Just had a couple of thoughts after completing the game and I wanted to get other peoples opinions on a question I've been wondering about since, so bear with me I'm new here So my main question is obviously, Did the Jardaan know about the existence of the Reapers? Throughout the game we come across the Monoliths that give stable living conditions for life on the planets they are on...then when we find what we thought was Meridian (the Massive Remnant Space Station!) it turns out that the Anagrans were created by the Jaardan, an unseen people that came before and were the the creators of the Remnant technology we see in Andromeda. This thought of mine kept striking me after that revelation that the Angara were made... The Jaardan are creators of living organic terrestrials....the complete opposite of the Reapers Intentions i.e to purge all organic life. Was this their solution to a possible threat in the future? I'll be honest, I can't see this happening, just thought it was a strange anti-thesis to the last 3 games. But hey-ho! I'd rather ask and see what others think! Tbh, I highly doubt the Reapers have anything to do with the Andromeda galaxy...but you never know. The Reapers retreated to Dark Space after every purge, but then who's to say the Milky Way was their only hunting ground Let me know your thoughts please! Note: I understand my thoughts don't explain the Scourge....haha

We have been chatting about this in the Jaal thread. Jaal himself said he has memories of being in the Meridian core, so we know that's most likley where they were created, and the Angara also can't live well without the sun, and it reminds me of battery needed to power a machine.
As for the Reapers, we did have one Angara say they felt that whatever we were running from will follow us to Andromeda, so it could lead to a connection, but I think since MEA wants to do the opposite of the trilogy, the Jaardan are simply the opposite of the Reapers, but with unknown intentions. My guess is they are AI's, like the Angara AI we found. Also the statue we find on Voeld, both Jaal and Avela say it looks Angaran but not quite, so we think the Jaardan made the Angara from their own appearance, though altered slightly.

I literally only joined BSN tonight so I haven't read many threads, I'll have to look at that one! But yeah, my idea was a little out there but I get to see what others think, I didn't think Bioware would connect both games with the main antagonist of the Main Trilogy overtly as you said the Andromeda is the opposite of what Bioware did with the Main 3, but thank you! AI's is a good shout, didn't think of that, even after finding the one on Voeld!

Yeah we also learned the Scourge was likely used by the enemy to attack the Jaardan, who extracted Meridian to protect their work.

Reapers, as far as we know, weren't capable of long, deep space travel. They still needed Mass Relays to move about the Milky Way in a reasonable fashion. We don't know exactly how far they went into dark space. That being said, Andromeda isn't the closest galaxy to the Milky Way either, so it's unlikely.
Given the Catalyst's focus was entirely on maintaining order and stability in the Milky Way, I doubt it ever had any intention of exerting its warped cycle system of "preservation" on other species outside the Milky Way. Not to mention, I get the sense that the Scourge would likely rip through Reaper technology.
We honestly don't know enough about the Jardaan to know if they are still alive, if they are capable of intergalactic travel, and whether they are friendly or hostile. I'm under the impression the Jardaan created the Scourge. Perhaps the Scourge is the Jardaan's version of the Reaper solution in order to keep their own technology in check? Perhaps it's another situation of something gone wrong much like the Leviathan with the Catalyst. Who knows?
Welcome to the unofficial BSN, by the way.

Can't go wrong with a bit of Rem-tech!...Until it tries to kill you haha! Still, it seems they've set up the Kett up for whatever comes next...they actually have a senate!?

Either it was out of craving power or fear I'm guessing that their enemies attacked.

True, I can't see why the Reapers would venture out that far, after all, the Leviathan's homeworld (Dis) was in the Milky Way and thats where all the trouble began, they wouldn't see a reason to...broaden their horizons! Once again true, I was hoping we'd get a little more insight to the Jaardan it's enemy and the scourge, but then that would take out a lot of what the future games will have in store. The Scourge is a very potent force from what we've seen, even making wild animals go crazy; Like the asteroid on Voeld that was giving out a signal and corrupting the organic life around it. But as you said, who knows! Thank you very much for the welcome!!

I agree I believe it's a weapon of the enemy, it doesn't seem to be under any control, which I think makes it more dangerous, and it's creators...

They could go either way and it would work. If it was an experiment that went out of control that could have some interesting implications. If it was a weapon from another race that means there was/is something worse out there than the Kett.

Weird shit went down during the trip. Yea this is why we need a timeline. I have no idea how old the Angara are and when the Jaardan created them. Its reasonable to say the Jaardan had a presence in the rest of the galaxy so I wonder if they are in hiding or are wiped out by whatever created the scurge assuming it wasn't them.
