yeah when reading the book all I could think was why did they not just let him stay asleep, hell once they realised how bad a leader he was someone should have hit him on the head and frozen him again. I was surprised Kesh was not an option to be the ambassador at the end. She certainly would have been a better candidate than Morda FFS. I doubt she would have taken the role but she of anyone other than The Moshae would have been the best candidate for the role. I think your options change based upon completed content and choices made. Maybe some get her as a choice? I'd check the wiki, but... meh. As I was on my planet-hopping, weapons-testing tour, I spoke with Bradley post-game. He talked about how the Moshae was doing amazing work, smoothing wrinkles and bringing people together in a way no one else could've done. I thought, "Yep. That's why I picked her, duuuude." No one else makes a lick of sense in comparison. I think the options for ambassador are static but I am not willing to bet my modded Valkyrie on it. I have chosen her every time. I must remember to do more of the chatting after game, usually I am too keen to start again. That being said I am in the middle of The Citadel DLC, nearly done with ME3 and then another run of MEA

With my internet service fixed and a few other real life things taken care of, I finally had a chance to play a bit more. Scott's still on Eos with Vetra and Cora. They tried to get some rock samples some scientists on the Nexus wanted, but the high radiation in the surrounding area almost killed them. I guess I'll have to improve the atmosphere some more, or get some gear that will offer more protection, maybe. I've left it for now, anyway. They investigated another outpost (called “Resilience”) that had been attacked by the Kett, and were themselves attacked by both the Kett and some Brute-like thing. They explored some more and found Drack fighting some Kett (evidently fighting is a favourite pastime of krogan no matter what galaxy they're in ). Scott and company helped defeat the enemies, and Drack seemed impressed asked to join up. The more the merrier. A new outpost was established, with Scott deciding that it should be dedicated to scientific rather than military pursuits. Addison came down to oversee the development – she doesn't seem to like Scott very much. I ended the session after the cutscene – it appeared we'd been transported back to the location of the Tempest, so I'm taking that as a hint that it's time to leave this planet for the time being and do other things. There's some stuff to take care of back on the Nexus, so I think I'll head there when I resume.

I finally got to play some more MEA. (I couldn't play yesterday, nor until late afternoon today. The horror!) We did a ton of stuff. Discovered Khi Tasira; mapped a likely vector for Meridian; and enjoyed Liam's brilliant date for Sara. I'm actually playing at the moment, exploring the galaxy map. I will shit it off for a while, soon, so I can charge my headset and controller. Thoughts from today's play: * Valkyrie FABE/bio is still a lot of fun. Not only is it very effective, but it's fun to use something a bit alien. Considering my other weapons are the Hesh-FASP and Inferno, I guess my entire arsenal is pretty alien. * My new AR was way too powerful in tandem with Turbocharge, so I've been trying alternatives to pair with Tactical Cloak and Invasion. Since this is a weapon-user build, I really didn't want to go too "caster". I usually use Assault Turret, but wanted to do something else. I knocked the dust off of Zap. It was fun, but was also a reminder as to why Assault Turret is better (IMO). I might have to evolve one of those Power Cell Combat Skills I walkways avoid. I know dazk likes Flak Cannon. Maybe I'll try that one. I feel like I could play another PT, definitely NG+, after this. We'll see how I feel after finishing. I am really missing Scott's VA and writing, but the concept floating in my mind is for another Sara. Story of my MEA life: prefers playing as the brother, but can't quit making pretty grills in the CC. If Scott had more interesting CC textures, I might be more inclined to make a bunch of customs. As it is, I have more fun designing Sara but playing Scott. (It's 100% because of the VA and unique lines.) EDIT: Keri wants Sara to cheat on Liam while Liam stands beside the table! I seem to have given her the wrong impression. I must've been deliriously tired when I chose that dialogue.

