Maybe some additional info about the other melee weapons: I believe the biotic amplifier is applying the largest force, or one of the two that do ( can't check right now ). But force is really underwhelming in andromeda and only really applied at the moment of killing an enemy for some ragdoll effects. Edit: The biotic Amplifier applies 500 force, the next ranked SP melee weapon in that regard is the Asari Sword with 350.
The Kett Carfalon Vakarsh firesword primes to 75 %. This is not affected by any bonus, you always need a second strike or something else to get the target to 100 % primed for fire explosions. (Cryo primers also remove fire primers and vice versa ) The Angaran electric shiv firaan primes only to one third, (35 % or so ). So you would need at least 3 strikes to fully prime an enemy. BUT the primer status only lasts for 2 seconds and/or might even slowly fade away. Basically I've never gotten an enemy primed when using this thing (without mods at least). So, in essence the common knowledge of: Cryo gauntlet all day every dayThe krogan hammer is also fun though, and has a small area of effect. And the batarian gauntlet can detonate primed targets with 75 % of the normal combo damage.

Though that it detonates combos might still be useful knowledge, IIRC it is not actively mentioned in the game mp character selection.

I rediscovered a Nomad paint that I like. I tend to match the Nomad color to the planet I'm on. The white one for Voeld, one of the red ones for Elaaden, etc. I usually match to environment, too. "Snowfall" is great as camouflage pretty much everywhere, since it easily approximates desert camo. I am weirdly pleased by hexagons. I can't explain it, but it's a fact. 😄 So, naturally I love "Hex". It's clean, too, just white and black. "Nebula" is my colorful choice, and" Monolith Midnight" is a cool, less colorful alternative. I also like "Honeycomb". Maybe it's the hex fetish, again? Sometimes, when I'm annoyed by Elaaden's heat, I'll put the "Platinum" finish on the Nomad. That's probably the one we'd want in a real heat crisis.

I got in a good amount of gaming, today. Sara fought Roekarr on Eos, and again at Havarl's Forge. It also strikes me as weird that Angara have Energy Drain rather than Overload. The latter makes much more sense, given the lore.
She also cleaned up Liam's shitty diaper. The mission is fun, but he just won't shut up. I always have a spike of annoyance when he says, "Pathfinder, I just have one thing to say..." STFU, dude. Know when to stay quiet. And quit starting your asinine statements with, "Pathfinder". The Pathfinder is the last person you should be addressing at this time. He really annoys me.
We rescued Ark Leusinia. I didn't skip the cheesy dialogue this time. I just let it wash over me. 😄
Sara took Drack and Vetra to H-047c. I really enjoy the Exile mining domes, the Remnant Tiller, and Vetra's mission. The Progenitor died so quickly this time that it seriously didn't know it was dead. I destroyed its health bar, and the bar disappeared. The Progenitor sort of stood there, doing its combat stuff, but without inflicting damage, and then just disappeared. I guess the explosion animation got lost.
We tidied up some other stuff, too. Next up is Elaaden. I think we can go straight there, tomorrow. I would've started it today, but my best buddy wanted to go for his third walk of the day. We had a great time, chilling alone in the bark park. He's the best.

I'm already thinking about my "next playthrough", even though I could easily shift my playstyle in this playthrough. I'm thinking about two builds, a Vanguard and a Sniper/Gunner.
The Vanguard I've played several times. It's very overpowered, for the same reasons my favorite Sentinel is, and it's fun. It's Vanguard (Charge/Annihilation/Energy Drain) It flies around the battlefield, detonating combos; it uses the best weapons and does crazy melee damage; and it is dominant against every enemy type. There's no enemy it cannot prime, Charge, and shoot to death.
I've never played a Sniper. I rarely snipe in games without some significant incentive. The build I'm thinking of would be just as good with any gun, so I will still try it for a while. It's Soldier (Barricade/Tactical Cloak/Turbocharge). I usually use Assault Turret or Invasion in that first slot, but Barricade could be cool. It buffs both damage and defense, if I recall correctly. Heck, I think I'll just throw Barricade into the mix the next time I'm tempted to use the Soldier loadout.
If I decide to play Vanguard, I usually fully commit to it. So... maybe I'll have one more playthrough after this

More Tatiana Ryder: she managed to rescue some Turians on Havarl and help recover some data. Then she found the sages, recovered an old Angaran gauntlet and gave it to some Roekaar guy who used it to recover memories from a past life. He help Tatiana find and reactivate the third monolith.
Next up: Havarl's vault, then the Fusion Mod of Adrenaline. After that, things should get a little easier. I died a few times because Insanity can still be quite painful this early in the game.

