Update:
Witcher 3 GTFO edition is on sale @50% off for the next for the next 42.5 hours or so. So that's 25 American Dollars.
Question is, would you buy that or Andromeda for $50? (for the sake of argument let's say you could get Andromeda for $50).

Personally, I already have both TW2EE and TWEE. In fact I ended up purchasing 3 copies of W1 back in the day, probably only spent a total of $50 though. I bought the EE because of the debacle of upgrading to the EE from the regular edition. It ended up being better value to spend another $10-20 than try to upgrade the regular edition. And then I bought it on Steam years later, just because.

If you rely on PUGS, I'd get it now: the player base who loved ME3 have already bought it and will be out of bronze if you wait to get it, and nothing about the game encourages SP folks to play the MP, so late adopters probably won't make a second wave.
If you have friends or make them easily, I'd wait to see what balance changes they make. ME3 was rough at the get-go but got considerably better. If they balance as well as they did for ME3, and you can make most of a group on your own, then there's some potential for this game.
I don't like it at all: the environments are too tight, the cooldowns are too long, and the movement sucks. And they took out reave and left in pull, which is just a gigantic wtf moment in a game full of them. Also, gating character development through RNG in addition to manifest maxing just makes everything feels endlessly underpowered. Finally, there are very few good design decisions that I've noticed in the game, and I'm not really confident that these guys can make good decisions with this game.
I'm not saying the game simply sucks; clearly some folks are really enjoying it, and managing to extract is a bit of a thrill. That said, I power up the highly-polished Warframe instead of this almost every time.
I'll take your gauntlets.

If you can't afford it easily wait a bit longer. Game is already on sale at some places. I just got an email offering me a 25% discount on an Origin CD Key that costs 37.99€ right now. And it's legit, I have ordered quite a few keys at that site and never had any problems. Wouldn't be surprised if you can pick up a copy/key for around 20 bucks pretty soon.

It's kinda meh. Not quite as fun as ME3 was. The grind feels like it'll be much worse, and I don't think I'll be interested in the game long enough to see it through. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't buy it. you don't like mindless mining?

I definitely don't recommend buying Andromeda.
I think I could overlook the bugs and the terrible UI and the fucking awful RNG and the many, many issues relating to balance if the core gameplay was at least half as enjoyable as ME3 but it isn't even close.

As someone who has been gifted a copy, but also bought 2 extra copies (for modding/research purposes), don't bother. I haven't fired up multiplayer in 2 days (am already APEX 5k rating and soloed gold) because of how boring it gets. The combat is pretty decent (although clunky/unpolished, poor execution but great ideas), but... there's no content. Once you've played all the maps, you've played the whole thing. There's no physical progression, once you camp a spot, you "master" that map forever. It's just so empty. At least in DAIMP, you'd progress through doors everytime you'd finish a wave, here, you just camp the same spot for 15 minutes, clear waves and finish the mission. Grind and repeat. No variety.

I would also have to say don't bother.
I haven't played much but I'm already bored with it before getting my first character to 20.
The general problem? Lacks variety and maps. And bad performance. The game is stuttering so much for me I'm constantly missing my shots. I think it's the bad performance that really makes it unenjoyable for me, on top of really poor selection of small, boring maps. Than there is the grind and all that else that others have mentioned. I'll keep trying but meh.

That said, I power up the highly-polished Warframe instead of this almost every time. I'll take your gauntlets. You took it right out of my mind - just when I was playing today I was thinking "hey, this movement and combat style really reminds me on Warframe. Except that Warframe does it much better." And I got burned out on Warframe long ago, much earlier than I did on ME3 - I would still play ME3 today but I'm done with Warframe. And I got burned out on MEA in the first week. And, like, it's funny how much of a downgrade the MEAMP seems, it really is more like Warframe now - hell, even the Kett design principles are way too similiar to Grineer. They really remind me on Grineer so much, from their physiology, environments all down to weapons. And they are both so similar now that I'd almost rather play Warframe where I'd get so much more content and variety out of it compared to what we get in MEA. I always prefered ME3 over Warframe because the combat style was more down to the ground, and all powers and weapons felt a lot more impactful. They're just taking a step back now with that, with things that you mentioned. The truth? I think I'm going to start playing ME3 soon again.

Jury is out depending on what the first patch looks like and how long it takes for it to happen. Critical items:
- crashing to desktop - sound crashing (restart to fix) - very spotty player and enemy movement for clients - very picky climbing mechanic - poor weapon balance, mostly absurd bullet spread, and power/combo damage - mostly useless weapon charging mechanic

I haven't played the game yet but I did see a couple reviews and gameplays and while it seems like a fun game, compared to the original fun series that was Mass Effect, this one seems rather uninspired and generic to me.
For one thing, the facial animations seemed to have as much subtlety to them as the ones from a 90's arcade shooter. I'm also heavily disappointed in the apparent lack of any alien species that is truly different especially given that we're going to an entirely new galaxy. Penguinz0 did a review that I find sums it up pretty well for the SP;
As for the MP, there's the rather disturbing absence of both the High Lord Claymore as well as the Krogan Backhand of Justice! Nah ah, no bueno, no bang!
Also, send me socks.

I'm completely hooked by the SP now. I was really disappointed at first in the beginning but honestly, right now, it's the best in the series imo, it gets better and better and I can't stop playing, no joke. They nailed it on almost every aspect for once, it's incredible. The mp is fun too but me3 was better for me on that regard, it's still fun though. Yeah,I like SP too,but sadly can't find time to play it. Grind is real.