It got to the stage I was forgetting to use my skills as the Valkyrie was doing to good a job I do love Flak Cannon, especially as I seem to have developed the knack for using to shoot people with rather than just an area of effect shot. Its great for taking down scav's etc dropping from shuttles but its best feature for me is when suddenly surrounded by Wraiths etc. I just shoot it straight down next to me and that has saved my ass a fair few times Yeah I just find it really hard to come up with a good Scott other than the one I tend to just clone and yeah that's another reason I find myself making Sara's cause I end up more invested in them and not reminded constantly all game of any shortcomings in their design like I do Scott. I may not be able to reply for a few hours but did you get a new headphones or are you going to still get a new audio system?

I might get an Arctis headset, since I really want some UHD sound. For now I'm using my PS4 Gold headset. It's actually really good for the price. It's annoying, though, to charge both the headset and controller at the same time. I tried keeping the transmitter/receiver in the rear USB port, but the heat seems to disturb its function. I have no issues when it's up front, but then I can't easily plug in two items for charging. Plus, I only have one 10'/3m cable. First World Problems.

Some more Andromeda today. Reason why I have so many playthroughs going on at the same time is that I have very little focus to start with. So once I feel myself drifting off I tend to switch what I'm doing. Sometimes just a different face is enough, some times it's another game or another medium. Like this Andromeda session started because I was watching youtube and needed to occupy my hands a little. Then ended up getting immersed and stopped watching the video to focus on the game Ollie climbed the Sage tower and had a chat with the inhabitants, but wasn't in the mood for her. Loaded up Eliza and gosh I love her face, despite her being a lizard person. Or maybe because she is a lizard person? She also likes to either shut her eyes or open her mouth on every picture I take of her. Anyways, she cleared the vault on Eos then did expensive extermination on Site 2. Aka, used three Cobra missiles, which are about 2400 a piece, so 7200 credits total. Third one was a bit of a waste, but Vetra and Cora were both down, Kett were shooting bullets at her and Fiend was sneaking in from the right. Since her load-out is sniper rifles only and running around with an anointed sights locked on your bum is suicide, she decided to spend the last one. Then set up an outpost and wrapped up the Eos section of count your dead. Managed to do the Radiation 3 one in one try. Pretty proud of that. Went to the Nexus and realized, there is nobody making me talk to Addison about the AVP stuff. So am going to ignore her for a while, maybe until after seeing the vault on Aya, to see if she sends Ryder a chastising letter. Not that I dislike her, I'm just enjoying the little extra chat bits for some stuff if you do them out of order. Did talk to Scotty and he looks pretty good. A bit plain, but good. Went to Havarl and saved the scientists, then back to the Tempest. Talked to the folks I hadn't talked to yet and finally realized that the screen in Liam's room is probably a picture and not a mini TV. But my head canon that Ryder sometimes goes over there to watch a movie with him still works, they just use the omni tool. Also did some minor crafting. Then went back to Havarl and learned that there is a research station in the first base you can use even without creating an outpost, so that was handy. Saved them Turians and learned that the Lanat (?) sniper goes boom and the Cryo/Fire/Shock upgrade you can add on the leg armor improves the death from above punch into a satisfying elemental punch. No idea why I thought it would activate when you jumped. Then it was time to climb the tower. Scanned the two turian wrecks on the way and nabbed the helmet. Talked to the peeps up top and fast traveled back to base, so next session she can scan her way to the bridge since I was too lazy to activate the fast travel point next to it. So all in all a fun session.

