So finished "A Date with Death" this evening and was a bit annoyed because I stopped at 5pm having finished day 6 then logged back in at 7-30pm thinking I'd try and finish the game. Well it was all over in about 15 minutes. Overall, it was very enjoyable but I was disappointed with the ending I got. It only took me 4 hours so I may play it again tomorrow to see if I can get a better outcome this time now, I have a feel for the game. My process for answering for half the game was don't hesitate just make a choice so I guess I stuffed something up. In all honesty I was very unsure near the end when I was choosing, what the "right" answers were. I was surprised with the ending I got because all the feedback and where the story was going was really positive so will have to think a bit more carefully next time. Rascoth and LadyofNemesis feel free to drop some spoilered hints as to choices. Spoilers Ooooof That's the full bad ending. As for what leads to this ending, quoting official guide: Pick more negative choices throughout the game, don't water your plant on any of the days, then on day 6 choose: "Vaguely, yeah." just before the first call, and "I don't mind. I'll take the sickness. The taint." I don't know if you need to do all that, but most likely enough to outweigh other endings. There's 4 base game endings and one for currently released DLC. If you're interested how to achieve other endings, their official guide is pretty useful. Has all essential info while not spoilering much. twoandahalfstudios.itch.io/a-date-with-death/devlog/647209/ending-guide-spoilers Spoilers I did not even know I could water the plant!!!!!!! I did interact with the cat and check the door and eavesdrop every time, I wonder if the latter was the clincher as the sob story on the other side may have sucked too much of "Tabitha's" soul. I didn't always choose what I thought was the acquiescing/happier/positive ending and that is what was quite confusing. I got to the point where he appeared then gave flowers and assumed that all was going well. To my ignorant perceptions it just seemed something went really bad at the end and maybe that was because I was too positive, cheery, clingy in my choices. I wonder how the family choices etc. and whether you have been in a relationship before. Those were ones I may have stuffed up plus I chose that I was a writer and Grim comments that is a demanding role, wonder how much of an impact that has.

Trails of Cold Steel 4.Cracks neck. Time to play the prologue. It was a blast btw. So many returning faces. Time to get used to the voices. Actually can't even remember if Trails in the Sky was voiced at all. The intro video was around half an hour btw. Had to close and reopen the game because I forgot to set up the Xbox button controls and don't want to be caught fumbling trying to remember where triangle is on the PlayStation. That feeling when Estelle's Wheel of Time hits you so hard the whole encounter gets smashed underground. Thankfully there was just some confused pathing during the fight and then things went back above ground for the cutscene. I'm all for the Rean Hype Train but the big lecture felt kinda silly. Even more when it was revealed that the old class had in fact just been moping. Like. Dudes. You kicked butt on your own in the second game. Wish they'd rather gone "Yo we were actually doing stuff, like gathering info and making connections." than "Oh thank you for bringing us out of our lil funk". The inspirational speech was nice though. Game is looking good. But hoping the Orbments/proper combat starts soon so I can get more of a feel for it. Also there is Pom! Pom! Party! in the game and I wanna play. And then presumably want to toss it in the ocean when I realize I'm rubbish at it.

Rascoth and LadyofNemesis feel free to drop some spoilered hints as to choices. Spoilers Oh...oh dear...I don't like seeing Grim like that, my poor baby
I managed to get both ending 5 and ending 3 I'll spoiler tag each, also...keeping your plant alive also counts toward good endings it seems xD
Ending 5 Rings (aka. marriage ending)
Basically joke with Grim about "marrying" him at any opportunity on day 5 say "want to meet the in-laws, Grim?" then on day 6 take the "how about a shotgun wedding?" option
Ending 3 (this is the first one I got, and currently my favorite ) Mine (aka. you win the bet, and Grim comes to kinda live with you)
Flirty banter whenever possible on day 6, the following options (I didn't take all of them, I kinda got a mix between ending 4 and 3 xD) "you really know how to sweep me off my feet" and "how do I stop? What if I give it all away?"
For ending 4 you need to have the dlc, and ending 1 is a bad ending as well
Re ending 5 It's funny because I did that all except maybe the shotgun wedding one but maybe I did!!!! Re ending 3 And I definitely flirted with him every time that I can remember and I could have sworn I chose both those as well????. As I mentioned in my spoilered post to Rascoth maybe you know or have more thoughts. What impact do the family choices you make have and does the eavesdropping have an affect?

So Rascoth LadyofNemesis reading the spoilers cheat sheet I think I may have been completely sabotaged by my following choices: Of not watering the plant (did not know I could) and choosing "Vaguely Yeah" and "I don't mind I'll take the taint" on day 6.
So all my good work before was undone. Sorry another question If you play as a male is Grim still male or do they change to female?

GW2
I did some of the map group events in SoTO maps today (along advancing the story). One of them is fighting a Dragon Age Inquisition like Blinky except he has tentacles instead of spider legs and his eyes have names (they are target practices for the skyscale's fireballs). And he's probably x4-x5 bigger too. It's actually one of the more fun map group event in the game. I've done it twice (I basically logged into it the 2nd time, lol).
Otherwise, the next two maps are more fun than the first one in the expac. Too much fighting in the first map.
Weaver still going great, although my hand is a bit tired. Elementalists aren't called the piano class for nothing.

