....because I loved the final mission sequence. The revelations about everything, Scott and Sara working together, the Remnant, Meridian. The Archon was as cheesy as every Bioware antagonist ever in the last 10 years - really, can't you do something about that next time - but I liked how everything played out apart from that. An on top of that....the unheard-of: a boss fight I actually liked.
This game is really *very* different from ME3 - the good parts are all around the end. So, Bioware, please make another ME game. But for god's sake, hire some SF writers if you don't have them in-house. And make some alien aliens. And fewer quests that feel like chores.
So, what did everyone else think about how things played out?

Depends on how much of the filler content you want to play. There are also some loyalty missions you can only finish after the Archon ship mission. The parts I like are all about Meridian, the missions called "Meridian: xxxx".

The archon ship mission is unlocked, but I still have loyalty missions and the krogan planet to do. How close am I to finishing the game after I board the Archons ship? I 99% my first play-through, doing everything possible in game first before continue the "priority missions" I really screwed myself towards the end not scanning enemies for Aid Apex. So no 100% (I was too into the moment) My second play-through, I wanted to see how quickly I could finish the game, about 25 hours in, 56% complete. Meridian is ours, and I'm doing everyone's loyalty missions afterwards. Triggering them is a tad more difficult at this point, but not impossible. It will say, I believe on two occasions, that this mission you will undertake is the "ultimate end" but you may still continue with no pressure to explore and do anything/everything. Now on-topic, the ending is well done. It's intense. And it leaves so much open, which it should. How can it end after one game? Impossible. Bioware knows what they are doing, they know how great the Trilogy was, and they will keep this legacy going, Spectre, Pathfinder, OVERLORD?! Edit: It's the Andromeda galaxy, we've only touched the tip of the iceberg in the Heleus Cluster.

Yeah I want to see what happens next. Maybe in the next game we can expand out of Helius. We were spoiled in the Milky Way with the Mass relays. Unless they find something like the relays we won't even see a fraction of Andromeda since it is twice the size of the Milky Way. I would love to find out the extent of the Kett's reach or find out what happened to the Jaardan.

After you "scare off the Archon" Ryder mentions on many occasions, as well as others, that the Kett are still a serious threat, we still have not seen a full scale attack from them, and it should be coming.

If that isn't a spitting resemblance to Shepard's reaper dialogue at the end of ME1, I don't know what is.

Maybe in the future, the Kett allies with us and we take out the next Reaper threat together, and then we turn on the Kett Hint, hint, certain Salarian(s)

If so, where can I see it? I have two quests apart from the "additional tasks" I haven't finished: the angaran relics quest (I don't have the slightest motivation to scour two more planets for artifacts without any hint of where they may be) and killing the architect on Voerd (a time-consuming semi-boss fight at hazard level 2, no thanks). BTW, why isn't the hazard gone?

I am the type of player to go over every square inch of a planet, and go to any ? I see.

I liked the end very much.
It's also nice that you can fast forward through the credits at x2, x4 or x8. Not seen that before, although I don't suppose they're the first game to do it. You get a cut-scene after the credits, but I'm not sure if you'd also get it if you just skipped them.

BTW, why isn't the hazard gone? The Architect on Voeld is actually rather easy in a way because you can take shelter in the buildings and that means you have an easier time hiding from it and its attacks. That's how I did it on my sniper. I admit I cheated on the relic quest because I decided to look some of them up. If I recall correctly, it takes time for the vaults to fully transform worlds so on Voeld, the temperature is rising but it'll take years before the weather hazard is fully gone.

Meridian? It was ok I suppose. Too bad the archon didn't destroy the nexus and the other arks when taking the Hyperion. Or kill everyone and have the Nexus for a base of operations. So ends the Andromeda Initiative.

I play an Infiltrator as well, but I still resent the time I have to spend with random fighting that has no purpose except to waste my time. There are enough other time sinks that aren't much fun in the game, I don't need to add to it by engaging infinitely respawning random stuff. Also, I don't like that all too many fights that actually matter - those in the main plot sequence - are designed in a way that I can't keep my distance, but that's another story.

Can't lie.
I'm in and out the spoiler section because of all the things. The possibilities are huge and they can really launch from here with some effort.
Seems the first game will always be at a disadvantage storywise until the second comes out. Which is true of ME1 its not till later on the games choices become important to the story.

Heh, I imagine whatever space magic that undoes Eos' radiation could at least be handwaved a bit, but a drastic increase in temperature on Voeld that could melt not-Hoth within a short period of time would probably be lethal.

It just feels like the Archon personality changed completely. I do agree that everything else was amazing. I just enjoyed exploring and forming alliances to make outposts way more exciting than the actual main story.