We secured Meridian, defeated Archon and headed back out under stars for more adventure. It's very late here, so I managed to not immediately start a NG+. The last couple of hours are so damn good that it hooks me in every time. I'm never ready for it to end.
I have a really cool Scott to play from my current twins. I also created a new pair of twins the other day that I'd be happy to play. I'll have to decide which, I guess. I am definitely ready for Scott/Tom, as much as I enjoyed this Sara. It was great to hear his voice when he leapt into action aboard Hyperion. His level-1 build and gear sucked, but it was still good to hear his voice and see his face. 😆 I'd forgotten that there is a single part in the game in which I have a decent shot at getting killed-- when the level-1 twin takes the stage with no armor and a phalanx pistol. 😒 If I get greedy, trying to kill those kett too quickly, I can get killed very fast.
If I do start a NG+, I might just keep rolling with my current playstyle: Soldier w/Tactical Cloak and a Valkyrie beam weapon. I'm still enjoying melting everyone and everything with that gun. I'll still be evolving my other Favorites in the background either way. I finished the game with Soldier (Invasion/TacCloak/Turbocharge) active. That Architect-light that Archon awakens was shut down in seconds by the Turbocharged beam weapon. It was what I expected, but still wild to see. That gun is crazy OP.
I hope we get to see this story finished some day. I don't think we'd seen the last of Archon. I'm confident that his mind persists within Meridian. Who were scarier? The "jardaan" or their resistance? I think the angara and kett were each likely to learn shocking things about themselves in the future. Who's this Benefactor, what's the angle, and why is SAM so damn crucial that it partly inspired a trip to Heleus? (The SAM thread surfaces in a novel.)

Shoved Peebee off of me. Recruited Peebee. Fixed the Vault, which instantly cleared the atmosphere and most of its radiation. Recruited Drack. Founded the first real settlement, Podromos. Addison said she was wrong about me but said we weren't all on the same side and that I should be careful. Gave a snide comment that she could be trusted when no one else could. She's still got an agenda and not one I trust.
Ignored most side quests but will get to them. Found a lot of dead bodies and encountered by first Fiend.
That's all for now.

I think the options for ambassador are static but I am not willing to bet my modded Valkyrie on it. I have chosen her every time. I think it could only matter in a second game. More evidence that this was never intended to be a single game. EDIT: Keri wants Sara to cheat on Liam while Liam stands beside the table! I seem to have given her the wrong impression. I must've been deliriously tired when I chose that dialogue. Keri is gross and disgusting. She makes you feel like slime because she specifically wants you to cheat and if you do it...well, I did once and hated the decision. To be fair, though, it was before they fixed the locked in romances and I was involved with five people in that run. However, only Keri made me feel bad.

I started the inevitable NG+ using Scott from my current twins. I almost always play as BrewisRyder when using Scott, even though I've made some good Scotts. Finally, though, I watch this guy and feel, "That's Scott." Certain faces just click. I have a Sara I really enjoy in the same way.
We're just now headed for Eos for the first time. A long road lies ahead. At least I won't have to carry this crappy ass Avenger and Armor with me past this point!

Forgot about the Vault bit on Havarl, so once Eliza had followed the bread crumb bits of turian wreckage to the bridge, she went there instead. Then did the usual stuff, the Roekar camp, monolith and Vault. Forgot how short it was, but at the same time was quite grateful. Also, Eilrochs are the worst. Just so you know. Charlyons are the second worst, but at least they have the decency not to last long. Anyway got the Vault up and running, then back to the Tempest and backdown to officially acknowledge the outpost. Then it was time for some chats and course was set to Voeld. Wandered around the camp for a bit to chat to people, then went to the shuttle and realized I kinda forgot to call Evfra. Awkward. So thinking about doing some quests on Voeld first.
But first, Elias. He went to Voeld having talked to Evfra, so straight into rescuing the Moshae. Didn't destroy the facility but shot the Cardinal. Why are there so many fiends during the extraction? You're too big, there is no room for the three of you D: . Then left Moshae on the Tempest to heal while he helped out on Voeld. Tapped in on some Kett communication, delivered medicine and cleaned out a few Kett camp until I lost interest and called it a day. Been using the Inferno rifle with him and it's quite nice not having to worry about ammo.

