Is the creepiness the whole Elven Supremacy thing or does he get even worse?
Much worse
And since you did manage to do all three did you need to do some reloading or was it just all in one go?
I don't remember exactly but reloading seems right. I think I went as far as I could without committing to any of them and then did separate endings with each one.

HFWI made it to the point where you get the base. So yeah I guess. I'm still wondering why they made so many weapons and tied elemental arrows to certain bows and you basically have to buy things to cover everything and run around with 5 ranged weapons...while I can apply any elemental damage to my melee attacks now thanks to reaching the end of the three. Melee > ranged at this point. Also, doing a cauldron with NPC is well...sorry pals let me doing everything while you watch. They should have flirted more.

Yeah the limited weapon slots was frustrating but in the end I just ran with the Sharp Shot Bow, one Hunter Bow with some elements, a sling with other elements, Spears to explode things and the Frost Bolt Blaster. It was also easy to swap stuff out either in advance or during combat if you really needed to. I hope you enjoy it more now, following the main mission and doing all the quests at the main locations of those worked for me.

NHL 24So one more experiment down with the games mechanics and I can't say I am exactly...happy about things. Franchise mode done none of the stuff they should've done...as bizarre as it is still can't find a page for long term stats, no stamina management for the game either which does have some interesting implications to. Instead feeling like an old franchise of Madden because there is now things like business management, fan management, and then owner goals and what not. Oh and also annoyingly enough unlike in one of the other Madden games (was never interested in doing this in Hockey so don't know if its a feature) stuck being a GM, and then on top of it they don't have real coaches so I don't have Jim Montgommery nor can I create them. On the bright side though I do like how dynamic the stat tracker is in the middle of the games as it seems to constantly update during the seasonl. Even early on, only 8 games in, (yeah I know ) but they have been updating these stats in real time from the beginning team stats and league stats. At least the offenisve and defensive stats. Other bright side, more general to gameplay in general but still good, I am really impressed in how much they have improved this games animations. I have gone on about the goalie one but it also works just as well for players as the way they take hits are also a lot more dynamic and what they can do. Have had people falling all over the ice but also doing things like shooting the puck or flipping it to teamates while on the ice to set up scoring opprotunities. Sometimes it looks a bit weird to because as with real Hockey I tend to wonder just how often penelties happen but I swear I've also seen players shove mine with their gloves to...call the penelty! Two games up today 6-3 against the Ducks and 5-2 against the Red Wings. Both interesting games in their own way. Duck game was the one where it so frequently happens got hoisted on my own patard...at least for the first two periods. Saw their goalie rating as only 83 and I was licking my chops in celebration, even though Gibson can sometimes be competent...and well this was one of those games as they stormed out to a 3-1 lead early. Only goal I had was a Morgan Geekie breakaway which he put in his 3rd on the backhand. But I had major defensive troubles. Not allowed too many shots but was giving up breakway after breakaway, happened four or five times. ANd they converted three of them. Only got 13 shots in the game so there goes Ulmark's save percentatage. So third period facing some worry but my defense really tightened up and my offense finally wore down Gibson. Oh had a goal waved off late in the second to put an ominious note on things by either Pasta or Lindholm. But then the Pastrnak special that is even becoming more special then it was for the NHL 22, I swear think he's gotten faster. But breakway, and then back hander as they went by on the goalie's left. McAovoy tied up the game shortly thereafter with a really impressive wrister from the point that almost could have been offsides. Then Debrusk, Marchand, and...hmm maybe Debrusk again actually all scored on the same goal essentially, breakaway, then buried left corner low of the net. Next game against the Red Wings almost the exact opposite from the Ducks game. Got out to a 3-1 lead by the third period. Pasta had a Pasta special opening shift of the game to get up 1-0. Then after they tied it Fredric had one of the best shifts I have ever seen, got two hits in the offensive zone, one behind the net, he skated around to the front of the net then sniped one through. Then maybe this was the game Debrusk had his two goals. . Anyways though five to one. They went in and got a goal and their backup was in...or probably their starter but didn't start this game...was just a brickwall, made 21 saves. Since they made the game kind of close I was trying to push for one more goal but he just did not budge.

