After carefully navigating this next area (this is a long mission) we pass through some blades on the floor that nearly do mincemeat of use. Then we arrive to the Alpha location and we get a very nasty surprise:

Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Red Patriot is indeed behind a paywall.
So our last mission of the time was to go after Kraken and the submarine. Another mission that I had done lately.
The two drone bases that we had to deal with before the main event was of the super fun firefight variety. First drone base ended up pushing right while she went left and around. Didn't put up too much of a fight as we moved in. Next base was with Kraken himself which was kind of fun as well. Weird situation not even sure what happened but we had a conversation on how to go after and divide the snipers with our own sniper fire. There were two of them but then one of them had two other guys in the way. She dealt with the first sniper no problem but the second one for some reason she missed. I got one of the guys, missed the second, and then hit the sniper. This alerted the base though and triggered a bit of a firefight. Kraken charged me and despite putting up a burst of fire I was able to take him down. Then the next phase of the firefight resulted in a lot of the grunts just ignored me to go after her. This was about 80 meters and I stayed in the third person view but was able to shoot them as they went after her, they'd turn on me but this would leave me with excellent shots.
Next up the main sub base. This time we coordinated to get to a building on the back of the base. Our plan was to hit them hard in the opening move and then draw them in. This plan worked, at least in the initial stages. I called in a missle strike with our new desginator and it got all three of the targets I was after, clipped the mortar, and did not kill the Civilian. They initially pushed us at least somewhat hard with heavy gunners and then one guy spawned right on us which was a bit annoying. Eventually though they turtled up so we had to go in after them.
Then we decided to start Conquest mode. Just did the opening mission where we deal with the Bodarks who assaulted the Outcast main base. We were able to deal with them all with sniper fire, including the stealth bodarks, with our initial OP.
Back to myself and finished up with Deep State and more stuff I have done farily recently...lol.
First up did the General Paxton Mission. Bit of a fun little start to it as I was able to very nearly infilitrate the initial cave without much trouble. Just swept in with the 416 Scout and shot only who I needed to. Eventually though I had to make a bit of a stand as I drew too much attention to myself on the infil. And then later they called in a lot of reinforcements on me...which was kinda hmm considering I had just supposedly put the fear of God into the general.
Did the Stephania Burgess mission afterwards...which was always fun. Had to track her down to in a shopping center of Liberty. Of course there was Sentinel soldiers within the vacinity and the AO and of course I wasn't quite as stealthy as I should have been which caused some issues but was able to work through it.
Karl Seculic...back to Liberty Dam. This time since I just had a DMR, and limited ammo, didn't go for the usual sniping I do and I went down there into the dirt to clear the base from stem to stern. And this time that proved to be a pretty good strategy. Even despite them calling in reinforcements.
Final mission, dealing with Claw itself. ANother be undetected type of mission. Which got hectic this time as a sniper came within an inch of seeing me...but in this case I think last time I basically went down and cleared it out up close. This time I did most of the action from the catwalks with synchsots and sniper fire. This worked. THen dealt with the drones. Like last time the squad all went down on the behemouth and its gas bombs were super annoying. But I was able to really kill it and bunker down even without too much issue.

SWTORI did the "Torch" story flashpoint on my Consular and meet Shae Vizla. Hi Shae, I've been reading everyone hates you after 7.5 story release. As a side note, apparently the male Imperial Agent was recast in 7.5. SWTOR first MC cast recast since release 12 years ago. Pretty impressive. GW2, which released about 6 months later, had a few over the years, mostly the Charr for some reasons. Beside that, I'm thinking of changing my SI class. I started with Sorcerer with the default Lightning and then moved to Madness and tried that a bit, but I don't feel like either works well. I like Mercenary despite being a similar "turret" style gameplay, but the lack of usable instant free filler ability is killing Sorcerer for me. Technically, I have one via the default saber attack, but it's melee and Sorcerer's abilities are all max range for a reason...
GW2
I didn't really play much of it, but I really should try to get a weekly done so I can purchase 2 more ascended armor boxes. That will give me 6 and I will be able to make a full set for one of my character.. You can only get 3 boxes per like 90 days, but you need to get astral claims which means playing the game...which haven't been doing much of.
DAI
Mentally debating actually playing this or not. Or if I should plan a full replay of all 3 games before DAD release, but that might burn me out too so...
I'm also installing BG3 to see if I can get this working on Linux (should be since it works on Steam Deck).
KoTORI'm not going to finish this. I can't play 3-4 games at the same time. Also, I kinda didn't like my character skill/feat spread and would have to restart so it's been sacrificed to the altar of gaming.

