STR The pace has ramped up and it is interesting so far despite the fact that I know the captain and the crew can do a lot more to prepare. It's what they would have done if this is a Star Trek episode (and I don't mean the standard of ST from STD onwards but from STTOS, STTNG until Enterprise). The captain and staff would have come up with defensive methods to ensure crew safety and to fight what is to come but it's not fully explored. When the next chapter opens, the Resolute is being chased and apparently no other plans were formed other than what's discussed in the staff meeting in the previous chapter. I think I'm playing the the second last chapter. It's coming to an end. ... I'm itching to play STTNG A Final Unity after this but it's such an old old game (it runs on DOS). I wish GOG would pick it up. The way they did it with Blade Runner which is another old game revitalise for the modern PC.

Star Trek Resurgence Finished the game. Overall, it's a good game. There's timer on a couple of situations but nothing vexing. Some of the characters are not fleshed out. Jara does not have a lot of interactions with them so there's very little to go on when it comes to making decisions about them. One character is plainly still raw and green. As a Starfleet officer, in a crisis, an order must be carried out unless incapacitated. When that order resulted in serious injuries, the officer should not put the blame on the CO when the order was vital to saving lives. It's your fault! I admire you and you let this happen to me.That's not an adult or an officer speaking. That's a child having a tantrum. I admire you, you must listen to me! I'm right! No idea how Starfleet instructors missed this fault. Additionally, the officer is emotionally driven and is not afraid to let her fear and emotion drive her opinion. What's worse, she chose to resign over an issue of difference of opinion / decision when the crew was preparing to face a battle. Truly unfit to be an officer. It's not difficult to make the logical decisions and responses unless the intention is to play an idiot bad officer with Jara. There is no replay factor unfortunately. There's not enough depth or far reaching branching options. A good game to replay after a year. story spoiler I'm not sure why Sidron is so adamant on not killing Jara. He could easily do so, twice but he apparent wants her converted over to a T'Kon. Thing is, once the T'Kon capsule is injected, the original personality of the host is gone, leaving only memories of their experience. If Jara is converted, she's no longer Jara but the T'Kon personality injected in her.
Whatever characteristics Sidron admire in Jara wouldn't be there. Can't help think this is a lame excuse to prevent the Resolute from being blown into smithereens.

GW2Finished Long live the Lich. Last boss bugged again, thankfully leaving the story instance and going back in brought me back right at the fight start. So Praise Joko!
Only 3 episodes left to do in LS4 before starting the Icebrood Saga.
SWTOR
My apprentice Sith killed a Darth and I didn't even use the gizmo I was send to fetch to do so. I guess shooting lightning at someone who is more machine than flesh has its perks. My master was made a Darth thanks to me. Sith promotions system are weird.

The Council I wanted something easy and cerebral so I decided to fire up The Council. This is a rpg adventure game. First off, movement animation is easy unlike the slightly stiff process for Star Trek Resurgence. Secondly, there are three classes to choose from; diplomat, occultist and detective. I chose detective. Thirdly. The game world is set in 1793. The protag is a British citizen but speaks like an American. The voice actor is American btw. I'd rather the devs chose a British actor and the writers wrote more appropriately to the period because I definitely have no liking to hear the word "hell" flung about and the lax way of speaking. It's too modern and it's jarring. There's definitely no historical vibe to the game. I feel that the characters are in the modern age, playacting. Complete fail for period immersion. I'm at the start so will see how the story pans out.

Played a bit more Diablo IV. Still in the first area ignoring the main quest and working on side quests instead. I need to keep reminding myself that most of the side dungeons have a quest associated with them that will send me there so I don't really need to go out of my way to do them. If I do, I'll likely have to re-do them! Skill-wise I am trying to buff up my passives. My problem always seems to be not damaging enemies fast enough, especially at higher levels and higher difficulties, which I why I mostly stick to normal mode. Yeah, I suck.
In Talos 2 I completed all the puzzles and explored the lab in the first area (East 1) but have no clue what to do with the monuments. I only found 2 sparks but it seems like there should be one floating somewhere for each puzzle solved. If so, that would be 10, not the 2 I have. I also found this purple glowy thing:
but couldn't interact with it and no one else in the party piped up to make a comment so either it's just for looks or not needed until later. Moved on to the second area, East 2, and did the first 2 puzzles there.
Now I'm off to Starfield again. Luckily these 3 games are very different and have in no way similar controls so it's pretty easy shifting between them.
Edit: Just saw on Steam that Talos 2 will have an add-on DLC release next week: The Talos Principle 2 - Road to Elysium

