Stay away from Gold if you can't handle it

Just carry son; it means you will level up much faster.

The APEX mission lobbies are like that, but not regular R/R/G lobbies, in my experience.

APEX lobbies are full of players straight out of SP, where you can click on a console while playing the story and jump straight to MP. Gold MP, at that, with such fun modifiers as +1000% enemy melee damage. Without any sort of warning that they should die in play the tutorial first, and then move on to the Bronze missions before attempting the higher difficulties.

I get that biower badly wanted more SP players to try the MP, but the way it's set up, I get the feeling that if anything, it's going to further alienate them.

Very poor design.

Play with friends. If you don't have some, make some. Keeping your mic on during games will usually net you one solid, communicating player every 3 matches. By the end of a two hour play session, you've made two to three friends. An even better scenario is if they incorporate you into their circle of friends. Before you know it.. you won't have to suffer those randoms ever again.

I really wish they level locked silver and gold. I'm fed up of level ones with an Apex score of 200 thinking they have what it takes to jump straight into gold and even silver.

I run golds at lvl 1, but my apex rating is around 4000 and Im usually outplaying most 20s even at lvl 1. I actually got into an argument with 1 random cause he messaged me gtfo and I didnt and beat him in points. Lvl 4 Logan vanguard had more points than a 20 on gold. Lvls don't mean shit until platinum. It's all in the skill.

How does these apex missions work? I can choose and customize my loadout just as by any regular mp game?

I don't believe Gold should be level locked at all. My friends and I play with level 1-5 characters on Gold pretty consistently now.. because earning XP and credits is fun. This is why I don't have a single level 20 character yet.. and only two over 18. I'm still experimenting with everything.. and I'd like to get paid while I do it.

This is pretty spot on. It's mostly about the haves and have-nots as far as weapons and consumables go. You're only going to go as far as your gear can take you. Playing a level 1.. fine.. slap on the Herpicane, level 3 pistol amp, level 3 ammo.. and you'll be fine.

Nuke is damn right about powers. I don't even know why I try to do combos anymore.. the investment in DPS just doesn't justify it. Am I doing it for text on the screen, flashes and noises? Am I really that dumb? Perhaps.. because it damn sure isn't paying out in making stuff dead.

The only thing that even resembles skill IMO is sniping, since there's little to no aim assist.. and on console, that's rough for a lot of people.

Lol. I was wondering why the apex lobbies were so terrible. I haven't played the campaign much.

Where else am I gonna get carried? Silver?
