RNG Lottery: the game (Now with 10x more rng!)

when you only look forward to finishing a match so you can spend even more $$ in the store lottery, you know something has gone seriously wrong (or right).

Did you not play ME3MP?

I know the character cards now work a little differently, but weapons work exactly the same. It took me over a year to get my first Krogan soldier in ME3MP.

Personally, I like the RNG. I like that all my friends have all different characters and weapons unlocked. Wanting something specific and not getting it just gives me something to look forward to.

I dont feel the packs are too expensive, nor are good items currently dropping too infrequently for my interest to dip. Eventually ill get bored, but hopefully thats where regular DLC kicks in to refresh it.

It doesn't bother me, but I really enjoy playing different things. Kroguard aside I have to switch kits every five matches or so to spice things up. This sadly does not work nearly as well now that all of the adepts/soldiers/etc are not linked together

This, DAMP's rng system was utter garbage. When I get a shit weapon in MEAMP ten times, then it's maxed and I'll never get it again. If I get a purple weapon ten times in dragon age, then I'll have ten purple weapons until I get my eleventh. That game trolled the hell out of me with Longbows of the Griffon.

And don't even get me started on the mmorpg grind that was killing nightmare dragons for hakkon weapons. I killed hundreds of them and never got the greatsword.

Still better than DAMP.

Well, I know if I play it long enough, I would eventually get everything I want. There is that, yes, also I already feel shortage of fereldan officer longbows and am itching to get more and more of these so I can click 6 times to salvage it and 12 times to craft some blue gauntlets for my arcane warrior.

can anyone explain this? why do I need to unlock everything 10 times? since we're at it, why not 100 times (hopefully in a dlc)?

it only deters you from playing with whatever you unlock until that particular unlock becomes rank x. e.g. not investing time into a rare class until rank x as you won't be able to create a full build out of it.

Honestly, many of the better guns will outclass your common Xs even at I or II, so I don't really find this to be true.

It won't be the best it can be, but depending on build, it can definitely be worth using a non-fully upgraded weapon, imo.

Mostly, TBH, it does not matter much, buffs for majority of the guns from level I to level X are not so significant. So, instead of creating a build, just maybe try to play the game with whatever you have? It is not that difficult even for me even with my katana X or falcon II. But I got revenant to rank V. Tried it out, same pea shooter as it were at rank I, no difference that I was able to notice.

I can use both UR kits and weapons at rank I on gold effectively. Your argument is invalid.

I don't think the RNG / Progression in MEA is that bad at all...

Each gold game you get 50,000 credits. That's an expert pack per game, with at least one rare.

Personally, got all my commons in less than 20 gold games?

Does anyone know the item totals for each category? Would be pretty simple to calculate how many completions it will take for a maxed manifest...

I highly doubt it will be anywhere near as frustratin as DAMP's never ending quest for BS.

First we hunted the Sulevins or Caliban tier. Then Dragon weapons. Then Descent and Hakkons. Then the 27's, PI amulet and Crescent Shadow.

1000's of Hakkon Dragons...

I would be surprised if the total gold completions needed for a maxed manifest is more than 1000 gold completions.
