I´m at Eos and its just overwhelming with all the collect x amount of this and that. I enjoy those side-quests with conent like that first murder. But those fetch-quests are all over the map. We really need some kind of way to turn those of on the map. Journal is just another nightmare, how difficult is it to create side-missions under every planet(or location) just like DAI?

Create a new game, and ignore them AAALLL!!! Or use a marker on your screen to cover over the "Additional Task" folder. On a serious note, would be neat with a "cancel" task option for the somewhat OCD minded people.

Kids. Back in the day we didn't have these fancy journals, and if you wanted a map you drew it yourself.

Basically quests that fall into the additional tasks category can be ignored. If you stumble onto them sure go ahead but otherwise no point in wasting time over it.

I finished the game after 76 hours (97 percent complete) and made sure I crossed of all quest marks on all maps. Just some 'collect X this, and X that' are left. Some filler missions are still pretty good.

Kids. Back in the day we didn't have these fancy journals, and if you wanted a map you drew it yourself. You talking video games or reality? 'Cause I got an iPhone and I ain't be drawin no maps no more. BTT: A toggle for map markers would be appreciated, although I ahve to say, it's already pretty good IMO that a lot fo the tasks don't have quest markers at all. That's what I want, design quests again that don't need markers but that we can solve by really exploring the environment.

There should be an ignore function that slaps any mission you want to into a separate folder (which you can retrieve from if you want) while turning all the markers off (and maybe even game interactions?).

Just ignore them all, best option!
I'm doing insanity on my newgame+ and only doing priority missions, as I'm level 65+ assuming cap is 80.
The side tasks can become quite bothersome as I thought I had finished them all, only to stumble across more by random.
But like the other games, yeah there's a lot. Is very time consuming imho, most of my time played is just finishing them!

Some of the additional tasks have some neat filler stuff in them, but nothing drastic. I agree that they're mostly fluff and quite easily ignored, but I tend to do a few of 'em here and there as I roam around each planet. I just stop and go on to the next, meatier quest when I start getting a little "burnt out" on the filler stuff.

By the endgame it'll be a large but not huge list, due to doing them as I go along. Then I can do most/all of the remaining ones then, and if any remain after that (especially Architect fights), those can be done post-game while waiting for DLC.

I just finished 100% EOS. Which fetch quests? I never got the feel that there was any fetch quests outside the "Scan Minerals" the scientists give you from Nexus. Thats on numerous planets though.
Im just trying to get clarity on what these fetch quests are? It seems like every other RPG I've ever played. Especially the newer ones like W3, where the side quests actually effect the world you are doing them in.

Unless I fall over them I am not going to hunt down rocks/plants to scan so I can understand being annoyed by all the left over quest markers on the maps. It can be frustrating mousing over the map (and waiting for the quest description to pop up) to check which order to do the missions only to find every second one is a damn hitting rocks quest. I don't care if they sit in the journal.. its the map clutter that bugs me.

Im just trying to get clarity on what these fetch quests are? It seems like every other RPG I've ever played. Especially the newer ones like W3, where the side quests actually effect the world you are doing them in. Agreed. I'm still chugging away, approaching level 70, and haven't even done two loyalty missions and two other major arcs, yet. (It's a thoroughly completionist playthrough.) I've never come across any great number of quests I'd call simple "fetch quests". Maybe there were a few, scattered about, but I can only think of one off the top of my head. I'm thoroughly impressed by how well these quests blend with the world and story. As a big fan of TW3, I feel that they are every bit as good as TW3's vaunted quests. I'm really loving this game. I think the issue is in how people approach gaming. If one tries to chase down quests as soon as they pop into the journal, it will quickly become tedious and overwhelming. If one waits for the ideal opportunity to address the quest-- decidedly narratively for some quests, by map location for others-- then it's likely to be more enjoyable and stress-free.

Just ignore everything that goes inside the "tasks" part of the journal, and you'll be avoiding the vast majority of the more pure fetch and scanning quests.

people are saying the tasks can be ignored but anyone else getting the sense many of these will have ramifications down the line, later in the series, least that's the impression I got.

There were many interesting characters and stories amongst the minor quests. Seeing a few of those people or stories continued would be fun.

They've already said it's a standalone game - so no, your choices don't matter long-term. They don't matter short-term either as you can't alter the main storyline at all. Any choices you do make, are just there for flavor (ie. drop this guy off a cliff or not), and to give you the illusion of choice. Your 4 dialogue choices are just 4 different ways to say "yes" and go along with the path Bioware's outlined for you to follow. www.gamespot.com/articles/mass-effect-andromeda-is-not-the-start-of-a-new-tr/1100-6445250/