Ghost of Tsushima.... Must've played for at least 4 hours today, cleaning up a lot of the side quests and practising my combative skills. Also, I don't get why the game allows you to kill deer without getting a hide out of it. Because otherwise it just feels wrong. The only animals I have successfully killed for a 'reward' are the bears. So I'm going to leave the deer alone, they don't harm anyone anyhow. Deer are sacred to the Japanese. They are considered divine messengers in Japanese culture for their legend has it that the Thunder God, Takemikazuchi, rode on a white deer. The devs did right in not allowing any hunting of deer for hides because no Japanese will do such a thing. Only hides from bears and wild boars are valid. Do you know they have a deer sanctuary in Japan where the deer roamed in great numbers and interact with the locals and tourists? There is also a fox sanctuary where locals and tourists can buy food and feed the foxes though not allowed to pet them. I did not know this...But it completely makes sense and now that I know this I will never shoot another deer. I can't abide hunting anyways. I cant stand when youre forced to do it in Tomb Riader games...always makes me feel yucky.

Persona Tactica So finally went ahead and played the DLC story. Waiting on it was the right move since it made for a delightful morning and my brain was way more primed to do tactic stuff. Did make me cry a bit at the end, but that's fun too.
Cupid Parasite Went on a visual novel spree ages ago and finally got to poking at it. Did Keiisain and Shelby's route. Ended up picking Keiisain's date first since I figured the "Date I was most concerned about" was the date I wanted the least but actually it meant the date I wanted to go on. Reloaded and picked Gill's instead, then looked up the recommended route order and the other two were recommended first so reloaded and went with Keiisain first, which was good since there is a love test at the beginning which is the pre-requisite for the best ending and I scored Eros (Keiisain's route) so would've ended having to reload much more if I went with Gill.
Shelby's route was delightfully awkward and cheesy but I feel they tossed me favourite side character under the bus and ran him over couple of times just for good measure.
Figure Gill will be next, but am taking a break from the game for now. So he has to wait. Poor fellow.
But ended up enjoying the game more than I expected and found myself actually getting super invested in being a matchmaker that I ended up being kinda disappointed that the match was me. Because the game got me real hyped for seeing all my little guys being paired off and happy and then I can only help one of them. :C

GW2I did my weekly (which reset on Monday) and got the astral claims I needed to buy the last two boxes of ascended armor I could buy this "season". I now have 6 which is a full armor set. Woot! I did say it wasn't very long, took about 2 hours. I did commit Svanir genocide. Like many other players. So many players around killing Svanirs...
Also, one of the weekly was to do a world boss and there was many, many players and it was very, very laggy. And at some point something weird happened, but it's not clear if it was the server or people's systems. A few other people had started to talk about blue squares everywhere which I was also seeing .
edit: Looking online, looks like the blue squares are a problem introduced by the patch last week.
SWTOR
I only did enough to trigger my daily on my BH, reset is tomorrow and I got to check like 5 toons for guild conquest rewards. I just need to remember which ones.
I'm also trying to accumulate Rest XP on my Sith Inquisitor, so I can level up a bit faster next time I play him so he's resting right now.
Linux Gaming
BG3 installed without issues outside of time. The displayed speed was high, but I feel like it took more time than on Windows. I then copied my saves and I can play Mira again! Maybe I'll continue her one day.
After that, I decided to not bring over my modded Skyrim* and it was the last game I had on my Windows gaming 1TB disk to migrate. So I reformatted the disk and moved some of the games I installed on my main linux disk to it and used simlinks to their old install spot so it doesn't break the apps that call them. Then I tested everything and it seems to work fine.
I also cleaned-up another disk, so the only disk I haven't "migrated" yet is the one with Windows installed on it... I did migrate all the saves I didn't want to lose for games I haven't installed yet thought, which was basically 3 games. The rest I don't care since those games have no NG+ or on-going PTs.
*Starfield replaced it for now.

I started a new seasonal character in Diablo IV over the weekend, a sorcerer...ess named Azulae. I didn't take a screenshot but today I somehow managed to transmog her armor to maker her look like Vivienne from DAI. Now I feel like she needs to specialize in ice magic.

This is a crazy set up. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. The game is War Thunder, released 2012. It's a FTP MP. Edit. Found the original vid instead of the short.

Yes, after the horrible last mission we return to Matrix 11 to acquire a particular bear (not before we get chopped off by some buzz saws) and deliver it to someone who was hoping that the person he valued got his memories recovered. The reward is hilarious:

Star Trek Resurgence
Decided to pause GoT DLC play and go for something easy as I have not fully recovered from the cold.
I remembered I played the demo for this over a year ago but had no idea the game was available on Steam until recently. The movement animation is stiff but not terrible. The mini games on tasks is ok but if the devs put a timer on them at some certain points in the story, it may get annoying.
As it is, although touted that decisions matter, I think the decisions taken impacted crew opinion than situation outcome.
The story follow the viewpoints of two characters. Jarra, the replacement first officer and Carter, one of the engineering crew.
Thus far, the captain is irked because I chose to not follow his order as Jarra but then he didn't have all the info at hand when he gave the order. The bridge crew is more amiable.
Carter is in good books with his colleagues.