I usually really enjoy sniping in games that allow it ( even though my aiming sucks ) Actual long range sniping is sadly somewhat limited in MEA even though the open world should actually permit do it more favours than ME2 and 3s small short distance corridors.
The main Problems are: - During Missions, there are often times certain location triggers you have to get to before enemies stop spawning. Especially noticeable in the Kett Operations Base on Voeld. The enemies at the lower levels keep spawning there until you go down there yourself.
- Significant bullet drop on most sniper weapons past ranges of 200 m.
- Enemy encampments in the open world respawn killed troops when Ryder is outside their 'playing field' ( IIRC that's what it was called in the game files ). This playing field is a radius of only 45 m around the location (!)
But at least against the last two of those problems there are mods on pc.

But at least against the last two of those problems there are mods on pc. I'm just not a big sniper. I'll never end up following through on my "Maybe I'll try sniping thoughts". 😄 I've enjoyed it in AC games with bows, but generally prefer an aggressive approach in Mass Effect, all the more so in Andromeda. Getting up close is loud, flashy, and more efficient. I hope my playthrough with Sara hasn't hit a fatal bug. We completely mopped up Elaaden today, beginning to end. The only things left were the Architect and the HNS Receiver, plus an RNG quest that just won't appear. After establishing the outpost at New Tuchanka, Sara was visiting the new buildings. She jumped across the "street", from one structure to another, and fell through the world. The silhouette of the Gas Giant was the only thing visible, with Sara popping in and out of view. I managed to access the map and fast travel, but it didn't help. I closed the game and reloaded an earlier save, but the game stuttered, blinked, and again dropped her into the shadow realm. I'll try again tomorrow, reinstalling the game if need be. In my experience, this kind of jank never happens on consoles. It's one of the very few advantages we consolers enjoy. MEA feels a bit more buggy on PS5. It was already an unstable, unfinished game. Maybe there are differences that are exacerbating the existing jankiness. I hope I'm able to get it back on track, tomorrow. I'm nearing the home stretch, with all four outposts established. If I lose this playthrough, I can't see myself starting another Sara playthrough immediately. Maybe Scott, maybe not. Before the jank, things were going well. I had built her Pathfinder armor yesterday or the day before. I ended up using it for one mission and deconstructing it. Hyperguardian is simply too good for what I'm doing. I like the appearance of both, so aesthetics aren't a problem. I still have a Pathfinder set for a weapons-focused build (Combat Power Damage), in case I decide to shift that way. The autofire Valkyrie is so fun to use. Even with gear customized completely for Combo Damage, including the Valkyrie itself, it still just rips through armored targets. The bioconverter allows me to just hold the trigger until the Fiend, Destroyer, or whatever is dead. It alone makes me think about playing a Soldier-primary playthrough. There are a couple of skills I'd like to tweak, but I don't feel like respec'ing all 36 skills. Ugh. 😄 It's so much work for a small payoff.

Element Zero it is very game dependent and even situational in games like Ghost Recon etc. MEA I couldn't make it work except for on Havarl in the trench place.

Tatiana Ryder activated the vault on Havarl and then retrieved the Fusion Mod of Adrenaline.
Next she traveled to Voeld and started a few quests. Rescued some prisoners, delivered data to someone, and am ready to assault the Kett base.

Ugh. Restarting the PS5 this morning didn't correct the issues on Elaaden. Saves from before the issue are affected, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I've deleted the game and reinstalling will take another 14 minutes. I'm going to delete some saves before reloading. I'm willing to lose some progress if it will save the playthrough as a whole.
I'm not sure why I'm posting this. Anxious anticipation combined with nothing to do but wait? I'll update this post when the outcome is certain, hopefully with good news. 😖
EDIT: Well, so far so good. I deleted about an hour of gameplay, all Auto Saves. This game creates excessive and disruptive auto saves. I recall the patch that added them. Ugh. Anyway, Sara is just exiting the Remnant Derelict and will track the drive core. I hope things remain stable.
EDIT 2: Sigh. I can't interact with Morda. The prompt is present, but nothing happens. This happened yesterday, as well. I hope it's not a harbinger of jank to come.
EDIT 3: The game is now crashing. Fuuuu... 🙄
EDIT 4: Okay, everything seems stable. We're on our way to meet Avitus at coordinates in Remav.

Now that was something, glad its working now! Kinda weird, the worst bug i ever got in MEA was that the Nomad suddenly disappeared while i was driving around in it. All the crashes were mostly my own doing.
But w.r.t. Bugs and Autosaves: AFAIK saves -especially autosaves- created while inside the Nomad on Voeld are still bugged and cannot be loaded at all. Or at least I thought this only affects Voeld, maybe it happens on other planets as well So creating manual saves while on foot every once in a while is a good idea.