Icewind Dale 2 Finished up the Battle Square, put it on Very Easy since I don't hate myself that much. Do the last five ranks. That's 120 solo battles btw. And that's counting the ones I had to win. Not the one where the enemy teleported itself into the locked room and the golem "Didn't see it so guessing you're stuck here", or the ones where I kill the enemies within the time limit, in front of the stupid golem and he goes "Nah didn't count". Took me like a good chunk of time to go through. Occasionally figured I should just stop and move on with the game because when it wasn't buggy it was really. Really boring. Get my rewards, get ready to move and realize the AI bug is back. I had a hard save from rank 9, but it's in there too. Other hard save is from before I started the last 5 ranks. Can't find anyway to fix the bug except turn off the ai.
After some misery I did some testing and seems like auto attack new foe does work with AI off so. Which is the only thinking they really had to do. So it's fine. I'm still peeved. Also seems like the banter talks are a bit reliant on it so will have to activate it occasionally to see if they have something to say.
Tried duking with the Iron Golems and Hehe no. Maybe one, maybe two, but four Nopes.
Leaving the Mindflayer Citadel freezes the game unless it's in it's original resolution. But it was a good opportunity to spot unidentified items and find more stuff to sell.
And once more, Diriel refuses to continue the romance. Let me witness the horrors of your love damnit. I could've been a gnome! Or a half orc! Or a halfling! Maybe even a dwarf! Checking it out more, seems like it's on hold until I deal with these damn snakes. Or well. I hope so. I'm not playing an elf again.
Tried to use the console to see how the variables were but just got "Nice try cheater". CTRL+Y everything is sounding so tempting now. So that's a sign to do something else now.
But some good stuff to end the post with. Really enjoyed telling the Bane-ite he was a coward and a fool. Guessing this is the point where that subclass gets to shine. Got one combat encounter lined up perfectly. Peony was a bit separated from the group and surrounded by Harpies. Got her to cast the projection sphere and then just rained fireballs on her. So much roast chicken and not a singe on my companions. And the niece finally showed up and she was hilarious. Oh and the Mindflayers weren't too bad. Again Domination is broken so the dominated one never seems to attack and most of them ended up fleeing into other planes of existence after a moment with me. A skill I know many wish they had.

Mildew Children Finished the game. There're 12 chapters for the game and each isn't long. The story is ok I suppose but I find some of the obstacles very silly. For example, I spent most of chapter 2 transporting a parchment back and forth. One sheet of rolled up paper. MC said she cannot be caught with the parchment. Said parchment was hung on her belt as she moved back and forth in the village, avoiding groups of people. Bloody h*ll! Can't she tuck it in her dress???? It's nonsensical filler which undermines enjoyment and story / world immersion. I think the inspiration for the story is lifted from Logan's Run. In Logan's Run, everyone over the age of 30 is supposedly to undergo the cycle of renewal until Logan found out it was otherwise. The same with the people in the village except that this story is set in an era that resembles the Bronze Age. Women are not allowed to read nor write. Only the men are allowed to. Enshrouded I discovered a problem with the building blocks. I cannot get them to face the same direction. If you look at the left red pillar of the wall for the door and the right, the pattern at the bottom are not the same. Yet they are when I placed both pillars in their places but once I filled in the walls, the right pillar inexplicably turns to the other side. No matter what I do, I cannot turn it back. This is very annoying.

What day is it? I've been immersed with Crusader Kings III, that I have neglected my BG3 playthrough despite making it Baldur's Gate for the first time. I am still playing as King Alfonse in the Iberian campaign and have been enthralled by the kingdom management system.

Lies of P (Pinocchio) Taking a break from renovation in Enshrouded. 😁 I bought this when it went on sale last year. Game play reminds me of Steelrising. It's not anything like the Souls game. There's no jump ability. There're rest / revive points which will reset enemies if used. So far it's straight forward. World; retro steampunk like. Premise for the game is; someone discovered a unique power source and used it to power up puppets which in turn spawn a leap in innovations and building. Puppets are govern by four laws. They are to help humans, obey them, never harm them (like Issac Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics) and never tell a lie. One day, however, the puppets went berserk and a massacre took place in the city. Survivors locked themselves away. The MC is a unique puppet, activated by magic, I think, sent by a woman called Sophia. His mission; stop the madness in the city. On other games Just found out some stuff. Looks like I'll be saving a lot of $$. I don't think I need to bother with Cyberpunk 2 nor the next Witcher game. At this rate, I'll be replaying old games. Good? Bad? Good, I should think. Save $$$ and revisit old favs. Besides, I bought several games in past years that I've not played yet. Forth coming games this year on my list; Black Myth Wukong God of War Ragnorok for PC Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Greedfall 2 Life is Strange 4 So Max Caulfield returns and she's older, still have her powers. I didn't buy #2 and #3 as I've no interest after watching game play. Not sure about #4. I did enjoy the first game though. A purchase will depend on the game play / story, characters / dialogues I see.

