg armor). Two or three Observers can be toasted within two seconds of appearing.
I'll see how long I enjoy this style. I'm going to at least use it through the return to Eos, the Architect, etc... The gameplay loop can be very predictable and repetitive, but I'm sure there's more variation than I'm remembering. I enjoy how melee is a big a part of the playstyle, and using my Hesh again has been awesome. It feels good to unleash the DPS King, and the rapid, thunderclap sound didn't bother me at all, so far.
I did try using the Vakarsh, briefly. It looks cool and is probably great, but my melee style is built around the Asari Sword. Once I decided to Vanguard, there was no way I was sacrificing the increased range, the teleport, and the invincibility frames to learn a different (lesser?) weapon. The Vakarsh is still in my weapons locker, for now, but I just don't know if I'll get around to it with this character. Maybe I'll try it on a fresh New Game, when Milky Way points can be spread too thinly for a time.

Well, lying in bed, getting drowsy, I pulled up Andromeda's skills page on the ME Wiki. I already plan to respec again, if I decide to continue playing Vanguard. It's mildly tedious, but not too bad.
There were a few compromises that I'd made in the interest of Biotic versatility, particularly Offensive Biotics 5b-Detonation. That's great when you're using combos at range. It's the only biotic skill evolution that universally buffs detonations. However, since I'm using weapons in combination with Annihilation, 5a-Exploitation is optimal. It's a 20% defensive debuff to any enemy experiencing an ongoing effect of your Biotics. That means everyone within the huge radius of Annihilation gets a big debuff. It's way more valuable for a Vanguard that uses weapons at least as much as biotics.
Of course, I could play a Vanguard who Charges, primes with Nova, and detonates with Lance. Hmm. 🤔
Now, having typed that, I'm nice and sleepy! Later, friends. 🥱😴

Tatiana Ryder: 1. Landed on Eos and started/accepted a bunch of quests. Left the planet; will deal with them later.
2. Went to Voeld. Found some logs from an Angaran family that were attacked by the Kett. Realized I had loaded the wrong save.
I had loaded the last autosave instead of the last manual save. This meant I was wearing the wrong armor. I was wearing the default Deep Space Explorer Armor which provides more XP but no mod slot (so no Fusion Mod of Adrenaline). And I had no mix-and-match armor because I had deconstructed it after the manual save to see if I could get enough resources to craft a better version (I couldn't/didn't).
So back to the Tempest.
3. Back to the Nexus to buy some amor legs and make the chest piece I wanted. Talked to Lexi in the bar. Woke someone out of cryo by request from someone on Eos.
4. Hopped back in the Tempest and equipped the armor. Less XP, but now with Fusion Mod of Adrenaline + shield restore on enemy kill + some tiny damage protection.
5. Back to Voeld. - Helped Cora track down a signal that could lead to the Asari Ark. - Helped some Angaran Resistance fighters against the Kett. - Angaran test: Battled three Eirochs at once (easy but tedious). - Angaran test: Took out the Remnant but missed the time challenge by seconds. Reloaded and beat the time by about a minute. - Angaran test: recovered data. - Scanned enough dead Angarans and tracked down the location of the originating Kett base. Killed the Kett, rescued an Angaran. - Scanned enough Resistance bugs to track down the signal location. Found a dead Angaran with a datapad. Gave the datapad to the resistance. - Found an Angaran who survived an explosion. She was torturing a Kett. Killed the Kett and told her to go back to the Resistance. - Established an outpost. (Still need to activate the monoliths and vault.) Accepted the quest that activates the Architect on Voeld. Will do it later. Placed a receiver. - Got directions to a Kett science facility. Went to the facility, killed the Kett and collected some Kett samples. Found the location of a Kett communications station. Raided the station and recovered some logs. - Found Gloryseekers, and then helped a doubter take down a Kett station

