After one full week of no gaming due to inflammation in both of my thumbs and very little gaming three weeks prior due to health issues and said fingers I was starting to go crazy so I installed a game I bought ages ago which requires only minimal gamepad input so I could use my other fingers to navigate. Game's from 2017 and very short. About 3-4h. One of those games I bought because the art style looked cute, knew nothing about it. So I was surprised it turned out to be a minimalistic indie Butterfly Effect story where you try to prevent a car accident that kills the girlfriend June. You have to change the behavior of 4 people in the village trying to change fate. And naturally if you change one thing, something else happens. So whatever you do the car crash still happens. Won't spoil how it ends but it was a nice little puzzle game. Very easy but not bad. It's not a great game and the fantasy mumbling instead of actual voiced dialogue was disappointing but the ending still made me tear up. I'll give it a 6/10. I sort of recommend it because I like the idea, I just kinda wish it was done with proper voice acting and a different art style. So rather AA than indie. But for an indie game it's done well enough. I have a few more point and click adventures I could install that I've had for years or buy one of the recently released new walking simulators. I do have options that should let me game a little while my fingers heal. Just sucks that I had JUST started the Blood and Wine DLC for W3. And I'm really itching to get back to it...

I mostl ytook a tim eou tyesterday t oplay som ewomen's football on Fifa (mostl ybecaus eEngland were playing) but I'm planning on getting back to DAI today. I am finally in act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3 and playing the game has been giving me such an urge to replay the Dragon Age series. I always said it since day one BG3 reminds me a lot of the Dragon Age games especially Origins.

I know bioWare developed the first two Baldur's Gate themselves, the first one with Black Isle Studios help. I was just saying that in my opinion BG3 feels more like Dragon Age than the first two Baldur's Gate games. When I first played BG3 during early access I said this game reminds me of DA: Origins.

Horizon FW: Completed the game and the dlc. Overall I thought it was alright, though def needed some stronger and more involved bad guys. I did like the home base stuff and hope they expand more on that in the next game, as well as maybe having companions go out with you in the world more often.
WotR: Now that all dlc is out I've been playing through that. I've gotten into act 3 as an Angel now. Enjoying it so far and with the merged oracle spell book its pretty op.
DAO: I kept seeing vids pop up in my feed of people playing it after all the VG stuff, so sure make me reinstall it lol. Spent a good chunk of the day getting it modded up

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
I am still just hunting animals for their hides and xp so that way when I have enough gold to craft armor I can just do it and not have to stop and go hunt again. But I also been looking for the cyclops lair.

Ok, so we arrive to this coast in the South but decide to take on a dragon. Then we desists on that and head over the West and discover a whole new host of things:

