And, yeah, starting to feel I would not mind playing a funny M!Ryder. Just wish they'd let me use the same two customizations I did for Tishujen and her brother. They both look pretty good. My Scott is starting to show some purple!Hawke tendencies. Yes, I sort of recognized purple responses when I took Casual tone. But I don't know if I want to use the Space Dorian preset or Tishujen's bro preset. The struggle is real!

If you go to The Journey So Far and click on Ryder, Dr. Lexi provides a summary of how Sara or Scott are doing as pathfinder and their personality. In mine so far, Dr. Lexi mentioned Sara is professional and direct while dealing with the tasks at hand. She adjusts quickly to complicated situations (ie. encountering the Angara) and that her skills in military training are paying off.

Tried to fight my first Architect on Eos and it friggn bugged out 2/3 of the fight. Just hung in the air going no where. Hit exit to desktop and went to bed. I will say when it first appeared I was thinking this won't end well but the fight wasn't as bad as I expected. Had Vetra and Drack with me and that made for some fun times

Made it too level 57.
Put up an outpost on EOS.
Using charge, nova and singularity. Even crafted N7 armor to boost my biotics. Even crafted a nice shotgun, which I haven't used much.

It finally dawned on me who default Scott looks like. In the earlier previews I saw he had a Cullen vibe. Now, he looks more like Lee Adama (Jamie Bamber) on new BSG.

I collected some fruit and nutrient paste for Lexi to analyze, then ran around the spaceport on Aya collecting letters to Santa. I edited a few of them, and got an annoyed email from Tann about it. Whoops

No outpost on Elaanden. I've an inkling that the remnant drive core might throw up a possibility for the AI to build transit corridors like the ME relays so I refused to give it to the krogans. The leadership is untrustworthy anyway; despite her disdain for carrying old grudges, and some of the krogans are moderate. They can choose to have friendly relations despite Morda.

Finished most of the stuff on Elaadan and now back at the Nexus. Took down Spender and threw his lying ass in jail. Exile might have been nice, but I figure he'd find a way to be even more annoying if I did. Although, if I accidentally mistook him for a scavenger....oopsie. I'll exile him next time with Sara. Based on "opposites day," she's going to be a hardass. For loyalty missions, I think I'm going to leave the asari ark for absolute last, just to annoy Cora.

Advancing through Voeld, lots of side stuff, and saving the Angaran prisoners to prove my worth. Not much more because I spent my time basically resetting my OS and everything on it, on my desktop (I use my laptop more but this PC had years of bloat added onto it over time). It had spyware/etc issues that seemed to compromise too many files and I just said screw it and went for it. Though then there was another bug where I couldn't use the Win 10 installer so I had to find all sorts of workarounds . But now I have it! And drivers, Origin, and MEA installed (ME3 currently downloading). Better performance than before, plus more, weirdly, while playing borderless windowed. 40s-50s regularly on Medium-High settings like I hoped - hardware improvements may have to wait til next year. Next up is hanging around Voeld before getting sick of it and going back to my ship and Aya. I have an increasingly strong tech build happening but I hope the exp comes in better soon so I can start making alternate specs.

I'm closing in on the final showdown in MEA, just need to clear up one more priority mission and I'm on the final leg. The most exciting thing thus far? Hearing the deep thrum of the Reapers again. That brings back a lot of memories. It's akin to the awe, questions and anticipation I felt when I watched the SF tv series Babylon 5; how the h*ll do the younger races even have a chance against the Shadows?? They're the oldest and most ancient of the known races in the galaxy, their technology was way beyond the present level of the younger races. They wanted to wage war again and again after an interval of a thousand years. Why? No one knew. Even the ancient Vorlons seemed to have turned; once allies, now their agenda had gone murky. The Reapers of MET brought back those same feelings of awe, questions and anticipation. Ancient, powerful, beyond comprehension but their agenda was clear cut; annihilation of all advanced organic races. Hearing that sound again. Shit....ruunnn! The Kett. ... meh...