I had a good laugh at myself, thinking about my drowsy post last night. The Vanguard loadout is already too powerful. I definitely don't need to respec to make it more powerful. There's theoretical optimization, and there's practical. I'll stick with the practical. 😆
Scott completed Havarl, today, beginning to end. I like Havarl. It has some good quests, despite being so small, and even has two Remnant "Vaults", which I enjoy.
I do have one gripe about Havarl. We are told that the Angara consider it their homeworld. Yet, the Angara require sunlight to thrive, and Havarl is in perpetual twilight for cosmological reasons that have nothing to do with Remnant. We already know, as players, that they aren't native to any single world, but were created to inhabit the cluster. Still, I think the Angaran scientists are smart enough to realize that they couldn't have originated on Havarl. The writers make lots of egregious errors with basic science in this game.
Another thing that always bugs me is when Hayes gets onto the same shuttle as Scott/Sara and Liam, in the intro. Then, she's nowhere to be seen, since we actually share the shuttle with Fisher, Kirkland, and Greer. Sure enough, Hayes was on Shuttle 1 with Cora and the Pathfinder. I guess no one ever caught it. It annoys me. 😄
Anyway, back on topic... After Havarl, Scott stopped back at the Nexus. He played poker with Gil, ran into the atrocious "Sleeping Dragons" protester scene (ugh), bought more augments he definitely didn't really need, and headed for Eos. I saved upon arriving, since I had a lot of real life stuff to handle this evening.
The Vanguard loadout is honestly too strong. It's fun, but it wipes encounters even faster than the other broken builds. Being able to zip from target to target, applying instant crowd control and AoE damage, all while doling out incredible single-target damage, is nuts. It might be too good to hold my attention.
Before I abandon Vanguard, though, I'm going to try a purely Biotic Vanguard. Dropping Energy Drain means I won't have infinite healing via Team Support 6b (Life Support). That may add some danger, now and then. In place of Energy Drain, I'm thinking of using Lance. So, my build will be Vanguard (Charge/Annihilation/Lance). It might be just as crazy as the other loadout, but I want to at least try it.
I just acquired the AVP perk that adds the extra augment slot to gear, and I built a new Dhan. Since I'm not using Team Support (Life Support) for infinite healing, this Dhan doesn't use a bioconverter. It's purpose isn't to be a primary weapon, anyway. That's Lance's job. Instead, I added Burst Fire, a Shield Oscillator, a Dual Mod Extension, and Kinetic Coils.
So, I'll regen Shields on a kill, thanks to my armor, and I'll regen shields anytime I expend my heat sink with the Dhan. That should easily offset the shield-draw of spamming Lance. (There's also Annihilation 6a (Draining Field) that would restore 15% shields when killing a target. I'd only respec into that if I really love this build and needed it to survive, since I prefer 6b Vortex. It lifts unprotected enemies, just hanging them up for detonation. It foils those pesky, cloaking AndromeDogs, too.)
When I do use the Dhan, it will fire three-round bursts, at over 1400 damage per round. It's wild. That doesn't even factor in how Annihilation increases all damage within its radius, nor how Melee Synergy does the same for shotguns. Meanwhile, the Asari Sword is pumping out nearly 2000 damage per hit, and only gets stronger as it kills more.
I really look forward to trying this build and loadout. If the Dhan is too powerful, I might swap it for the "lowly" Katana shotgun. With mods, I think I can get its clip size down to three, which would mean one trigger pull with burst fire would regen my shields. Pretty cool.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot one additional thing I can do. There's an augment that, when installed in the arms, adds something crazy like +30% Biotic Damage while hovering. So, I could just hop before Lancing and Charging and get +30% more power damage. Maybe I'm over-optimizing again, but it's there if I want it. 😄
The point of this build would be to become the new Biotic God. It would be a purely biotic Vanguard. My other favorite build, my Sentinel, uses Biotics and Tech not only because it's ideal, but because it's thematic.

Tatiana Ryder went to Havarl: 1. Contacted Addison to complete a journal entry.
2. Jaal's personal quest: Helped Jaal find an Angaran. Killed some Kett to get to her, but she died soon after from self-inflicted wounds. Jaal now plans on setting up a meeting with Akksul.
3. Sanned a bunch of creatures for some scientists.
4. While scanning creatures, came across a Roekaar party and another Roekaar datapad. Seems they want to weaponize the mutations against the Initiative. Found the Roekaar camp, killed them, then copied their data and deleted from their computer.

