What? I don't know but only choice for me was not to get bad guys go with virus that can kill all Initiative species. I'm really sad for the lady but she had to go. I can't risk taking her on Nexus when she might infect everyone. And I try not to think how stupid shuttle thing was. I don't know who wrote it. It's ridiculous.
In another room of the building there is a cryo pod. Ryder makes a comment when you scan it.
Maybe, but you don't get that option at the beginning. elanor means when you first confront the angara that has the gun to her back.

That mission annoyed me because, how, exactly, did a very sick person manage to get through security, and navigate her way through 5 systems ahead of the Tempest in a SHUTTLE? She was like Han fucking Solo on a Kessel run. I'm not even sure we got to confront the moron who brought her to Andromeda in the first place. When that Roekaar moron took her hostage I regret there wasn't an action button to laugh. They need to better understand leverage.
She wasn't leaving this planet alive after making me chase her through gods know how many systems and her very existence threatens all Milky Way life in the galaxy. Better yet... An interrupt which allowed Ryder to shoot the roekarr through the hostage, killing both. Ryder could then say, "You were saying?"
There was no way I was letting her live. She never should've been aboard, and certainly wasn't getting back aboard as a plague-incubator.

I hate this mission so much and it perfectly demonstrates the BS padding the game is loaded with. Borrowing a post from neogaf to show what i mean:
Here's the thing, they don't need to reinvent anything to make the open world stuff work, they just need to take into consideration how many non-story related steps are required to actually complete the content you're engaged in. I've already illustrated the steps required to go anywhere but lets take the Contagion quest as an example. I don't think the writing in this one is bad- on the contrary I really liked it and that unto itself is part of why the travel mechanics getting in the way annoyed me so much. Once you've completed the requisite steps on nexus to track Ruth down, you're asked to follow her shuttle into space- okay fine. Then you have to fly to not one, but 5-6 systems in following her trail. Let me illustrate what that actually entails: Hold E to board nexus hold E to open galaxy map hit space to zoom out from the nexus hit space to see the cluster overview click on the first system watch the ship fly there right click to scan for ruth's trail launch probe click anomaly fly to trail/ hit tab to skip click to scan/gather data hit space to zoom out to system view hit space to zoom out to cluster view click on the second system watch the ship fly there right click to scan for ruth's trail launch probe click anomaly fly to trail/ hit tab to skip click to scan/gather data hit space to zoom out to system view hit space to zoom out to cluster view click on the third system watch the ship fly there right click to scan for ruth's trail launch probe click anomaly fly to trail/ hit tab to skip click to scan/gather data hit space to zoom out to system view hit space to zoom out to cluster view click on the fourth system watch the ship fly there right click to scan for ruth's trail launch probe click anomaly fly to trail/ hit tab to skip click to scan/gather data hit space to zoom out to system view hit space to zoom out to cluster view click on the fifth system watch the ship fly there right click to scan for ruth's trail launch probe click anomaly fly to trail/ hit tab to skip click to scan/gather data hit space to zoom out to system view hit space to zoom out to cluster view Click on Kadara's system Watch the ship fly in Click on Kadara Watch the ship land click on the lift to go to the slums run out of the slums manually to the badlands fast travel from the badlands to the nearest forward station drive to find her crashed shuttle track the footsteps of whomever took Ruth deal with Roekaar
Quests in general if they need to be continued on a different zone need to at least offer to take you to the next point of interest or somewhere close to continue the quest. It becomes a major pacing issue if you have to go through ridiculous steps that contribute fuck-all to the story to be able to get to actually play the game part of the game. The story of having to contain a cross-species disease is fine, good even, even better when the idea of the Roekaar trying to weaponize it comes into play. But Bioware needs to find a way to channel you between points of interest with far more efficiency because what they've got right now is not working for me.

This quest made me want to bitchslap the hell out of Dunn.
She's got this urgent situation and all she does is send an email to Ryder, then waits til Ryder eventually, possibly, maybe shows up to deal with it?
She should have gone to Kandros and the situation would have been fixed before Ryder even got around to checking his/her emails. But no, this was a Hyperion only issue, because of reasons... I wanted to slap her so bad.

I wanted to slap her so bad. To be fair, most of what Ryder do on the nexus/settlement would be done by APEX/security. And the same can be said about many of our decisions that we make that are over our pay grade (we do get paid right?) It is a sad reality of gaming.