A bread cake for the celebration. Something savory to balance out the sweetness. Couldn't find a picture of one with Sardines and Caviar sadly. Icewind Dale 2.So long post because I did bunch and I want to talk about it. The Party MC Algerna- Elf sorceress Hildury- Half Orc barbarian Diriel - Elf druid (romance-able) Rizdaer - Drow Fighter (romance-able) Salomeya - Half Elf bard Peony - Gnome Wizard
And Jaemal is another mod companion that you can romance.
The session because looong. Squared off in the Battle Square. Did move on to Chapter 3 but found out I hadn't progressed enough in the elf romance for it to keep going and well...I made the main an elf for a reason damn it! Not that it matters much since it seems I'll end with the Drow. So rewound time and ended up completing 5 ranks of the Battle Square. Which is half way through but the next ranks are kicking my butt so... Since you can force the talks along in the mod I got the elf up to the point where he'll continue into chapter 3. Then when making sure I was right I ended up loading in Jaemal as well and Seems like his talks carry over into this chapter so might test him out again later in the next chapters or something. Because he's to gosh darn sweet. Ended up testing if changing to a bloke would unlock the other romance talks but seems they're also locked in act 2. Did get a kick out of the voice set chuckling when I picked some options so that was good. Next day moved on to chapter 3 proper. Bought the Genie bottle from Nym but nothing else. Haven't opened it yet. Did the missing children quest and I feel like there is something missing. So there is a mage whose been stealing children, robbing their life essence and then turning their husks into minks. In return she's been "safeguarding" the nearby village from dangers. The village does not know this and send you to find the kids. You confront her about it and she alludes that killing her will revert the minks into people. And also comments that it's not her problem that the villagers have probably at some point killed and skinned their children. And like. Does the reversion work post mortem? Because you'd have that nice mink cloak and boom. Kid cloak. And even if it didn't there is way less horrified reactions than there should have been. Brain dead or not that was still Steve's son you used to patch up that tent. Granted she does also say that they sold the pelts but even that is still really gross. Also she says she takes six kids each 66 years, but I could only head count 4 in the camp. One of the kids had already been minkified and none of the kids have her name. And like. Is she skinned or is there a tiny little husk of a child somewhere in the woods? And heck what of the minks that happened to survive. Are they now huskified somewhere?! You can't just gloss over this game! In a more morally gray manner was kinda missing the option to ask the village on their opinion. Because as gruesome as it is, they are living near some very blood thirsty beasts and barbarians which could absolutely rip the village to shreds. So six kids in exchange for sixty six years of protection? And like. If they could get the minks afterwards and keep them safe and fed and not freaking skinning them because what the heckidy heck. Logically the answer would probably be a big ol' nope but still. My stupid butt would've given up on the next bit where you are wandering around a forest comprised of multiple duplicated areas with like 1% or less difference between them. But turns out the Wilderness skill is actually handy for once. So got through it. Wheee. Had my first big bug, the game freezing after doing some dark lumber jacking. Thankfully lowering the resolution to it's itty bitty original size did the trick. Didn't fix the fact that there might be dragons ahead. Itty bitty dragons supposedly but still. Disgusted noise. First dragon was...not so bad actually. It was indeed itty bitty and the druid and fighter could tank his two wyvern buddies before joining the fray while the barbarian and a horde of undead dealt with the dragon. I knew there were doppelgangers afoot but not where so that was fun surprise. Thankfully those were weaklings. No mirror image or insane claw stuff. Then game crashed when trying to move on. Did not need to mess with the resolution, but did have to reload since the Itty Bitty dragon committee had a repeat performance in the cave and I was not ready. Nothing horrible though, just needed to rest a bit and spread out more cleverly. Then it was to the Underdark, where we met the ever pleasant, ever delightful Hook Horrors. And like. They weren't horrible, but there were so gosh darn many of them and they "ambush" you so you end up surrounded and just no. Go away. There were also slime and one shambling mound. Thankfully no Mustard Jelly. Found some Druegar slavers and leaving them alive for now for cash and experience, but the guide (not following it completely but occasionally glance at it if I'm feeling stuck/frustrated) does suggest I murder them before moving on to the next chapter since supposedly it's inevitable and I get more xp and better loot there. So fair weather friends for now, but the storms a coming. Then Umber Hulks joined the fray, kicking in the wall like the Cool-Aid man. Oooh yeah. As with the doppelgangers they are considerably less terrifying this time around. Still feel a knot in my stomach seeing them after Baldurs Gate 2. Think Confusion is a lot less violent in this game, since they just stand there for the most part instead of trying to murder the party like in Baldurs Gate 2. (Korgan nooooo). Thought I had a mod encounter when a Beastmaster said he was there for Diriel's head, but then realized he'd just picked him randomly to speak to so... He did kill Peony though, so time to re-re-rewind. Also he's accompanied by War Bears and bears in an underground cave is hilarious to me. (But they do hibernate/live there I guess? I have never seen a bear in real life. In person of course, I know they exist unlike Giraffes.).Anyways he killed Algerna this time so third time was the charm. And am at the edge of Chapter 4 now. Did take a sneak peak and there is a monastery there. Very cool. Also doesn't seem like the romance ultimatum pops up this chapter so that's nice. Figure it will by chapter 5 though. But maybe I'll be lucky. But that means I should probably go back and deal with the Druegar since I don't fancy fighting monks. Because they know kung-fu and stuff. But that is for later. Did try murdering the Druegar but it bugged the party AI so they stop what their doing after a few seconds and well. It's annoying as heck so going to have to rewind.

I romanced all 3 of them in the same game ages ago. Spoilered in case you don't want to know some ending info: Diriel romance was creepy af, Rizdaer was good but you only get one ending I think? And Jaemal up and leaves to go find himself. Never finished the second run because the final boss fight kicked my ass and I rage quit and uninstalled the game. I played both IWD games twice but they just didn't have the same magic as the BG games, being more about the dungeon crawling than the companions and story.