I played more today than I realized, because I didn't log lots of progress.
I tried the Pure Biotic Vanguard. Meh. I could probably make it work with dedicated optimization, but it still wouldn't be as good as what I already use. It loses out on all the boons of using Tech: Life Support, Technical Rounds, Shield Feedback, etc...
The different Dhan versions sucked compared to my Hesh, and the Katana was so bad that I couldn't even bring myself to use it as a shield regen tool. Weapons really needed rebalancing in this game.
I built a new Valkyrie for Scott. My BioTech Bomber combo specialist often leaves enemies with just a sliver of health after combos. I felt like I was just a tiny percentage short on its already huge Combo Damage bonus. So, I built a Valkyrie for Combo Damage. Since it needed Autofire, Bioconverter, and Dual Mod Extension, it had only two Reaction Optimizers. That's only one more than my Hornet, for an increase of 5% Combo Damage.
The end result was that the Hornet is the better gun for melting most foes, but that additional 5% Combo Damage really did help. Enemies that used to require a swift trigger-tap to finish them are now dying more readily from combo damage alone. The big payoff is that grouped enemies are dying faster. Killing one enemy more easily is good. Since combos are big, though, they're often damaging groups of enemies. Now, instead of a couple of guys lingering with a sliver of health, probably prone and/or levitating, but still alive, entire groups are just dying immediately. The difference is noticeable.
I'll continue to carry both my new Valkyrie and my Hornet. The Hornet is much more affordable to develop during an initial playthrough, since I lean heavily on Milky Way gear. I can't afford an up-to-date Valkyrie, Asari Sword, and Hyperguardian Armor on a new character. The Hornet is also just a better, more damaging gun, unless you're fighting Armor or needing to shoot through cover. I like to have both.
I ended up creating another Sara run and progressing through the establishment of Prodromos. Then, I returned to Scott with little time and energy left. He's further along in the story, revisiting Eos between Havarl and Voeld. (That's when the previously mentioned Valkyrie was constructed.)
Honestly, I think I will need to start a new game from level one if I'm to stay engaged. With this being a NG+++, I find myself skipping dialogue to get back to combat gameplay. I'll probably need to take a break soon, as much as I want to still be engaged. Three consecutive playthroughs, plus some, is a lot. Few games can withstand that level of focused replay.
So, I might start a NG. If I'm truly hitting the wall, that's fine, too. There are many other things I could be doing.

Tatiana Ryder: 1. Went to Voeld to clean some stuff up. Scanned a few rocks and picked a flower. Activated the monoliths. I was trying to get 90% viability on Voeld so I can get an AVP upgrade, but none of the activities I did increased viability, so that means I had to activate the vault or take out the Architect, both of which I hate. 2. Fought the Architect. Died every attempt, twice when he had a sliver of health left on the final leg. I'll either try the Architect again tomorrow or tackle the vault tomorrow. (Also, I started this thread yesterday in the Modding, Mechanics and Builds forum if anyone cares to add their two cents: Small changes you would make to Mass Effect Andromeda)

I jumped back into Sara's journey, did not skip dialogue or rush the story, and enjoyed myself.
She started on Havarl, building relationships with the Angara, establishing an Initiative presence at Dar Pelaav, and bringing the planet to 100% Viability.
Then, she returned to Eos, where the radiation threats had abated. She crushed Kett everywhere, granted Exiles amnesty and a fresh start at Prodromos, and brought valuable data home to the Outpost. I saved with all current activities 100% complete, and it will be on to Voeld next time.
It's been fun using the Valkyrie again. I've enjoyed the greater range and ammo penetration. While attacking Invictor's Base, Chosen were firing from the elevated, central platform while I rigged the shield pylons to explode. Normally, I'd get around to them after destroying the shield. This time, I just shot them from that long distance. Shooting them through their cover causes them to pop up their heads. Then their heads go pop.
I switched to Pathfinder Armor briefly. Its bonuses to Combo Damage are the same as my Hyperguardian Armor. It provides bonuses to weapon accuracy and stability, and some damage reduction. Hyperguardian, by contrast, gives huge bonuses to Health and Shields. (The difference is 1118/748 vs 740/600, or something similar.) The nail in the Pathfinder Armor's coffin, so to speak, is that it lacks the +40% melee damage. That was where the difference was felt. I use melee a lot, so... nope. Gotta have my Hyperguardian.
They both look great, though I don't like Hyperguardian Legs, and use N7 legs instead. Also, I don't like the Hyperguardian Fanny Pack right in the middle of Ryder's butt. It looks so uncomfortable. It's part of the Chest, though, so it has to stay. It doesn't really bother me, but I'd ditch it if I could. 😄

It is a tad OP'd but mostly I just love the sound of the Valkyrie and use that the most. Only Heleus armour for Sara because it looks great, Pathfinder for Scott.