HFWI did some of the side quests around Plainsong. I also managed to clear a camp via stealthy at 99.9%, the last boss had a cutscene and knows you are there so...Booo, my perfect stealth camp clearing run died there. The boss too. And stupid post boss death cutscene that stopped me to loot all the things (happens often, I hates it).
I found a sharpshooter bow before doing that, it helped with the stealth killing...
I'm wondering how much I have to "grind" to improve my weapons/gear to finish the game. I'm thinking of aiming for just the main story. The reason I'm saying that is because I'm kinda thinking of playing Skyrim again.

Eh stick with HZD FW and enjoy the game, you'll tire of Skyrim within 10 hours easy. I got into it then my PC died and after reinstalling all the mods I got about 2 to 3 hours into it again and then stopped and literally uninstalled it two days ago. Re the upgrading I didn't find I needed to grind to upgrade till I got to The Legendary stuff and by that time it was unnecessary. IF you do the side quests and kill stuff as you explore you should be fine in getting materials to upgrade weapons but I try and focus on the two main weapons I use and not worry about upgrading starting weapons and gear. Same with outfits and if you find one you like stick with it. If you find a new one just stick with it till you find the resources unless you REALLY want to grind for the resources but the grinds aren't usually too bad till the gold stuff. EDIT: Sharp Shot bow IMO is the best and most useful weapon in the game especially for stealth stuff and starting a fight, especially using the Ranged Master Valor surge.

Ok, so we get through a few places (turns out the Death Grove place was larger) and we make our way towards the infamous Lamenter Gaol. There is one item here that should help you with the boss but (the lamenter patty) we didn't use it. The place is another maze as you might have guessed but, we conquer the place:

Icewind Dale 2Again pretty long so in the spoilers it goes. Also has some spoilers so it fits. Cleaned out the dead in the first part of the village then went to deal with the snakes. Found out that they keep respawning near the tree, but you don't get xp for culling them so reloaded, did business on the outskirts of the screen then bolted to the portal. Murdered my way through the woods and tried to sneak into the temple. Was going to blame Diriel for our cover being blown, but bear or not it kept happening. Turns out it was Peony. Can't leave a person outside the temple, keeping her out of sight is useless too since they can smell her or something. So exported her and deleted her from the party. Filled her slot with Nikosh since there are traps and rogues would be handy. Except unlike all the other characters, his higher level import is multi classed. To Diviner. But he has no spell slots. And his search is too low to spot the one trap I really want to disarm. So more feeling peeved. So spammed through the romance talks to calm down. Since Rizdaer has been aggressively hoarding the talks he's gotten the furthest and turns out I'm one talk away from being locked from Jamael. Which is a bummer. So put Rizdaer on ice for a while. Maybe he'll finally get through his friendship talk backlog. Then took Peony back and murdered the temple. Because the other route is fighting a dragon and not from the itty bitty committee. Also. Loot. Did then square off with the dragon and managed to pull off a victory with one dead. Neat. Reloading and retrying all ended in failure and I had one resurrection scroll, so eh, splurge. Then try and chat to the hunters and they are like "Dude run the portal is closing" so hoof it to the portal and as they are piling up trying to squeeze inside I get a lovely game over message. Neat. Reload again and hoof it straight to the portal, right into hell. Or well Kuldahar but the encounter was painful. So many enemies. Rizdaer also bit the bucket so splurged a Resurrection on him (over 13.000 gold) because I'm not doing this mess again. Diriel's romance option has still not appeared in the dialog menu. I can still flirt with him but figure his tainted love will remain a mystery. Perhaps for the best. Go to Dragons Eye, do the bridge of fire and some looting. Quicksave and go back to see if the Wyvern tails are worth something. 500g. Granted no one is actually buying it, but if someone does I'll be set. Hildury pipes up about magic and okay talk about that and resurrection and then next talk she asks Diriel to kill and revive her. Excuse you. No. No no no no. Alas, not an option and he does it and in doing so freaking breaks her dialog script. Guess it's good I was planning on reloading but Ugh. If I get the dialog to work again there better be an option to chew them both out. So reloaded and enjoyed the fabled Dragons Eye. Or suffered through it more like. Got stuck a couple of times. It's kinda picky on the order you do things and who or what progresses the plot. So used the guide a lot. Used all the Wyverns tails to make poison, so no big pay day for me. Currently doing the time warp in the basement. Looks like a pain and a half. Think the area concept is neat, but could've done with some stream lining. Since you need to talk to A on one map, find B on another map, talk to A again on the first map so you can get the quest to find B's sword on the third map, deliver sword to B on the second map, go trough two maps to get to a small side area on the second map to get a flower which you need to show to A and so on and so forth.
Instead of talk to A, find B and he asks for his sword, you get the sword and he shows you a short cut to the small side room to get the flower and so on and so forth. And finally good things. Aside from being sent back and forth I did enjoy the questline above. It was weird but fun. Going to the jungle through the portal was a neat change of pace and if the disguises had worked proper I would've enjoyed the infiltration. Been getting some more returning throwing weapons which is neat. And Diriel can shift into a different type of bear. And a panther too but the bear is so tanky and strong and my bags are so heavy. Oh and got a third dead cat. And can buy a fourth one for 1000g, which is a steal. Also been using a lot of animate dead spells so figure she'll just raise the kitties to their zombie self if she ever gets home.

