Ah, Fjal' also dropped the book and 'angrily' disbanded the Inquisition, but it was less of him throwing a hissy fit and more giving both Orlais and Ferelden the final finger before focusing at the new task at hand, meaning saving Thedas from Soso. It was pretty glorious. And Cass' smile and approving nod while he recited the words she had spoken three years before was a crowning moment of heartwarming.

Just came across this old gem again still makes me laugh... As for making Cassie a Divine when romanced, I did. I only romanced her once tho, it's a bittersweet ending. In hindsight would have preferred to leave her rebuild the Seekers and have her life.

Bro, he's Dalish. It made him furious beyond sense to find out that Solas was a god in his culture that was planning to kill everyone... So, yes, a 'fuck you' was in order for Artemis at the time.

I loved that moment in Trespasser. This scene is just filled with high-leveled sodium for players who romanced anyone other than Sera and Cullen. Cassmancer players may feel the urge to strangle Varric themselves (I know I did). And Solavellan fans should just travel to the Dead Sea and take a large gulp of water from there.

It was a bit of a gut-punch to have Cassandra politely turn us down when we do question whether marriage would be that bad?
I don't think that Varric meant any harm by it though, I think he was actually hoping that it might work and push Cassandra and the Inquisitor to consider taking the plunge. Varric knows Cassandra is the sort of person who's a bit of a workaholic and sometimes needs a swift kick in the backside to motivate her when it comes to pursuing her own happiness.
But Solavellan is awful because you can view it as Cassandra being happy that Lavellan has finally moved on from Solas and found someone else... only to discover that nah, Lavellan is still hung up on that bald fade nerd who broke my her friggin' heart.

I was actually thinking that my Lavellan felt very embrassed by the entire marriage thing - I think he felt like killing Varric for saying what he did, lol. I think it made him cry later on though, when he was alone, lol. I think I made my Lavellan way to soft to be Quizzie...

My Lavellan chose the dialogue option where she mused on the idea of getting married someday.
Of course, she might have daydreamed of Solas returning and taking her hand... but I don't think she mean it literally.

It was a bit of a gut-punch to have Cassandra politely turn us down when we do question whether marriage would be that bad? She didn't really turn down the Inquisitor though, she says herself "It will be a very romantic proposal and I'll act very surprised". She wants the wedding to happen eventually, she's just not sure it was a clever move to get wed at the very event angry people are holding to either assimilate/disband the Inquisition. And honnestly, she's right. And I think Vava was just trolling Cassandra again. Maybe in a good-hearted way, but, yeah.

I loved that moment in Trespasser. I hated that moment in Trespasser. Not Cassandra's reaction, but Varric's action.

sauce I loved that moment in Trespasser. I loved that moment too. It's always fun to see Varric and Cassandra go back and forth, except the heated moment about Hawke. I just love the kind of relationship that they have with each other. Ces always teased Cassandra too when the option was present. My Cadash would had married Cassandra in a heartbeat, but he can wait for a more romantic moment and time in their life.

Despite being really sensitive and having a hot head, yeah, he's like Zev. My Lavellan would've been happy to remarry (first marriage = wife died during childbirth), and I do image they got married after Trespasser though, lol.

In what should prove to be my third full playthrough, my Inquisitor just had the romantic date in the glade with Cass. This romance is very well done. While my PCs do generally have a romantic interest, since I'm all for experiencing all of the written content, I generally am not all that impressed. DAI is different. They've really upped their game. The Josie romance was cute, if a bit staid; and it felt like it plateaued too early. (I could be remembering incorrectly from 2 years ago.) The Solas romance was great for all of the obvious reasons, and because of a few (initially exclusive) extra lore nuggets. Cassandra's romance is just so believable. Her character is strong, brave, beautiful (when she finally relaxes that scowl), and adorable when she finally loosens up. These characters are incredibly lifelike. This game continues to impress me. To clarify, I played the game once at launch, was disappointed, and moved on from it. I decided to try it again a few weeks ago, and repurchased the GotY Edition. The DLCs, and a fresh perspective, did wonders. I hope the writers for MEA are ready to achieve this level of characterization in their game. ME is my first love, and it's gameplay blows DA away, but it's never had writing like this game has. (Obviously, the preceding is all just my opinion. Don't get too worked up if you disagree. )

THE CASSANDRA THREAD LIVES! I was looking for it and thought it died off permanently, hello everyone! I've been agonizing over trying to find the perfect beard for my character for days, because I wanted the romance scene to be perfect, and even though I've seen it a thousand times, I just couldn't bear giving Cass a quizzy with a lame scruff. I had no idea there were more conservative full beards, I somehow missed it all these years?? Anyway I'm happy now, lol and can't wait to romance her for the thousandth time with a proper beard. i.imgur.com/uywLyXJ.pngi.imgur.com/q0jLmGj.png