I wish the Angaran Assault Rifle had been included in the SP campaign. It's weird to see them exclusively wielding MW Assault Rifles. We do see the Isharay Sniper Rifle and occasionally the Ushior Pistol. I know this was a thing in MET, as well, with everyone using Systems Alliance weapons. It's even weirder on a new galaxy. Plus, having one more rifle option is always good.
EDIT: I looked up the weapon, and it's called the Sovoa. It is new, co-developed by Angara and Turians. With that lore, I guess it wouldn't solve the issue of dissonance.
I considered starting fresh from level one, again, but muh powah! I'm still enjoying having even the smallest pieces in place. Getting a powerful build up and running doesn't take long at all, but it can take a while to assemble your ideal gear and to level-up all the passives that add fun. For example, I like to use aerial melee attacks to strip defenses, attack groups, finish wounded foes, etc... They don't really become awesome until I've finished leveling the Combat Tools passive.
So, I'm going to finish out this NG+++. Probably my next playthrough will be a NG, whenever that happens.

I continued Sara's journey. After rescuing Danny Messier from bugs and Remnant, it was time to go to Voeld. We completed everything up through establishing Taerve Uni. I actually enjoyed the Vault today, after discussing its "challenges" with RedCaesar97. The level-2 cold is excessive, but there is always a shield bubble nearby to hide and recharge. I like the fight with the Destroyer-- sprint for the bubble in the back of the room, nuke the Destroyer, and clean-up the Assemblers. I still think the cold threat should probably only be level-1. Tomorrow, it will be cleanup and then rescuing Moshae Sjefa. After that, we'll see. As much as I try lots of builds, I'm mostly very happy to use my BioTech Sentinel Combo-Damager and swap to my Tactical Soldier gun-master as needed. Those two really do cover every base. I'm thinking about starting from level one next time, maybe with Soldier (X/Tactical Cloak/Concussive Shot). X will be a variety of Tech Primers like Incinerate, Energy Drain, etc...

My dance partner has not been available for Helldivers 2.
So I am seriously tempted to start an MEA PT and make myself give up my Sentinel obsession (Incinerate/Energy Drain/Overload) and go back to my usual first choice in the ME world and play as a Soldier. I usually mix it up but Adrenaline Rush/Concussive Shot are usually two of the main ones I use.
Tempted to play as Scott but the scenery is better with Sarah and I just find it really hard to create a Scott that I like.

Tatiana Ryder: 1. I struggled against the Voeld Architect last night. Beat it first try tonight in the rematch. That got me over 90% viability on Voeld.
2. Went back to the Tempest to unlock the AVP pod I wanted... only to see that it was not there. I guess I was just too tired last night and misread it? (I have the pod that adds +10% XP for enemy encounters. I thought there was another one that required 90% viability on Voeld that added additional XP.) I decided to unlock the pod that grants 20% chance to give weapons or armor from successful APEX mission, since that is useful for resources later. I then reseached some weapons and couple of augments.
3. Started the Voeld vault, then I got invited to some multiplayer.
INTERMISSION: Played multiplayer
4. Back to single player, where the game glitched (in a good way!) and the vault did not have its cold mechanic. I got to take my time with the consoles. Yay!
I should note, I had the cold mechanic glitch out on Voeld earlier this playthrough. I have been rather lucky. I have no mods installed for this game. IT got cold again after I exited the vault though. But all of Voeld is now complete.

RedCaesar97, I've had that weather bug on Voeld. I used to save the Vault as long as possible when it happened, since activating the Vault usually fixes it. The Voeld Architect seems pretty unpopular, but it's my favorite of the bunch. I assume it's the cold hazard during a fight that makes it so? I'm curious from which positions you guys fight it? Entering the valley from the quest marker, I drive to the structure on the left side. (We'll call that Structure #1.) I can stay warm between the combat sequences and grab ammo from crates. When it moves, I drive around the left side and go into the next structure (#2). Rinse and repeat. Then, I head over to the large, central structure that is nearly touching #2. Structure #3 is very open inside, but heated. I open the door that faces the Architect and fight it from inside the door. The cold is never a factor. I finished Voeld, the Exaltation Facility, and some visits to Aya and the Nexus. I like how the Initiative starts to take form as planets are discovered and settled. Eos, Voeld, Kadara and Elaaden are homes. Voeld provides nearly endless water. H-047c provides tons of He-3, particularly with the Tiller active. Kadara provides agricultural fertilizer. dazk, I can share the links to my current twins. They each look great. It would probably be hard for anyone to even guess which faces served as their starting points. You have to see them in the CC menu, as these little thumbs are ass at showing how characters look. They can't show the details that separate the grain from the chaff. No worries, of course, if they aren't for you; and obviously anyone is welcome to use them. One small bonus is that they begin the game in distinctive armor colors. They're Initiative color schemes, so nothing wonky. It allows me to avoid the annoying shift to N7 colors in NG+. The colors each originated from schemes I had applied to the Deep Space Explorer Armor and saved while tinkering in Tempest's medbay. I have the opposite with the vault in that the weather always gets worse after activating the vault so making the Architect fight worse.
So from the perspective of this screenshot, I head around the right side of the "village" then enter a building mid way round and then pretty much cut straight across to the left.
Here's a video of me fighting it on Insanity think i have the weather turned off or it bugged out
This is on Hardcore weather turned on, not one of my better performances. Architect glitches at one point and doesn't give me the leg option I think.
Sentinel - Overload, Energy Drain and Incinerate.
Pathfinder AR - Auto-fire, Dual Mod Extension, 3 Kinetic Cores - Disruptor Ammo