Today I fought the mountain. Took out the Kett base on Voeld. After finishing I thought the quest marker was just indicating the opening to the hanger bay, so I fast traveled back to the Angaran Daar to find Buxil. Then learned that she was actually at the base and I had to go all the way back up the mountain.
Also ran across site 2 on Eos (I'd apparently missed it since the only other thing left to do there is the Kett base). Killed the Fiend, got the secret project. Ryder says something along the lines of going to a research station to see what we've got. So I did, and I couldn't find anything new to research or develop. I don't know what's up with that.
Purposefully ignoring Gil to not push the hunting the Archon mission forward, no matter how many times Kallo and Suvi remind me upon returning to the Tempest.

I was still on Voeld last night, as it seems a bigger world than Havarl. Two monolith down, one to go, and there might be another step in Kett's prison camp left, I can't recall atm. I really liked banter with side-quest Angara. The couple that was being big fans, and the grumpy cat who did not want my Ryder picking fights that's not hers when she went all gang-ho to save every Angara she comes across. I've also messed around with trying to create me a male lead. My first take was on Space Dorian, but i think I started on the wrong head for him. It doesn't animate successfully once you mess with his mouth, and the complexion is too exaggerated for a 22 year old Ryder (Figure 1). Figure 1. Dorian the Space Explorian Then, I guess the whole gray-eyes and eyeliner got me thinking about the Korean contribution to the bloom of videogames' manhood, the wee caterpillar in the shadow of his butterfly princess (I am sure some of it was lost in translation, but I got the gist), poor old Junghado. Obviously, no Bio game has that exceptionally off-center hairstyle anywhere close to his, or features peculiarly triangular faces, so I got what I've got (Figure 2). Figure 2. Space Junghado, a Tribute to One Token Male in the World Dominated by Boobs Aww, well. Was fun trying. I will probably eventually create a male lead without a copious use of eye-liner and give up on the attempts to shade lips a little in desperate attempt to capture outdoorsy roughness, because my lack of artistic talent leads to odd results :) Back to the third Monolith for Tishujen, on Voeld, heh. I probably should swing by Tempest and see if I can get any upgrades build for her weapons etc. She's level 18, and the game tells me it's been 21 hours and 21% completion. We are long way from a home run, Tish.

Today I'm sitting in the office unable to play, but at least I could get few strike teams on missions done through APEX HQ on android emulator?
At least that's what I thought initially. Sent 2 teams on 2-3 hour missions. Checked the progress a few hours later to see 0% and two 5 hour timers. Checked again this afternoon to see 7 hour timers on. I think my two strike teams took a right turn at Albuquerque and are now stuck in the Twilight Zone where time goes backwards. Send help!

@domi , Space Junghado reminds me of Harry Kim from ST Voyager. It's harder to get space Dorian; no special moustache, those big eyes, that hairstyle, no way to show off a nice physique (if the MEA toon even have one ). *sigh* MEA is insipid in chars. I'm going to hug my femShep plushy in my second ME fic and revisit all the old chars just to refresh myself. That mission I thought is the final isn't. Now I have more priority stuff to do. I would find it less tedious if there isn't any flying in / out scenes every time you leave / enter a system / orbit ; it's akin to the Inq gathering animation. Move along, damn it!!

I think you are right, he does have something of Harry. Heh, I guess I will keep him then seeing that like 30% of Voyager episodes have a common theme of "Harry must suffer" so it sort of fits with Andromeda protagonist. Omg, if I knew what Liam's project was about, I'd start it sooner. Not that I actually figured out what it was about, too distracted. Okay, I know, it's really cheesy, and silly locker room humoresque, but i had a giggle. After I finished the ancient stuff, I put Liam with Jaal to see what banter they had when they are on the team together. Now, I am paralyzed by indescision.. Basically did all I wanted on Voeld, vault, settlement, but I finished the ice cave once, and did not really like how it turned out - I ended up with AI cuddling up to SAM. So I will need to redo this whole mini dungeon, but I have no idea what to chose. Should I just destroy it in my drive to save every Angarans I can? I thought that's what I was going for, but I guess I did not read the options right, because the AI said my life for his, so I assumed if I let her live, she'll let the Angara guy go, but by some reason letting her live meant killing the Angara. So, I guess, kill it? But I am curious if she becomes a story later on...