Starfield
Completed the first mission for Constellation now am exploring the city of New Atlantis and talking to every named npc I can find. I really like the additions the latest update added like adjusting the weight capacity of the player character. I know we can do this in game via perks but I really really loathe over encumbrance. Not as bad as Morrowind where we could not move if weighed down. Just don't like it when it prevents me from fast traveling back to the ship. Also I like being able to increase how much credits a merchant has. Also since I'm terrible at shooters I really enjoy the Aim Assist feature.
Baldur's Gate 3
Wrapped up act 1 forgot to do some things like retrieving the chest found in a cave that was supposed to be delivered to a wizard in Baldur's Gate, and I also skipped the whole looking for the Grymforge. I've done act 1 so many time that I just wanted to get it over with. Oh yeah as a paladin I had trouble resolving Mayrina's problem after Auntie Ethel. Every option I chose besides snapping the wand in two led to my paladin breaking his oath. Am currently in act 2. For the first time I was able to save the most of the Harpers including their leader. Met Jaheira at Last Light Inn and another first for me I killed Marcus before he kidnapped Isobel. Now am exploring Moonrise Towers. Had the whole scene with Ketheric Thorn.

The Council
I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish the game because there're already problems.
01] Loopholes. For the protag to claim one thing to a NPC to get an item and that NPC not tackling him about the lie when in a later conversation not long after that revealed the protag knew there was an issue
02] The mannerisms of the protag and the characters, the way they speak
03] The attitude of the servant. Given this is 1793 but no specific date given, I would presume the French Revolution had already begun. Nevertheless, servants that served the wealthy and nobles had a certain attitude drilled into them. There were protocols and a manner of speech when addressing their masters and mistresses.
I would have liked this better if the devs didn't try to put the setting in 1793 because they're better without!! I can see why they did that because they were using historical figures and couldn't very well explain away why George Washington etc would be present in a modern setting.

Hello, we carry on our journey in the Great Desert (this is the biggest open world section on the game) as we gather some things and like cans of, we gather a fishing rod but don't know how to use the rod itself (something I learned after a while: when the catch pulls to the right pull left and vice verse oh, there will be various parts that you will have to reel in the catch by pressing R2 differently) until much later. We discover a high octane tunnel and then we get ourselves creamed by the Behemoth and that is after we take out a turret for Roxane:
Yes, we managed to take down the Behemoth and then we proceeded to scratch up side quests and do some things back in Xion. I adore the game:

Not playing it but just got reminded of this Sega Genesis gem.
After I said, "happy happy joy joy" to something, then had to remember where the hell I'd heard that from all over again.
PS: It's "Ren and Stimpy"

Must admit the nw eHogwarts update is bigger than I thought s when I startedit abou t an hour ago it said i twould take roughly 3 hours t odownload. Starting to fee lsome burn out on my sports games so ma yno t be on them much longe rbefoer I may reach for my RPG's again. I still wantt okeep playin gthe F1 and tennis games a little bi tt ocomplete their what you might call battle passes although I'm almos tdone with the firs ton eon the tennis game I d oknow tha tTopsin pla nt ohav e6 1 for each of the grandslams but 6not suer about the other 2 a sthe first on ewas t odo wi thRoland Garros aka the French Open. I'm assuming Season 2 wil be Wimbledon given that's next up nex tmot hI believe. Unlike mos tbattle passes though thers no expiry date on ho wand when yo uhav e t ocomplete them though and you can basicall yjus tcomplete them b yplaying even jus tplaying tournaments in career mode gets you through it whic his basically all I've been doing. So I'm hopin gSeason 1 won't tak eme much longer sa I'm a tleve l 42 an each Season has 50 levels. I may no tworry too muc habou tcompleting the F1 ones as the yd ohav etim elimits on them but I do wantto d osom ejus tin case as the yhave things like liveries and racing out6fits and celebrator yradio calls. Th elivreies and Racin goutfits aer useful for the My team mode as you can use them on your car and driver So in theevennt I do decide to do a My team career later I'll hav esom eoptions if I complete some o fthem. But unlike the tennis game the F1's aer timed Graqnted I mostly bought the nwe F1 for the new driver career but I may giv eMy team a look later once I've completed my driver career.

GW2I started and finished "A Star to guide us" episode on my Guardian today. *sniff* No Blish!!! Then I started "All or Nothing", I didn't finish it otherwise there would be another *sniff* here.
But I'm close to be done with living season 4. There is one episode after "All or nothing". Then I'll started Icebrood and after that End of Dragon to finally reach the expac content that released last year...
SWTOR
Advancing things very slowly now that I'm playing GW2 more. My Sith Inquisitor just finished Dromund Kass. Bounty Hunter is still on Alderaan, but now like half-way the planet. And my Consular is almost done with Rishi, only one FP left to do and then off to Yavin to finish Shadow of Revan.
And I'm still wondering if I do a replay of DAO, DA2 and DAI before DAVe release. Or just DAI. I still need to play Forbidden West too.

All, the first two games are pretty quick to finish even with the DLC.

