I never played vanguard before in any ME. But, I would like to try it out since I've seen vanguards on gold get top score constantly. So, what the best build? I have both human and krogan at x and have the piranha shotgun.

For the humie vanguard set skills to boost the shild, radius and weapon/melee damage, leave shockwave alone, get yourself a Hurricane and CHARGE! |

Saving barrier rank six on the barrier passive for human vanguard can prevent sync kill deaths. Been too busy laughing my way through gold to care about the krogan... I've heard it has its fans though. |

The Kroguard is arguably tankier with Fortify and Rage....BUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTT it's slow as molasses with Fortify on, which I end up finding makes the Human Vanguard feel like she's easier to keep alive.
I also specced the 75 percent recharge speed on the Human and the full shield recharge on the Kroguard for Biotic Charge, and I think the recharge speed is the better option. Charging more is better than more shields.

Unless you have a really good gun, you should pretty much be on permanent trash duty. Leave the super heavies to Vanquisher nerds. The only time you should be hitting them is when trying to draw their attention because your 3x vanquisher team apparently can't aim.
3-4 mooks will kill one of your tunnel visioning snipers in a hurry, so it's your job to make sure that they are either dead, on the ground from nova, or are shooting you.
Learn to abuse invincibility frames on Nova, Charge, and your shield-break moments.

Yeah, I'd believe that on the Kroguard. I would be curious to see the exact timing of how much the 75 percent evo helps recharge, it certainly feels like my human is able to charge a lot more often than my Krogan, but it's not anything I've tested. |