NHL 24Did confirm that they moved the line change buttons to the dpad left and right and away from the...shape buttons. Still thinking of letting the computer run it more this time around. At least the greater the lead, or the more tight the game in the end ironically enough, the more I will probably be entering my own inputs and having my own ideas, because sometimes that is how sports work. As a side benefit though the pressure system is really fun for the flow of the game and how it gets going. I am really digging how much the crowd gets involved in these games especially when you do have a lot of pressure...and its a nice gameplay gimmic which I also might take more control of to try and take the most advantage of it. So only thing I gotta experiment with more is to see how the Franchise mode works and if they 'fixed' the problems I had with it from NHL 22. Onto the games well this is a two day process again and kind of forgot the games I played yesterday so not going to go too much into it. Started messing around with the Avs a little bit and trying to get their roster going since first off Gabriel Landeskog continues to deal with his real life issues, but he is in the game, so inserted him back into the lineup. But Val Nichushkin is also having other set of real life issues where he keeps running into problems with NHL rules so I removed him from the lineup, lets hope he gets back one day. So part of a debate is whether or not to trade him for a better player, just don't know exactly who I should go after. Hmm. Though right now I swapped him out for Logan O'Connor who got injured towards the end of the season so wasn't in the lineup. My idea kind of is to go and get a former Avs player that I liked and slot him in...but who? And anyways with the Avs won a pair of 4-3 games, Landeskog in the first game back did have two deflection goals basically within a minute of each other. Other then that onto today's games, had three games up. Hmm...6-2 against the Blue Jackets and Canadiens, 5-4 against the Wild. I say Lindholm is being really impressive in a lot of what he is doing for me right now really looking forward to him more in real life as I am quite sure he got the opening goal again against the Canadiens...ugh trying to remember here. He did have one of those goals where he got the puck mid ice, raced in, and sniped it through. Coyle also had a wicked back hander from way down town similar to I imagine how Crosby does his. And then Fredric also had a hat trick during one of them. The Wild game was...wild. Every pushed out to like a 2-0 lead and they crawled back and tied. Then I would go ahead, in the third like 3-2, they would crawl back, then 4-3, tie game. Eventually I won 5-4 thanks to a Brancon Carlo breakaway and backhander. Marchand and Fredric also contributed in the third period. Must say I am really digging the goalie animations...ooh Debrusk scored one to...but just the goalies are so much more active of course it can be frustrating when they are flat on their back but you can't put it home. Fleury was a little monster though despite me putting up 5 goals he did really 'stand on his head' as it were as he did face over 60 shots.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

The Mildew Children
Decided to take a break from Enshrouded. I bought Mildew Children because it seems like an adventure game and visual novel. There are responses to choose which dictates relationships and outcomes.
I'm not sure about the setting. It seems to be the Bronze Age or on the verge of the Axial Age. The protag is a girl who lives in a village. She's considered a witch and not much accepted by the villagers. Her friend appears to the priestess.
The villagers seem to practise some form of nature worship because I can make no head or tail of what the priestess say. She tends to the dead and speaks of the dead returning, what should be done with people not buried, etc.
There also seems to be some form of ritual sacrifice; in the form of drinking a sleeping potion before the priestess slit the throat. The Chosen, I think, is supposed to take away the ills and all the bad stuff of the village into the earth and expected to be reborn. Freaky thing is the chosen victim appears healthy, married with kids. I was taken aback when she bids a fond farewell to her husband.
At the moment I'm going ; ugh!!! But I'll continue playing to see what's the story about.

Phew, after a big while of doing things at random, we decide to go after the main questline and, thanks to reaching the 100% for Lily, we reach an exclusive area to provide a welcomed challenge. It is a long one:

melbella Is the creepiness the whole Elven Supremacy thing or does he get even worse? And since you did manage to do all three did you need to do some reloading or was it just all in one go? Since Jaemal did give me an ultimatum talk in the act 2 testing but there was also an option to apologize so wondering if that would've worked. And agreed on the Baldurs Gate games being more charming. I've done one run of the first game and it was mostly carried by Kulyok's NPC mod. And this run is mostly just because the Npc mod popped up in my head. And rage quitting sounds very relatable. Not even at the final boss and some encounters are just, frustrating to the extreme. Icewind Dale 2. Sided with the first monk you meet in the Monastery and it was a thing. Surprisingly peaceful and nice, since I was expecting some sinister laughter and stuff, but no, just chill times. Did the Eight Chambers. Thought the game was bugged since it wouldn't let Diriel attempt the trials since even after stripping him down and having the monk store that one item that I missed he still couldn't do them. Then realized it was because he was a bear. So guessing he was bearing some Bear armor. Hue hue. So lots of shifting in and out of bear form this session. Another bear issue was that in one room you need to stand on a pedestal to get immunity to the lightning that you're about to get spammed with. And it didn't work if he was a bear. So even more shifting. But pulled through and now he can keep being his superior self. A bear. Then finally the Underdark. Did not loot the chest surrounded by Iron Golems since Nalia's keep is still fresh in my mind, but maybe when I try to trek back and finish the Battle Squares. The Underdark had a lot of Driders. Like the place was crawling with them. Thankfully they were kinda weak. At least compared to the unit in Baldurs Gate 3. Think next session might have Mindflayers which might be neat, might be horrid. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