All, the first two games are pretty quick to finish even with the DLC. Yeah DA2 I can complete in about a week DAO and DAI both take me a little whil et oget through I've been doing some sidequests on DAI whils twaitin gfor Hogwarts t oupdate. I do plan on doing a run of all 3 eventuall ythough likely after I'v edone another run of Horizon. I mostly chose to pla yDAI becaus eit's instaled on a differen tdriv eto Hogwarts an dthe fac tit's an old game s omy PC doesn' thav eto focus full yon it to run. Plus i tgets me a little close r t ofinishin git wit hm ycurrenj tInquisitor. But then I've still go tto get round to playin gDragon's Dogma or at least give those games a proper go. Once I have though then I'l feel I can focus more on a new DA run. But yeah I'm considering returning to my RPG' s so I can finish my current Midnight Suns run an dtry the nwe Capes game as well. As that looks like awesome fun. I want to also take another crack at BG3 and do a run of the Leg oSkywalker game so we'll see. There are stil some htings I want to finish on m ysports games first s owil lb emaking tha ta priority but I don't think I'll be playing them for too much longer. It's jus ta case o ffinding time for it all atm. But then if Veilguard and Leg oHorizon are the onl ygames I pick up in the latter end of the year maybe I wil find the time. Because atm I'm thinking I might wai tfor a sale befoer picking up Star Wars Outlaws given how expensiv ethe various editions are looking

The Council So the protag, Louie is French, I think, because it's mentioned his mother resided in France. Not British as I thought in the beginning. Actually, I should have caught it right off when the rest of his name came up but I didn't. The French Revolution had already taken place. I'm disincline to continue playing after a couple of hours because the dialogues and attitude of the characters, especially the protag, becomes more and more annoying because it's so slack. When George Washington told Louie that one of the guests was supposed to be dead, that he had seen her buried, Louié received this bit of news with nonchalance, like it's ordinary, nothing unusual. His mien was; yeah, so?? Considering that social etiquette was observed strictly in those days, especially among the upper echelons; Dukes, Lords, Presidents etc. In terms of behaviour, civility, manner of speech, Louie is the worst offender. What about the story? So far, nothing to induce me to tolerate the slipshod vibe of the game and continue.

The Expanse, Telltale Cara Gee as Drummer in the game. Already a plus. Not sure when this adventure took place but according to a blurb, it's before the events of The Expanse. Starting is okay. At the moment, I'm in the opening chapter. Movement is ok. Exploration of the derelict is fine. There are moments when the magnetic boots have to be turned off in order to float to another section of the ship. I'm already impressed with the crew dialogues.

Okay...I'm squealing, they announced the release date for the dlc for A Date With Death...December 9th this year!
So that's still a half year off...but that's okay, plenty of other games to occupy myself with in the meantime

Signalis, what an experience. It and The Missing J.J Macfield and TIOM are probably my favourite queer titles ever. Obsessed.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Yes, the secrets of Xion start to pour out after we investigate a horrible sight. Then we finish helping Digr and get tied on a conspiracy:

And I'm still wondering if I do a replay of DAO, DA2 and DAI before DAVe release. Or just DAI. I still need to play Forbidden West too. All, the first two games are pretty quick to finish even with the DLC. While DAO/DA2 aren't very long, I still need to want to replay them and with the Keep I can set whatever world state I want without having to redo those games.
DAI is a bit of a different story, I haven't unlocked most of the options and looks like I always do the same thing anyway. I also discovered I must have missed two things despite me being sure I've done everything in it (and it never recorded me playing through The Descent for some reasons). My last few DAI PTs were all unfinished, I just go bored once I reach around level 14-15.

Yeah DAI can be a toughone as I've even admitted myself tha twit hthe power point system and the open world can feel a littl eto oopen a ttimes it can mak ethe gam efeel like it's draggin it's heels a bit. I'm looking forward to doing a run of alll 3 though as it's been a whli esince I played Origin sand 2 t othe point I kind of miss them and thos echaracters we spend tim ewith there. DAI i sstill one of m yfavourite games though so I'm definitel ylooking forward to spending som egood quality time in Thedas later in the year. Either playing the firs t3 games or Veilguard and mayb ehaving a good run playing moer than onc ewher e I jump betwen Mass Effec tand Dragon Ag eagain like I did when Inquisition cam eout. As I think I bounced betwwen the 2 series and did mayb e5 o r6 bac kt obac krunsruns back then. I'm no tnecessarily sayin gthat's wha tI'm going t odo a stha tlikel ydepends on how I feel about Veilguard and my mood bu tif it's anywher near as much fun as the first 3 to play it'll b ea fun ride

Yeah, there is a bit of traversing, but you can use a mount and if you mean doing stuff god compared to other games of late like HZD etc. is it is a walk in the park.