Icewind Dale 2 The Magma caves are an interesting idea but had some annoying little quirks. Like hostile magma mephitis. They don't really do any damage and are not hard to kill, but you needed ranged to reach them and they'd move out of range and the ai would try to get clever with pathing to get them in an area with annoying layout. You'd also get no xp nor loot for downing them either. Figure they were added to spice up the walking section, since there was a lot of walking, but they ended up being more of an annoyance than anything and distracted from taking in the story that was happening. Because it was pretty interesting. Again, think it would've benefitted from stream lining, but might be quirk of the engine too.
Also appreciate that you couldn't walk into the lava so the AI couldn't get any spicy ideas.
Fields of slaughter was a pain. Mostly the entrance since the game forces you to walk over to the big group of mean people with lots of weapons. The trick with Purifying the water was nice because Liches are my second least favourite enemies.
Checked out Chapter 6 and Diriel still didn't want to talk so did some digging and looks like a script that was supposed to run didn't. So found out how to use Dale Keeper 2 and mess with the variables and the talk triggered. Sounded way worse from the discussion around the fix. So that's good I guess. The glitch was also kinda handy since I figure that talk will lock me out of the other options. Jamael's talks seem like they need to be started before chapter 6, since while I get romance talks I can't start them directly in the dialog menu so not waiting around for that.
Since I had the console open I decided to do some more testing and seems I can still have the talk with Diriel in Chapter 6, even after having exhausted Rizdaers chats. So I should be able to have two thirds of my cake and eat it, then ctrl Y the last third into oblivion if I so desire.
So just need to make a nice and ready save file for Chapter 6, aka put the game in tiny mode so I can see unidentified inventory items and sell them at a profit. Did do the identifying but the hoarder/lazybones won out so ended up keeping most of the stuff. Never know when a sturdy stick will come in handy eh?!
Did get the Holy Avenger. Granted don't have a paladin, but the XP was more than worth it. And now I can cast my favourite spell from BG2 Horrid Wilting so it will be fun to see how it fares in this one. Granted could cast it for a long time since the braces you get for defeating all the ranks in the Battle Square do also give you a few casts, but this one has a unique icon so I don't need to squint at the tiny text to see which of the three options I need to push to cast it.
So figure next session will be starting Chapter 6 proper and see how I manage against them Chimeras without Ctrl Y to save my butt.

HFWI was hoping going for the main quest would be straightforward, but nope. Or I picked the worst of the 3 options I had in term of amount of steps and distance to walk... Also, I really hate what they did to the machine combat. The first game had more fun machine combat. Here you are dodging all the times because all the machines just want to mega-jump or rush at you so they can land on you to knock-you down. But I killed a Thunderjaw. I'm pretty sure I was under level for it. I was out of healing items and had 4 hp left at some point. Also, no more exploding blastling or pikes. Just puny acid arrows and 14 of them isn't enough to kill the thing...so lots of running around crafting.
Skyrim
The game has been uninstalled like 6 months max over the years since it released on 11/11/11 on my PC.
But I flushed my previous mod install when I moved to Linux, so I had to install anew. But now my comfort game is back, prettier then ever with cooler features even!
I made a wood elf for now, but this is mostly to check if the install is stable and doing well. And compare lighting and weather mods.
I'm still on the look-out for new mods. For example, someone released a Bestiary a few days ago, you unlock entries by kill things, the modder really put efforts into it, comes with pictures and stage of data unlock. Even a kill counter. I also installed some of the my old favorites.
Anyway, I'll try to not dabble too much in it until I'm done with HFW.