Sassmeister is done and I can finally peek my head in here. So hi o/ It was an amazing journey with her and I'm so happy we made it. She still has some side quests to mull over, then it will be time to decide between Richard or Yamoko.

Killed the Archon and set up shop on Meridian. Thought the not council could have been a bit more grateful towards my not shepard. Anyway Sara has had enough time in the spotlight. Going to start a Scott playthrough now

So, went back and replayed the small ice dungeon, letting the weird AI die.
Then stopped by Aya to drop Moshae off, did a bit of running around doing small tasks there, such a pretty place. Was surprised when Angara were unfamiliar with the concept of money. Barter just does not seem right for a civilization that sofisticated.
Met Liam there. Can't ever figure out what he's after, either he is really confused, or I am. Scanned some trader, then he told me not to scan trader...
Dropped by Nexus, saw PB's old flame, and her new toy. Picked up movie library for Liam.
Was going to check out Eos progress, then head to Kadar, but Liam got in over his head, so I went and did his mission. I took Vetra along as it seemed her kind of underworld thing, and it was pretty funny. But, honestly, Liam was kind of silly giving Nexus codex out... oh, well. Also, got clued in I am playing on Normal, not casual when I could not kill the large rampaging beastie in the end of the quest and hold the terminal for hack.
and that's the end of my vacation time, alas, so tomorrow it's back to usual teaspoon a day for gameplay. (Sigh) so curious to see how Port Nowhere... erm... Kadaros is.

I went to look up the rogue A.I. decision once I made mine; I also had the same thought as you and it ended killing the angaran. I went with it although I was regreting the decision so it ended up on Nexus next to SAM. When I read the report of what it did, it didn't make me feel any better. Anyway, I went to check and if it's with SAM, it does nothing further. If given to the Angarans, they will iron out the problems and the A.I. will apparently come into play some time later to help in a mission.

I killed a scavenger that sabotaged the Nomad. Finished Avela's mission, Forgotten History. I gave Vorn's plant to Kesh. Gil sent an e-mail confessing that he let Jaal win the poker game. Returned to Meridian to talk with people. To my surprise, Scott disappeared. Wandered all over Elaaden, but I still can't figure out how to do the "Dismantled" mission.

Finished the game. What I like : anyone that you saved or helped will show up to pitch in the final fight. The psych profile on my Ryder is analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, grounded and unemotional response to crisis. On the negative side. Most important, need better writers. The lacks already made up quite a list. If the story had been hefty and good, the impact of the flaws wouldn't be that great but unfortunately, they didn't do that well with the story. * The framework is good but the villain needs more exposition. The Archon has nothing much to say except the same old query / threat routine. * Better companion background and personality. Jaal represented an opportunity to take onboard a suspicious, antagonistic and sceptical crew member. It'd better if there were consistent / persistent conflicts / questions arising from actions taken, with him coming around to Ryder's perspective or respecting that POV even if he doesn't agree. Make it a difficult journey for him to understand the crew and for Ryder to understand him. Instead, he's bland and receptive from the word 'go'. Cora is the other char I have issues with. I'm not sure where the writer was going with her; a person who knows not what she wants and just follow the beat of the drum? All I know of her is that she couldn't find her place among the humans because she's an odd ball biotic. She's not happy she's not Pathfinder; I half expected her to throw a tantrum. I want! I want! She's got a thing about her time with the asari, she holds up some of them like goddesses, read their manuals like holy text (probably quote them in her sleep too) and has a bee in her bonnet about gardening and roses. Not inspiring, rather insipid, repetitive and annoying. The rest of the crew don't stand out though they're not as whacky as Cora. * The writing is uneven, empty and illogical. Some things happen because the writers want it that way even if it doesn't make sense. Some things are conveniently rewritten because they want to convey the impact of the stuff they want to show; didn't turn out well imo. The end product is a uneven, jagged, jumbled tapestry that does not present a solid beautiful design. The ending is fine. Not great, just fine.
