You know... I know how much everyone hates comparisons to The Witcher 3... but now that I'm finally playing, I have an idea in my mind of what a "proper city" could look like. Yeeeaaaah. I only imported one Hawke so don't know about other romances, but some dumb throw away line about how he didn't tell Fenris he was leaving b/c he was afraid he'd chase after him????? SO HAWKE JUST UP AND DISAPPEARED AND FENRIS HAS NO IDEA WHERE HE IS?? I mean really??? *walks around huffing and puffing in a rage* Thanks for bringing all these feelings back  |

Haven't played Witcher 3 but I quite liked the main city in Dragon's Dogma. Maybe not the largest but grand enough. And boy did I love to run on those roofs. And throwing people from the cliffs. My favourite past times. OMG dragon's dogma, i love this game sooooooo much !  A pain the other dragon's dogma game is Online and Japanese only  |

I just wouldn't feel right confronting Solas with anyone other than the Inquisitor and I really don't want the same debacle that we had with Hawke and their dialogue. I like the new game, new protagonist model, but my Solasmancer wants -- NAY NEEDS! -- her honest to goodness, in person closure. But having played Ciri for a while during TW3, I can see more how it could potentially work. |

You all make me want to fire up Dragon's Dogma again. I never got through that "new" expansion part on the island. I went in there once. Got obliterated in about 2 seconds. Ran out, and have not returned. One of these days, though! I've got your number now... I loved the combat in that game. I know it's not for everyone because it can be so chaotic, but that's precisely what I love. It's in your face. It's these large, dangerous creatures. I actually feel nervous when I'm exploring. Great dungeon crawls. And that one creature the Troll, or Cyclops, I think it's a Troll that gets all crazy and ferocious at the smell of women. lmfao. |

The thing about cities is that TW3 is not the first to do great lived in cities. I remember back in the day with Final Fantasy cities. Or Grandia. Great cities were always kind of standard fare. Idk what's going with BW and cities.
Maybe it's just the way I'm made, but whereas I love beautiful settings and environments, things don't get interesting to me until there's some sort of..sentient being in the picture. Another human being/elf/dwarf/qunari..whatever.
For me everything else is just a nice backdrop. The important stuff are these other beings and their cultures, perspectives.

Although I can be content with interesting traces. Little snippets of real peeps that lived or died here and there. There were few things like that in dai but not enough. I loved snippets about exalted march on the dales in the exalted plains (ser brandis anyone?) or bits on the emerald knights. But more is better and I would love more personal stories. From what I've heard TW3 is quite good with such storytelling. The world feels more like a real place. |

So, there are two Cullen threads now? I checked the last few pgs of the Cullen thread on BSN prime yesterday, legit reasons are legit, old guard has dem roots and such. Best of luck to y'all in your new home Cullen fans. Oh and on topic, I only romanced Cullen once, was weirdly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, did not expect that to happen. On cities, I agree the cities in W3 are good. Hell, the cities in WoW that existed back before Burning Crusade were good, it's nothing new. And I'm still not sure I'm ready to really talk about DAI's beards and hair...  |