I don't mind Keri but last PT I didn't flirt with her at all and still got the option at the end to go back to her apartment!!!!! She's the Liara of MEA. In ME1, it's like "I sense something is going on between you and A/K." "Yep." "But I also sense you have feelings for me." Total tramp trying to ninjamance me. That said, Keri doesn't even have any qualms about asking you to cheat. At least Liara was only hoping you hadn't yet locked in with someone else.

Obviously one has to actually flirt with Keri to get these lines. I've never flirted with her and I've never had her say anything about anyone I was actually romancing, nor try to ninja-mance me in any way. ME1 Liara thinks you want to bang her simply because you are nice and talk to her a couple of times. No flirting required!

I did some more weapons testing about an hour ago. I was really curious about how the Ghost would perform with the Beam Emitter. I also tested the PAW with auto-fire. The Ghost has almost 1000 shots with level 9 clip extension. O_o I could fire for daaaays. The damage was so badly outclassed by the Valkyrie-BE that it was sad. The PAW was even worse. I’d wanted to carry the Ghost if it was somewhat weaker, but not that weak. Bleh.
I wish they had fixed the Ghost. Make the blueprint free in R&D, or else add an augmentation slot. I think free would make sense since it was supposedly going to be Ai standard. Oh, well. It’s too damn weak compared to the Valkyrie, anyway.

ME1 did suffer from nice="interested". It was just more pronounced with Liara. Keri, I don't know. I stay away from her except for interviews. Maybe she's less Liara and more Diana Allers who flirts but then denies it if turned down.

Well, after about a 1000 attempts at getting the hang time achievement, I've moved on with the story and chasing the Archon. I'll try again for the hang time achievement in my next playthrough (I WILL get it someday!!!). I've taken PeeBee and Drack aboard the Archon's ship and just viewed the map to Meridian... and died once to this krogan berserker so far. Drack seems to die more easily in this playthrough... I must have him spec'd differently than the last time.
Progress is slow... mostly because I've been playing a lot of Minecraft with family these days. That world is shaping up rather nicely... just finished our golem farm yesterday.

Did a few side quests on Eos. Also investigated evidence about a murder suspect. While he didn't do it I wouldn't in any way call him innocent like he wanted to claim. "Attempted murder" is also a crime as far as I'm concerned. He still gets exiled.

I tinkered around in the CC, creating several Saras and one pair of siblings. I exported them without truly starting any NGs. They’ll be there in the archive, awaiting more tinkering, when I want them. I definitely like my current Scott, but I might be reaching MEA fatigue. Even my crazy new gun isn’t making me want to jump right back into it, good as the game is. Unlike the MET, I reach saturation after a single PT at this point. To be fair, I’ve played it an insane amount since last year, even if most of that was no more recent than last summer.
I’m really feeling the pull of HZD. That’s such a great game with an almost soothing world. Traveling the forests, fields, deserts, mountains: it all just relaxes me. I think it’s time to revisit HZD. Then, I might even be ready for a NG+ of ACO. One beautiful open world leading to another and all that.
One thing I’d love to see the next ME (optimism!) do is have the scanning application of the Omnitool function like Aloy’s Focus. She opens it and gets a spherical AoE view, as opposed to the narrow perspective of the Pathfinder scanner. If she wants to take a detailed look at something, it’s as easy as looking directly at it. No slow panning with a “flashlight cone” scanner. I have always thought the omnitool is one of the coolest things in SciFi. The focus takes some if its functions and handles them in a better way. I’d like to see the ME team adopt some of its advantages.
EDIT: I hate autocorrect while using BSN. It’s terrible. It actively hinders accurate typing by changing words, adding unnecessary punctuation and failing to actually correct any real typos. Ugh.

What I was saying above is that I didn't choose the flirt option at all in any of the conversations and when we got to the last chat at the bar it still gave me the option to go back to her place.

Benedict Ryder went to Aya and met the Angara for the first time. And then we scanned some planets and went to Voeld to start our adventures there.