Ghost Recon BreakpointStarting out on my own with some Red Patriot, bit of a weird day, though I suppose that will become evident as I move on. Started out with Wall Run and I guess from the last time this was a bit of good luck. Kind of wish...hmm that would work well for MP...but wish I could just follow along on foot because being the gunner is a bit on the odd side. The funny moment though when I had to race to the final objective and I fell off the bridge, through that one base that was on the entrance to the bridge, down a river, and yet somehow I still ended up being able to get back up and charged up through the proper tower all in time. I think from here this was the...yeah pretty sure...this was the time when I had to go through to the Seed Vault for the actual killing of the Bodark in question. I shot someone...and then they saw me. So I had the idea though to go prone camo as the perimeter guards all came after me to hunt for me. Well when I was pretty sure they were in the trap had my team go loud and sweep the floor with them. Yanked their leash so I could go in as leading the team more cohesively...and it worked in the end. Redid the mission where I went after the one guy on the convoy. As a pro tip though it actually is the same base I hit gave me the info I needed. I had this plan to ambush them hard with a whole crap ton of mines but then other cars showed up and ruined said plan. I ended up winning by I guess he drove off road all on his own. Sensing a theme here. Because on the next mission went after...I am terrible at remmebering stuff I swear I have to google quests I do all the time to learn the names. But have to steal a truck in order to draw the Bodark out. Then I got it stuck in a river. Fast travelling to a camp worked...but it was still stuck, so reloaded the checkpoint...cleared the base again...but then had to take a break for a minute...and when I reloaded it lost all my progress because that be how this game works on that one specific aspect. So I finished off my own play session with going on that one mission of the helicopter getting shot down and having to rescue these engineers from loads of Wolves. First time I decided to be a little aggressive and go after them. Didn't quite work because for some weird reason one of my people died way down the friggin mountain so I couldn't get to him...Vasily I think. Then Fury went down right in the middle of a choke point so I couldn't get to her and for some reason Wolves were able to walk up both sides of the mountain. Next time I stayed at the edge of the facility and just plugged away as they came in, didn't send my people out to 'clear hot' as I figured it would be better to stay on the defensive. Off to the wife and back to conquest did the Liberty Province, well all the set up missions, and I mean all of them as I discovered that I could really have to re arm before doing things. And boy did they really put a lot of Wildlands into my Breakpoint. Don't get me wrong Wildlands was awesome to in its own way but given the more fan reception from the two games, its kind of telling. They put that one night theme in there, put in Bowman, and radiomen that could call in constant waves of reinforcements. Still though despite this we got it in pretty much one shot. Had to go in and die once and reload but it worked out. Took out some vehicles from the air. Cleared out Liberty City with me on the ground and her providing air support.

This is the face of a man who received a mysterious letter from his old sweetheart to meet up, and just spent most of his take from the last robbery on a smart outfit, a haircut and a shiny pair of boots. Even if he's still a low-down criminal, he might as well come off as if he's doing well at it! Also that's West Wind, my horse. Took her off a feller who was too German to pay his debts. *Takes a look around the page, and scuffles the several paragraphs about the gorgeous pile of wolf, buck, deer and boar pelts I brought back to camp right before because Arthur needed to lie low after robbing the doctor's office in town, and snagging a shiny new Schofield revolver*

Somehow, finally, Mass Effect: Legenday edition work! I had to uninstall and reinstall EA app at least four time, two times the entire game, but finally - IT WORK! - Jade Shepard is back!!! But with a better haircut. Really, the hairstyles and the colors are truly a big treat (black hair!!! Not blue, not dark gray, real black!) just finished the opening on Eden Prime, and I've only now discovered that I can play with english dub! It was never possible on my older console versions, so I may decide to try the original dub (I love the italian one, but I'm curious to hear how some characters are in english). Maybe later I'll look up at some mods. But for now I'm just happy to have the trilogy work.

GW2Anet announced the next expac and it release end of August. I really need to finish SoTO before it does. So I went back to my Hammer-Willbender Norn and finished the 2nd episode of living season 4 instead of my Ninja-Necro (who is at the start of PoF).
SWTOR
Moved forward a bit on my Inquisitor, he went to pick-up a gizmo that will allow him to kill a Darth. I'm at a point where my spec sucks (lack "energy" and damage is lacking considering the lack of defense), but the 20s/30s are bad for all spec from my experience. Hopefully it get better, because I'm starting to think of moving to one of Marauder/Juggernaut/Assassin over Sorcerer...
I also did some heroics on my Trooper.

