For all the fanfares Sloane got as outlaw leader and former head of Nexus security her death by sniper is the stupidest shit. I could barely believe she would actually agree to have "an honour duel" in a place she doesn't control and didn't check for traps.

Hehe. Yeah. "Honor" ... on a planet with no honor at all whatsoever. That truly is a good one indeed. Also, to everyone else, if you got the scene with the whole sitting on the ledge having a convo thing, then don't complain about it. Seriously. You ONLY get that scene if you made certain conversation choices - I.E. romancing or trying to have your head up the guy's arse. If you didn't want to have a scene with the two of them bonding, then quit bonding with the guy. Stupidest complaint ever, that. "I hate the scene with them bonding even though I tried my best to bond with the guy." I swear sometimes, this is the same group of folks that sue McDonald's for hot coffee or making them fat LOL.

You only need, scientifically speaking, 10,000 individuals of each species to have enough genetic diversity for successful propagation. So unless you kill half of all humans in Andromeda on Kadara, then it's fine. Bioware following science and population genetics! That's not even taking into consideration that they could have brought frozen embryos or other genetic material for cloning or artificial insemination. So I think they will be just fine in Andromeda. Bioware is not bad at writing. OP is just bad at science. Wrong Think about it

Hey that coffee lady shouldn't be lumped in that group. She actually had to get extensive surgery and wanted to be compensated for the medical expenses, which came to about $20k, but when McD said fuck off with their piddly $800, she took them to court. That's some crazy shit to happen from a cup of coffee.

There's 0 reason they can't have a crapton of freeze-dried eggs and sperm stored in banks on the Hyperion or the Nexus. With that database to ensure genetic diversity, you don't really need that many people to maintain a viable population. And as evidenced by Gil's friend Jil, they are actively pushing for people to start propagating already. There's going to be a higher than replacement birthrate.

Killing Milky Way personnel in kadara is still retarded. Consider the facts: >all the Milky Way residents on Kadara except for Keuteus came from the nexus >the nexus housed 20,000 individuals >some died because of the scourge and the uprising >we kill loads of exiles (our people) on kadara, in particular humans MEA has a nifty stats menu and thus far I've killed about 324 outlaws, now let's say that half of them were Milky Way outcasts/collective. Now divide 162 with 20,000(real number is much lower), that means I effectively culled 0.81% of Milky Way species from the nexus. So basically humans are going extinct amongst other Milky races because of poor writing. It makes kadara contextually poor and scatterbrain since you're slaughtering Milky Way species, thus destroying the ability for the initiative to actually thrive. We can chalk this up as Bioware being lazy again in the writing department. You know if they made the number of people in the initiative higher than 100k it would have made a bit more sense. You can never, ever, look at real logistics in a Bioware game. Not sure why you tried after the Cerberus army in ME3.

I thought about it. I don't see how it's wrong, though. Explain, please? I could very well be wrong, but I'm just not seeing it. No, you are right. But ... even more important ... this is just a game and people are taking the role-play way too seriously. But, in a real world scenario, you are correct. You only need one male and female to propagate the species ... they even have an entire mafia religion here on Earth based on just that notion

I think of humans as naturally panicked, angry, and violent creatures who are very dangerous in survival situations.
So that I think in an obvious "We're all going to die" situation like the Nexus was in, that they reacted realistically.
Perhaps even TOO reasonably.
