what chars do you use? weapons? Cupid with a bow and arrow, obviously. I'd suggest Sol with magic fireballs or Aphrodite with a scepter instead, but that's just me. :rage: Or Artemis and her bow and arrow with lightening fast attack speed and penetration Long time Moby. Lets play smite or mass effect some time

Oh is it time to flex our eDong? Sub-15 Gold PUG. I had just unlocked the Ruzad and wanted to see if it was as bad as everyone says it is (the answer is yes, hence me not even managing a silver shotgun kills medal), but fortunately I had some teammates who were actually intelligent.

The AI is programmed to shoot at a camping player who's focused on guns. If you're standing still, you're playing into the hands of these very dumb AI. If you're moving and playing aggressive, they're toast. For the Remnant and Kett bosses, just stay a little behind cover and shoot it. For the Outlaw's Hydra, just run up to it and beat it. Seriously. A vanguard or adept can easily destroy a Hydra. I played one game where a teammate just ran up to the Kett boss, the ascendant, and kept shooting at the orb 3 feet away, dodging the ball of energy with no fear and killed it. The ascendant is a chump. Kill that orb (which is very easy to do), and he's the easiest mook to kill in the game.

Oh how I've missed these thinly veiled bragging attempts LOL. Not sure who you're talking about. It would be thinly veiled bragging attempts if there was a sense of achievement. Like others have said in this thread, once you figure out the dumb AI, there is no fear of not extracting. ME3 mp was challenging and sometimes gets your heart racing back in the day. Andromeda mp seems more like a punching bag. Just keep punching it. I'm getting more and more disappointed the enemy AI is so non-threatening.

Like others have said in this thread, once you figure out the dumb AI, there is no fear of not extracting. ME3 mp was challenging and sometimes gets your heart racing back in the day. Welcome to PvE. I would say even ME3 wasn't difficult if you knew how to manipulate spawns, knew how enemy defense values worked and knew the sync kill conditions to outright avoid them. This is of course assuming you were also reasonably competent at FPS type games with enough functioning brain cells to comprehend the endless tooltips shoved in your face that explained which abilities/combos are most effective on specific defenses. The only time I personally have felt challenged by ME3 was when it was new and I was lacking an understanding of enemy/boss mechanics. This is typical of PvE games, PvE mobs cannot adapt to you or formulate any intelligent counter strategy once you figure out what they are programmed to do under certain conditions. In that regard ME3 and MEA are the same

I only tried gold once and it was so traumatic that I thought not until I can carry a wave or two, the team I was with wiped on wave 3 before then it was a shit show and we barley made it there. The Pug life is a hard life.

The game has several issues which are more concerning than having a difficulty level above Gold; such as balance, connectivity, matchmaking, disconnecting, crashes, lack of weekend challenges, lack of maps, etc. Overall, Bioware has to have a product that is appealing to as many people as possible, not just the top two or so percent who got to extract on Gold regularly during the first week.

The Kett are mess right now. Silver PUG vs. Kett and wave 6 uploads = guaranteed wipe. Even on bronze they are more challenging than the other two on silver. Of course, people are afraid of using rockets on these difficulties (it might hurt the enemies) or gel (it might resurrect me and then the evil baddies can hurt me again). But yes, the game has several issues, sure more than balance or higher difficulties. But apart from that, it is still a lot of fun

The Pug life is a hard life. I cannot understand where all these bad Pug experience is coming from. I'm playing all pugs, and we're extracting. I don't doubt you. I must be getting lucky with teams. There was one group I joined that was dying a lot, but it was their first time on gold. I picked them up a lot but never had to solo a wave. They said through the mic that maybe gold wasn't for them, but after the 3rd straight full gold extraction, they weren't dying anymore. Gold became easy for them too. They stopped fearing and started seeing how stupid the enemies were. We were having a discussion of how easy gold really was. After a few success, the game slowed down for them. now, I played a lot of me3 and solo'd a lot of platinum. It would be easy for me to think I've figured Bioware out, but it's not just me. If random teams are fully extracting every game, it's the game that easy and not awesome players. people were not fully extracting on gold on me3 early days. I'll bet a week from now, you'll be extracting every gold match. Come back to this thread in a week. I guarantee that everyone on this thread who say they can't extract on silver will be fully extracting on gold in two weeks. Everyone who said that, come back to this thread in two weeks.