More Talos Principle 2. Started exploring the first area and got through 7 of the 8 regular puzzles. #8 has me stumped - I had figured out what I thought was the solution but my light connection isn't hitting the mark. Will try again next time but tomorrow I'll go back to Starfield. My plan is to rotate through the 3 games so we'll see how long that lasts.

Star Trek Resurgence
Oh ho. I have come to the point where the writers dropped the ball. They don't understand the ethos of Star Trek. There is never a zero sum decision where Star Trek is concerned. There is always another option, a third option.
I'm being forced to choose one or the other which makes less sense considering making such a choice undermine the Federation Ambassador's purpose in the mission.
This is very annoying as it forces the Federation mission to take a side. There is no diplomatic choice. Without enough information to go on, I can only choose on what has been said / discussed.
This drops rating of the writers for this game to 5/10. From here onwards, it's predictable what's going to happen.
This makes me missed the old game Star Trek TNG The Final Unity even more. That is really a Star Trek episode.

STR Ok, I'm now very annoyed. It's getting dumber. Jara was sent on a lone away mission to find the source of the problem. She found what it was and additionally, there's a danger that crew can be compromised. She returned to the ship and neither the captain nor the ambassador asked her for a debrief. Right at this moment, an ally ship put itself in danger for inexplicable reasons. Nobody asked questions! The ally captain wants help and asks that his crew be beamed onboard the Resurgence. Jara doesn't say anything! It's as plain as the sun in the sky why the ally captain wants his crew onboard the Resurgence. I hate contrived crisis when it can be easily avoided.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Yes, we finally made it to a new area and now we are working towards in the massive Great Desert but we get deviated from our main objective. We then head all over the southern portion as we work to start up the power to the camps and, we face off against a very special Stalker:

Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Well this was a bit fun to. Ugh trying to get some RP scenarios and costume scenarios in my head still which is at least one objective then thinking of maybe doing Amber Sky again for the next little while.
So at first my idea was 'spy running around developping intel from targets and what not on an objective.' It does not really work out too well because I can't holster my weapons. Suppose I could have gone into it with a pistol but that would've also ruined the effect when my squad would walk around with full weapons. I guess something to keep in mind for the next time I want to do something like this and then have her change in her battle gear...which is something I did do. Thinking. Book plots. Etc.
The mission at hand went FUBAR quite dramatically as...hmm. Well tried to do the whole 'sneaky sneaky' approach sinc efor an elite mission seemed the target was fairly isolated. But...forogot how. OH YEAH. So I got on target ninety percent of the way and they hear me just a bit, does not even trigger a full event but hten one of my squad just randomly throws a friggin grenade which explodes and draws the whole base and wakes them the hell up. AND THEN it ends up being a mission where we have to defend the terminal. AND THEN my squad is isolated from me. Admittedly at this point I to messed up as I didn't properly establish an internal perimeter so enemies kept sneaking up on me...but once I realized they were using the same door I picketed the thing and shot a wave of enemies as they came through and then called my squad to me. At this point the squad did something fun as Fury was able to do a scan which revealed a large group of enemy massing to hit the room we were in, so watched them come in and just before they hit the door had my team clear hot. They ambushed the enemy and killed them all then I recalled them for the next group. Mission completed...but then for some reason I died. Which this was the first time I went down on the actual mission part and I had a moment of isolation between the two times I died on the run up to the target. So that was fun. But hey mission success in a video game is mission success.
From there I discovered a couple of nice pieces of cosmetics...on Golem island. And then I discovered that I could actually go to Golem without the raids and without the Conquest mode. SO that was fun.
Golem is actually an amazing locale. Kind of a shame that the missions you do are limited to the conquest mode or the raid. Really wish they could have worked in faction missions given all that.
Camp Salamendar was my first target. Just a Wolf base between the zones. Went through and had to clear it. So I did. One of those things this ambush was just perfect. Set up synch shots and drones to help me get through it so I really reduced the number of targets on the base before going loud and sweeping through. Awesome.
Next awesome thing I did was actually first sustained sniper activity with my 416 scout proving it is a viable way. There was a small rideline on the second base so had the team set up and then swept through the base. Things got a little hectic because I got a little greedy but still made it through and pushed through. Felt good to get some sniping in again and nailing targets long range.
Final mission of the night had to go to the Golem island chemical pipeline. One of those BS things where I had to start down so a terrible starting position. Plus squad AI got funky but figured it out eventually.

Everyone, it seems, magically know what information Jara picked up. 🤣 There's no need for a debrief.
All it takes is an action and a couple of lines. Like Jara dispensing the information to the captain and ambassador and all division heads on datapads to explain why they know what the enemy have. Nope, the devs skipped the logical info dispersal.
The captain, Solano, is an idiot who's more concern about his career record than the threat but he's not so idiot to keep mum about a potential threat to Federation starships.