Fighting the Progenitor with the Valkyrie AR modded for auto-fire. Shows the Progenitor having the bug where it takes nearly no damage after its turrets are destroyed quick time by the Valkyrie. Had to go down and load ammo to make it take damage.

I'd never really thought about recording and sharing gameplay videos. I think the PS5 makes it pretty easy to do so. I'll think about doing some for Mass Effect or Forbidden West. No promises. 😉
I've had the Progenitor turtle up like that, and other Destroyers as well. I sometimes assign my team to attack it and just kill the other machines until it resumes the fight. If you have a damage-over-time effect like Annihilation or Singularity, you can drain its shields with the DoT. Once its shields disappear, it usually returns to the fight.

They'd be solid evidence that I'm not just running my trap about builds and gameplay. More importantly, they might inspire others to try different playstyles after seeing them in action. Speaking of trying new things, I might try a new early-game primer next time. I usually rotate primers in and out until I finally lock-in Annihilation on Havarl. I might try Lance/X/Energy Drain, where X is Cryobeam or Incinerate or something. I think last time I used Singularity with a single point invested, and it worked well.

So last night I was bored so started a new NG++++ game, blitzed through Habitat 7 on Insanity with the gimped weapons and armour. Not sure how much or how often I'll play but will squeeze in some hours now and then. Made a new Sara and didn't use my usual MODDED face to make one from scratch and to try something different as apparently due to earlier comments I had a "type" but think my 15+ shots of my different Sara's showed that wasn't the case. Anyway here she is, not overly happy mainly with the hairstyle. And maybe I made another Alec/Captain Dunn secret affair baby. Always love the start of the game cutscenes and arrival and Habitat 7 is a blast. Sara started her litany of falling Dad fixed this then died Sara got a new brain

The Voeld Architect seems pretty unpopular, but it's my favorite of the bunch. I assume it's the cold hazard during a fight that makes it so? I'm curious from which positions you guys fight it? It is mostly the cold, or rather how the cold (and heat) functions in the area. When it first lands, you can use the wide-open platform to fight it, and the platform is heated so you can move around pretty freely so you can avoid attacks and have a good shot at the Architect weak points. The cover is not great, but it is good enough. For the second phase, you have two roughly-equal spots you can fight it from, both of which kind of suck. Both buildings are heated, but only under cover, and the ammo boxes are in kind of bad places. You are forced to go in and out of the building during the fight. You have limited time outside so you have to keep going back in to heat back up. The Architect also has an attack that can go through walls and leaves an area-of-effect attack that lingers which forces you to move. You can take shots at the Architect from inside the buildings, but that attack will force you out of the line of sight. Also indoors the ammo boxes are placed so you keep hitting them when trying to move out of the way of attacks, which picks up ammo when you do not really need it, draining that ammo much sooner before you need it. The third phase kind of forces you to fight in the middle building. Heated inside, so you are forced to go outside to fight. You can open the doors, but they will close if you move too far away, because you have to dodge out of the way of some attacks. The ammo problem does not really occur here, but you still have the go-outside-go-inside-repeat problem as the second stage of fight. I just find the Voeld Architect more tedious than the other Architect fights. Probably does not help that you tend to fight it early with a lower-level character with lower-end equipment. And as a previous poster said, activating the vault may cause the cold to get worse (if you do it after activating the vault), but that may just be our imagination. I like the IDEA of fighting it while also dealing with the cold, but because it is a bullet sponge, a lot of biotic and/or tech-focused builds will struggle more with it, and the cold is too unforgiving on Voeld. The cold hazard just drains your life support way too fast and the Backup Life Support consumable (or whatever it is called) just does not reduce it in a meaningful way at all. In my current playthrough, it took me several tries on one night where I failed twice with just a sliver of its health left. I managed to do it first try the next time. In each of those attempts (and some of the other attempts), I had at times been forced to go back inside to recover life support, wasting several seconds of not damaging it, just to go outside just in time for it to cover up its weak points and send out support Remnant. This happened way too often for my liking, which just dragged out the fight even more. It just felt tedious and annoying and a little frustrating. I do not have that issue with the other Architects even if I die, because I can move around a lot more freely and take cover with better terrain.

