By definition it's only sexist if you hit a woman because she's a woman. If you do it for any other reason it's just equal treatment.

Pretty much this.  I never grew to LIKE her, but by the end of the game, she'd kinda earned a level of grudging respect from me.  She's a bit of a dick at times, and it really shows at the beginning, but she starts to lighten up as more and more outposts start working.

Meh, I have a hard time forgiving her for letting Spender run roughshod over Kesh and her engineering team which Addison knew about (at least to some extent) and did nothing because supposedly he was good at his job. Or something. Anyone who picks on my krogan's...

Also the whole "I want to be your friend now that being you friend is now politically useful" after you set up the outpost on Eos really frosts my cookies.

Although a couple of times I was on her side. Her initial mandate to Dr. Kennedy about having children I agree with. And what she says about giving up political power the angara when you choose the Moshae Sefja as ambassador.

Considering his reaction after he ends up with Spender's job, I think he'd probably turn into the next big bad if we could do that...

She fucked up with Spender.  She eventually acknowledges it, after you throw the evidence in her face.

Agree on Ryder's dad, though I think that was frustration that, after the disasters to date, they didn't even have a trained pathfinder.  Fear was talking.
What you saw as "power" I saw as "inability to do her job without colonies".

Tann was fine.  He's really a racist (against krogan) but he's Ryder's biggest supporter.  He'll even admit he was wrong in trying to keep the pathfinders from doing one particular mission.

If I had to choose a responsible party for that death, I'd go with Spender himself.  That guy was power hungry, even presenting himself to Morda as "Chief of Staff" (when he was actually simply Addison's assistant).

And, really, given the disasters that the Nexus hit, I completely understand why she let someone who was making her job easier stick around - when your headache is the size of a gas giant, anyone offering you even the slightest reprieve is appreciated and you don't look the gift horse in the mouth. It's certainly understandable, even if it rightly bit her in the ass - I doubt I'm going to roll a Ryder who isn't on board with Addison being the one to own the responsibility for that, as opposed to yet another cover up.

Really, the whole situation on the Nexus is a mess to start with, which is what happens when the top seven officials for the Initiative end up dead before the lights are all turned on and the arks, meant to supply more power for the Nexus to let them keep building and develop the colonies, end up over a year overdue. For all her bluster, Addison's really just trying to keep her head above water while everyone is out of their depth and it's a question in everyone's mind if they've taken part in the biggest boondoggle in history, ending up with 100,000 dead because of a few people's hubris in thinking they could settle another galaxy.

If anything, that'd be evidence for why Addison ISN'T responsible for Jien Garson's death - that's something that would be intentionally making a BIGGER headache for her.