I played too much today. My wife is out of town, so there's no live-in limiter on my screen time. 😄
I finished up Elaaden today, eventually bypassing the bug by reinstalling and deleting all auto saves. After Elaaden, we found Ark Natanus with Avitus Rix. Then began the planet-hopping tour to please squaddies and tie up collection and talky quests.
PeeBee's loyalty mission was the final one. For some reason, PeeBee's recklessness annoys me far less than Liam's. I believe it's because she's self-aware and contrite. Liam never gets it. As Lexi observes, "He's confused... he sees rescuing Verand as a win."
Sara raided the Archon's flagship, stole Ark Paarchero, and got the location of Khi Tasira. Pathfinder Raeka died trying to rescue a handful of Salarians aboard Verakan.
Sara made the relationship with Suvi official. I learned that there is a non-cheesy path, as long as you avoid the "I like you" dialogue option. The relationship feels bare bones and could've used more content, but it's cute.
I saved just before visiting the Nexus leadership in regard to Khi Tasira. This means I'll probably finish the game tomorrow. Wow. That's three complete playthroughs in a very brief window. I can't decide whether to take a break, or respec a few skills and start number four.

Tatiana Ryder did some small Voeld quests, then raided a Kett base and killed the Ascendent (but forgot to scan it). With the barrier down, she found an old Angaran AI buried in a cave, but destroyed it when it tried to kill an Angaran. Did some more quests and turned in a few things.
Struggled a lot with the Kett base; I made some bad decisions, but many times I just had enemies spawn behind me and did not react well. Also kept getting killed a lot trying to take down the poachers (kept trying to scan them and a lot of bad positioning outside).
Maxed my three skills (Invasion, Pull, Shockwave) and have started working on some passive buffs.

RedCaesar97, you can scan dead enemies. They usually don't disappear unless you leave the area. It doesn't work with enemies that burn or explode, of course, but it's pretty reliable.

I finally scanned the Architect on Elaaden to put it away, and a Breacher at the same time because, why not?

Sara Ryder's journey has concluded. It's hard to believe how I've run through this game three times in short order. 😳 That strong end game makes you want to continue. I really like this Sara. I made her as a compliment to my favorite Scott. They are definitely the Ryders I picture when I imagine the twins. The final scene with Suvi was cute. I wasn't expecting another scene, and it is by far Suvi's best scene. It's kind of a shame it's locked behind the romance. I should've known there was something left. I now recall BansheeOwnage having a nice, animated avatar of her Ryder in that scene. (If BansheeOwnage ever drops in again, howdy friend. It's been a while. 😉) I tried getting Liam off the bench late in the game. He rode with Drack and Cora for a while on Elaaden. He's so aggressive that he regularly steals my kills. It's cool, but can be iffy when you're relying on the FMoA. I took him to Kadara, and he started his judgmental nonsense with Vetra, just as he had with Cora. I'd have let it slide, but he started bouncing grenades inside Nomad's shield, again. Back to the end of the bench, you idiotic man-child.😆 I did respec my skills fairly late in the game. I changed a few things, here and there, to better support Vanguard play. If I play again, I think I'll focus on Vanguard (Charge/Annihilation/Energy Drain) and Soldier (Invasion/Tactical Cloak/Turbocharge). That's not a big departure from my usual favorites, simply focusing on Vanguard over Sentinel.

I've started a new Scott playthrough, but I'm ready to bail at the first hint of fatigue.
I'm going to try new color combos on my gear, play some Vanguard, etc... to create some variety. I'm pretty happy with my colors, though, so I may fall back on the classics before too long.

Element Zero when you talked about romancing Suvi I think I said the end scene made up for the cringe stuff at the beginning. Glad though that it ended up being a surprise. She also has one of the funniest lines when talking with Kallo about looking up Jien Garson's skirt. I gave my Sara that romanced Suvi Orange hair:

PeeBee often behaves like a teen and Liam like a pre-teen. It wasn't cheesy since I didn't pick the "I like you" line in the early game. It's a very slow burn, but the ending was nice. I had to save my 4th playthrough, another Scott, after arriving at the Nexus. The fact that I didn't want to do so is a good sign, I guess. No signs of boredom, yet.

I should really start using Notepad to record what I did in the game before posting here (like I do with my Mass Effect Trilogy playthroughs). I kind of forget what I did today.
Anyway, Tatiana Ryder did a few more things on Voeld (finished some of those RNG quests, but started another; ugh), then rescued the Moshae. Did a few things on Aya, visited Aya's vault, and now have access to Kadara.
Not sure if I will head to Kadara next, or go back to Eos and Voeld and finish up what I can there. Also need to set up the scientists on Havarl and do a few things there as well.