Tatiana Ryder: 1. Picked some flowers on Havarl, then went back to Eos to complete some tasks.
2. Rescued some workers who were messing around with Remnant.
3. Recovered the (attempted) murder evidence.
4. Scanned minerals. Placed beacons. Placed a pendant. Placed a news receiver. Recovered drones.
5. Investigated site 2. Fought the Kett and a Fiend. Recovered the secret research project.
6. Found reasearcher sites. They led to a Remnant vault. Recovered the researcher's data.
7. Scanned Remnant data cores held by Kett. They led to a Remnant vault. Killed the Kett and recovered the data.
8. Destroyed Kett surveillance devices. They led to a Kett outpost. Killed the Kett, scrambled the data, then destroyed the console.
9. Met Bain Massani, got a location to the Kett Barracks. Killed the Kett at the Barracks.
10. Investigated supply drop sites, found a group of smugglers. Sent them to Podromos.
11. Saved Danny from wildlife. Saved Danny from the Kett. Saved Danny from the Remnant.
12. Finished scanning all the dead bodies, then tracked down and rescued the colonists that escaped in a shuttle.
13. Returned to the Nexus for a few things. Exiled the (attempted) murderer. Discovered that Jien Garson was murdered.

And as a previous poster said, activating the vault may cause the cold to get worse (if you do it after activating the vault), but that may just be our imagination. Definitely not imagination, there is definitely an inconsistent bug where the cold goes to the most severe level at any point of the game. It can also do the opposite especially at the start of doing Voeld where there is no cold penalty applied at all and you do not have to worry about it. For example, I have started the trip down the mountain and at that first encounter with the Angara and Kett it has been so cold it is impossible when you get out of the vehicle to kill all the Kett on the higher levels. I have had at the same point in the game experienced it where there is no cold effect, and you could stand there for hours. Both are usually fixed by exiting the game, but the bug has happened to me randomly, in the vault making it unplayable and after the vault is activated meaning the fight against the Architect is almost impossible or takes forever. I have a MOD installed that I only use to remove the cold effect when I do the vault so completing the puzzle is not a pain and sometimes if I cannot after 20+ PT's be bothered with it during the Architect fight.

Thanks for the replies. I think it's three things that create a different experience for us.
First, the cold doesn't bother me here. I use the buildings I described, transit using the Nomad, and just never find it any trouble. (I've only ever experienced a level-1 threat during this fight. The level-2s have only ever been in the mountain passes near the Resistance and Kett bases, and in the Vault. I have often experienced the no-Cold bug that ends when I reset the Vault, making it colder rather than warmer.)
Tied closely to the first one is that I don't fight Architects with powers, except for the one on Eos that I usually fight first. I only use weapons builds. There's no sponginess to the Architects because I'm using Tactical Cloak, Turbocharge, and Invasion. (I also use very powerful guns, which I start building very early.) If I don't have Invasion, PeeBee does. I usually bring PeeBee and Vetra to these fights. (The exception is the Vanguard. It can Charge and shotgun Architects in the face.) So, the fights are ending long before they can become tedious.
Third, I can afford to do this because I'm usually around level 30, maybe higher, when I fight the Voeld Architect. It's the last big quest I do during my first visit to the planet, other than rescuing Moshae Sjefa. Having two Favorites fleshed out is a lot easier at that level.
It's always interesting to me to see the different experiences created by different approaches to the challenges. These open world games are good for this, since the content can be experienced at entirely different stages of character growth. Maybe I'll do Voeld first, next time, of the two Angaran worlds. I usually visit Havarl, return to Eos, and then visit Voeld. The initial reception is different on the planets when done in this order.