So, we hurry it up towards the other Ghost Dragon and this one is a b---- as the summons won't work at all. It isn't until much later that we make this thing go down but man, talk about a BS:

Crusader Kings III
I scrapped my Iberian campaign after watching a video and tutorial for beginners, and I made a lot of rookie mistakes. I read on an old reddit post that we can restore the Roman Empire with either the Byzantine Empire or the Holy Roman Empire, and since I am a classical history buff I want to restore Rome. I also want to try two mods one is called Princes of Darkness set in the World of Darkness which is the setting for Vampire the Masquerade, and Elder Kings II a mod set in the The Elder Scrolls universe.

Lies of P This game plays like Steelrising but the devs are different. Path is linear and there're always devices to activate and act as FT along with basic equipment improvement / change. There're locked doors once unlocked serves as shortcuts. Bosses to fight is also typically found at the end of a chapter. Like Steelrising, SQs can be picked up from survivors by speaking to them at windows. The NPCs are voices so if someone is heard crying or mumbling, it's always best to check it out because it can be a SQ. I've picked up one gramophone record so far. It seems listening to the music from these records at the base will help to humanise Pinocchio. I guess this also affects what kind of ending the player will get. Interaction and responses with the SQ NPCs is also a factor. Unlike Steelrising however, Pinocchio has a little companion with him. A speaking Cricket called Gemini who lives in the lantern P carries around. He responds to situations, pass comments and generally fills the silence with his ... cricketing. Well, he tries to liven up the atmosphere. There's no response available for the player though to answer back.

Icewind Dale 2 My collection of dead cats grows. Counting 5.
Entrance of the Severed hand was a pain. First two times they killed Diriel and Rizdaer then the third time decided to be a charm and they seemed to melt like butter. But was feeling frustrated so ran through it with a guide.
Got stuck on Xvim but turned out I can't count and should've been using my 5+ weapons instead of trying to go for his elemental weaknesses. In a fitting turn of events Rizdaer's bedding talk triggered once I killed Xvim and restored the statues. Nothing like a little archaeologic restoration to get you in the mood am I right?
Also realized I didn't pick Horrid Wilting but Flaying which is disappointingly non gory since it sounds nasty. But fixed it on the next level up.
Did actually win the final battle on the second time (first time I got absolutely destroyed). Had kinda given up since Algerna, Rizdaer and Salomeya had bit the dust and the rest was dominated but figure I'd at least see the rest die. Also Ctrl + Y didn't seem to be working. So was reading the guide for the final fight while waiting for domination to run out and found that I only had to bring one of the siblings to "Almost Dead". The boy was Badly Injured so in a last Hail Mary I had Peony toss chain lighting at him and that brought him over the edge. Then the game froze on Oswald ship because my resolution wasn't in it's itty bitty form. Admittedly that was the mods fault and naturally there is no autosave. My joy is boundless.
Since I couldn't CTRL+Y the siblings since they can't "die" due to plot, I found the next best thing, which is CTRL+R to restore the parties health. So switched the game to easy and won by attrition.
Romanced Rizdaer and hot damn that end was disappointing. Like finding the half of a beetle in the last piece of the delicious cake you were eating. The proper ending was also a bit lacklustre but that was to be expected.
After some venting I reloaded the save, triggered the talk with Diriel and wrapped the game up with him as the romance. All mortal enemies got hit with CTRL+Y and the siblings stared in despair as our health never seemed to deplete. It was satisfying.
Ended up finding his ending pretty enjoyable. In the case of eating a meal that you normally hate but it's cooked so good it's almost pleasant. Ish.
Last thoughts. Enjoyed the journey a lot even if some bits were kinda rough and the ending was kinda disappointing. Not really raring for a second go right now, but glad I finished this one. Would probably not have made it through without the mod, since I vastly prefer the chatty banter system of Baldurs Gate 2 and having some bickering to read through made the journey easier.
Been feeling kinda hype to either start Planescape Torment (Have made it to the final boss but the game kept crashing during the fight) or Wrath of the Righteous (If I find a guide because the FOMO is killing me). Somewhere from the pile Trails of Cold Steel 3 is screaming at me to go back as well.
