I don't know what to say about all this except that I don't know what to say.
On another subject, I just changed my forum 'theme' to "Dark" and it looks much, much better. It is probably the most significant, positive change to the greater Mass Effect experience that I will undergo today. In the profound words of my country's Twitter obsessed, well-read, intellectual, popularly elected, small-fingered President, "So sad."

A 1.11 GB patch. Well, something in there has got to be good. Right? ....right?! Patch notes: .98 GB directed towards enhancement of Turian looks and overall swagger. They are now OP in looks and update 1.06 will address the other characters. Wat? They already were!Vetra

To defend BioWare on this, it is very early in the game so to speak. They have to tailor changes to the whole player base and not just the elite on here who are soling gold after 4 days. It can be better to make slower corrections over time than to get into the whole nerf buff nerf buff thing that happened in a few case in me3mp There's nothing good enough to need a nerf except maybe melee. Pretty much everything needs a buff. And yet people are walking through gold or so i hear. (I do agree that some buffs are needed.) I also think they strategically will keep difficulty high to promote people paying dollars, whether we like that or not.

The Scorpion and Indra buffs look interesting. I'll have to test them and see if they are powerful enough for Gold now.
Kinda odd, considering all the weapons in the game that probably needed buffs, these two already had decent damage output ..

Good old BioWare balance team. For those of you not around during ME3, buffing/nerfing things by small increments and often hitting weapons that left the community going "Wtf are you doing?" is pretty much standard operation for balancing in Mass Effect. Just wait until they Krysae a weapon. You mean "introduce a weapon that completely breaks the game" just to butcher it completely with another patch to the point of practically removing it from the game? Good old BioWare balance Modus Operandi. From what you guys are saying I think they'll Krysae a Vanquisher (though I doubt Vanquisher is on the same level as release Krysae).

the changes are a step into the right direction.
I am missing changes to powers + combos though (roughly a 10000% buff) and changes to shotguns + fixing Smart Choke
well - they obviously have decided not to do the obvious and leave the Ushior unchanged. probably this is intended - so getting the Ushior in the store will now just become known as "getting the shit end of the stick"
(haha I looked that up - German would be: "Die Arschkarte ziehen")

I also think they strategically will keep difficulty high to promote people paying dollars, whether we like that or not. The thing is the guns that are "good" in AMP are not even good by ME3 standards. They are "good" because they actually move the health bar of the enemy when you shoot them. Ok yeah the vanquisher is a hard hitting sniper its good. Ok now on to every other gun in the game..... The equalizer looks amazing when you use it, but if you had the equivalent in ME3MP you would shelf it and never touch it ever again. The only reason people walk through gold is using the few tactics the game has that works. The melee is stupid...especially with the guns and powers how they are right now. I'm about to go back to Ark. I'm at least going to try the patch...maybe a few damage points will put some guns in over drive idk...we will see. I doubt it. After this "balance" update I think they don't really care tbh. They are throwing darts at a board while the player base drops off to other games. Yeah that buffed some things, but idk.......

So the melee thing basically just killed my Krogan Gladiator...
And I guess they're fine with Fiends sync killing from across the map and teleporting at will.
And weren't most assault rifles considered bad, not just semi-autos? I've heard nothing but complaints about Avenger X and other ARs due to their crappy accuracy and damage.

Agreed, will it make it any more fun when you up the damage and then everyone walks through gold? And then the next step is to buff enemies, it is an endless cycle. This game is suffering (as I predicted) from a large player base that has been used to playing max manifest highest level weapons on me3mp for years. going back to the lowest rung is tough.

Wow. That Mattock damage nerf seems like a really odd choice given how much harder you have to work to pull the DPS out of it compared to full auto guns. Hopefully the ROF fix won't have the gun feeling so unresponsive though.

I also think they strategically will keep difficulty high to promote people paying dollars, whether we like that or not. They do. And its not hard but it involves a huge amount of cheese. And surprise surprise its mostly few kits whit about 3-4 weapons. And if i remember correct ME3MP was also the same - day or two after release large number of people were doing gold - mind you whit far better weapons. So less cheese there. Right now its mostly biotics rolling whit Vanquisher and the occasional Talon or Equaliser or Vanguards rolling whit shotguns they never fire and just mele everything insight. People will find a way to farm gold even if they have to use sticks - that wont change the fact that 90% of the weapons and kits are just not fun to use on gold.

Now.. there is absolutely no reason to even try unlock that shittock.