I reliably did well on gold and could carry a team back in me3 but I just can't find the DPS in this game, I feel it takes to long to down most enemies on silver. I have been messing around with the Human adept and she is crazy good with combos and can tear through enemies on silver, Ill give it a shot when I get home.

I have been messing around with the Human adept and she is crazy good with combos and can tear through enemies on silver, Ill give it a shot when I get home. Yeah, the human adept is ridiculously good. I haven't played that character yet but played with plenty of them as teammates. That'll be my next character that I'll work on ranking up after I get my kroguard and kineticist to lvl 20. So far, I'm not having a lot of fun with infiltrators. I got my SI to 20 and human inf to 11, but they're not as fun as in me3. Cloak isn't a big advantage in this game. I think bioware attempted to "fix" the balance issue with infiltrators and soldiers in andromeda, and they're not as fun to play with. The soldier concussive shot triggering biotics is fun though. I am no doubt having more fun with biotics in this game. With biotics, the gun is mostly used to finish off the remaining health left from an explosion, and they're staggered so no fear of them killing you. I always carry a light pistol with them. I think the adepts got a huge buff in this game due to how easy it is for them to self generate biotic and tech explosions.

I do believe the lag issue might be a PSN one - it happens to me in every game I've tried online since the last update. oh so its not just me? suddenly psn just...basically stopped working last few weeks. all games are virtually unplayable online now. Nope. Happening to lots of people, and it seem's Asia/Australia have been most affected. It's an issue with the PS4 Software Update and their Wifi - whatever they 'updated' broke it.

Are you running a full group? With my level of gear it's still a struggle to carry a silver PUG, let alone on gold. I know that feeling. Finished a game today... Me, 24k points. Next close 16k. Last place with 12k. Used my Cobras to help with boss mobs and had to use 2 health kits and a life support. It was messy and I was surprised we made it through at all. I couldn't picture trying gold with a pug.

You can join any of my games. I don't usually create games. I just join random pugs. I've played enough ME3 mp and Andromeda that I don't complain about pugs. I've had great luck with pugs. I've had full extraction (all team members) on every gold game except two. My first one and then one game I got sync killed out of nowhere while running and didn't get the option to use revive pack. Unfortunately, the rest of my team then went down and either didn't get revive option or didn't have any packs. I know others complain about sync kills, but I only had it happen one time. I get rubber banding from time to time, but jet pack and dodge a few times usually clears it up.

One time the game was lagging so bad a Fiend teleport three rooms and instantly killed me. Lol. The only one I've really had trouble with, though, is the Ascendents. I've literally seen it coming, tried to jump out and still got caught near instantly.

I agree, to an extent. I find failed gold games extremely uncommon at this point, even with lower level characters and weak(er) weapons. Without a fully kitted out team team, nearly every team I've played with has pulled off an extraction with relative ease. That being said, it's definitely not an easy solo. I played a game earlier with two new level 1's and a level 8 and wave 6 upload was virtually impossible. Maybe it's because there are only 7 rounds? It does come down to how well the players know the map, pulling enemies away during hacks, and being able to some what follow along with the team instead of going off to get kills themselves. Also, it helps when teammates are not stingy with revives and using cobra missiles. As long as you keep moving and not setting up a tent, gold is easily doable. My current APEX rating is at 4.7k and I've played rounds of gold beginning with a lvl 5 character and leveling it up from there. I've only been kicked once by a random team which I was going to leave anyway b/c they were all equipped with vanquishers in an APEX mission which had a modifier for shotguns and half-damage for all other weapons Aside from that time I haven't been kicked so the rating is judged upon, even though it has nothing to do with skill. Just demonstrates you've put in time and are active in APEX missions and other things. I hold my own and normally place 2-3 at the end of a gold round. Bronze and silver, I lead the way
