Share our new BioWare fan forums with others

The Twitter link in the main post doesn't work for me anymore.
(I've checked BSN forum is still on Twitter^^)

I know a DA reddit moderator (someone from the BSN), but I'm not sure if they are going to be Ok with promoting another platform.Competition and all that.
I think perhaps also getting more people to subscribe to the new BSN twitter account might come handy.
I'm still recovering from putting on a giraffe dog costume with a giant board on my back promoting this forum on the soon to be nuked from orbit BSN.
But I think the idea needs more advertisement .

Edit: I just send a message to  my Reddit DA moderator contact , just testing the water about promoting the new BSN on their subreddit.

Well for now there's no way to attract a lot of people.
You'd need to wait for Andromeda to have a big opportunity.

Perhaps stuff to win , now I'm not sure if it's legal or what but some carrots to attract people.Something that you'd promote on Twitter but people would need to get on the forum to win.
But I don't know if we can do that with Bioware merchandising.
And we'd need money to buy the crappy things (which shouldn't be too too crappy)
Probably not the idea of the year.

I have already included the link of this forum into my sig on BSN.
Perhaps I should try to promote this group elsewhere as well.
Advertising on DA is possible, however that forum may attract unwanted members.

This forum has some real potential and I think we can make some excellent strides. So far everything seems to be more active here.

Establishing a strong social media presence now is likely one of the best avenues for long-term promotion and growth of the forums. As the Andromeda launch campaign kicks into gear and information dumps become more frequent and "meatier" for real discussion, Twitter/Facebook could be used to promote new info and drive people into discussion threads. Could also do things like a "Featured Thread" of the week, or promote the existing Twitter threads (which have proved to be real drawcards to many people) with Weekly "Twitter Round-Up" stuff. I'm sure we also have members who are prominent or have decent reach on other platforms (like BioFan, for instance)--perhaps they would be willing to cross-promote and drive people toward the forums.

We'd just need to put a sheet over that Pubic Hair thread when people visit.

Edit: I should add, it's all very contingent on precisely what kind of forum people want this to be. Are we looking to be the "premiere" forum for all things Bioware? Out on the front lines of gaming news and development, etc? Or more laid-back and go-with-the-flow type deal. Additionally, BSN Prime did have that reputation; I can only assume that for the most part, we would like to distance ourselves from that while still retaining the mixed atmosphere of thoughtful analysis and lighthearted fun that made much of the old forums so great. I dunno. I need breakfast.

This is a great question.

We're going to have different views, so I think there should be room for more intellectual/technical discussions, perhaps with article links,
and sure we're going to have romance, hair and yes, public hair discussions 

We have a chance on the 'toxic' matter.
Whilst people may take issue with the game, this is not an EA/BioWare owned forum they are coming on to wave their fingers at.

I admit, I kinda went on Facebook and tried an impassioned plea. Then, I went back and asked for them to save the forums as read-only. I also dropped a tweet. I am a member of the Facebook groups, so that will be my next attempt to get some of the missing peeps.

Survive when the last days of the bsn come.