I think I finished Fallout 4. I blew up the Institute and the BOS airship. I got a very short grey monologue which didn't really tell you anything about your decisions, which I assume is the ending. I finished up sticking with the Railroad because Preston Garvey stopped giving me any new quests. I got 3 at once right after the Castle, and then no more. I had been trying to get the maximum 20 settlers in every settlement, thinking it would help me down the track, but it doesn't. i.imgur.com/3MBmWCe.pngAnyway, I have started again, I want to see how many settlements I can claim without joining any faction. I've already got Tenpines Bluff. I thought it might have required joining the Minute Men, as it's the first settlement they send you to. But I went straight there and they asked me for help with some raiders, and gave me access to the workshop when I returned. I'll be keeping much smaller settlements this time. Easier to keep them happy, the less settlers you have.

Rascoth and LadyofNemesis it was definitely your influence. It's not that I wasn't enjoying it is just that I am coming from games where the action is so full on and so it's hard to adjust to not being in threat of dying and just making text choices if that makes sense. Need to just relax and enjoy the story. Yeah that's why I go timnt ogames lik eMidnight Suns a syou can tak your time with them. As it' ssometimes nic et opla ya slower moe rstrategic like game Yep after I am done with DIablo IV and Baldur's Gate 3 I am going to replay both Dragon Age: Origins and Midnight Suns.

Diablo IV
After making it to level 14 with my necromancer I had to scrap him and make a new one because a new season had started, because I couldn't bring him over my first necromancer to it.
Anyway the good news is since I play on tier 2 my character levels up fast. But that does not mean the game becomes boring. The enemies scale in difficulty with the player.

Well literally just finished playing again and got the achievement for watering the plant and making it bloom, and won the bet with Grimmy!!!! yay!
I think some of my most favorite answers to his questions are about your job and such Some jobs he's all "meh that's boring", and on others he's really intrigued. Like...for my MC I went with being an author of romance novels, and he was really pleased with me being a writer on a different playthrough I went with being a teacher and he was all "why would you want to spend a whole day with whiny kids?"
The funniest reaction is if you say you're a mortician, since he sees the irony of him being a Grim Reaper and you basically working with dead people

It's during day 2, he asks you what you're busy with, and during that you can say "work, obviously" He then asks what kind of work you do, and then you get a series of options to choose from.
It also gave me a really funny option during that same day, where I told him he should consider a career change to vampire and then there was this dialogue that was all "white haired vampires are in right now" and funny enough there's this CG, where he's dressed as Astarion from BG3 In-game he uses it as his profile pic on one of the days as well

Fallout 4So bit of a pickle here. THink I discovered that I forgot Strong, think I even discovered it earlier but well think it would be unfair to not at least do some running around with him. But at the end of the day to also still running out of quests at least that I know of. Could break my promise and try doing radiant quests and hope I bump into some along the way and a few more minor chores I can do...but otherwise partially getting to the point where I am just wanting to move on, as I have stated and well...this is starting to feel like a natural conclusion. And will still be advancing the plot at least a little in the future. So not really that much of a surprise but I found Strong in Trinity Tower. Also completly random and unexpected place to find him as well. Still a fun little quest getting to clear out more Super Mutants with Brotherhood support. Also a lot of running and gunning. I did go up and well got a bit tired of sneaking around so I went guns blazing with the Tesla cannon. Kind of gave me some pause because Mutant Boards actually do a significant amount of damage and I got stuck once. But they were little match for me ultimatley. Strong is kind of a fun case with his 'milk of human kindness' thing. Big set piece of course is speaking of things to do that I wanted to do but didn't quite know...running down a lead for the Railroad led me to Agent Blackbird. The Dead drop was at the edge of the Quincy Ruins...which also had all that juicy history with the Minutemen and the Gunners. I died a couple of times to traps and once to a nuke I believe...and also got at least one minuteman on one version of reality. And well the Gunners are one of my favorite factions to throw down with and got a lot of experience so it was a bit of a grind but super fun. Bonus points that we had all of three bosses in one area as well..and one of them was named Clint. Clint faught Clint. Tanky bastard though. On the flip side though I got a LOT of supplies from him. When I finally got back to the Railroad I ran Tinker Tom out of money and ammo effectively and still had enough left over to unload 1100 caps worth of stuff onto Cavanaugh but then I did buy some more aid stuff which gave me about two hundred bonus so almost ran him out of money too.

I figure by the time Outlaws comes out, I'll have just finished Ghost of Tsushima's Iki Island DLC, and before I dive headlong into Outlaws I'm going to go back and finish Burning Shores (and will strongly endeavor to stay away from the Outlaws thread on here)

Edit:
Okay, so I went to check, and the answers for the jobs are base game ones
So I clicked on the mortician one to remember what it says xD MC: I work as a mortician, actually... Grim: shit, really? MC: yes Grim: that's kinda hilarious xD MC: I'm glad you find my profession hilarious/ I have to admit, it's a little funny Grim: it sure as hell is. what are the chances? a grim reaper and a mortician. it sounds like the start of a joke. two people who deal with death. very interesting indeed

Trails of Cold Steel 4.Act 1 ahoy. Still playing with a guide and it splits the three acts into three so I'm almost 1/3 through act 1. Been enjoying some quality of life changes in the game. Like there is now a checkmark when you fully scanned an enemy so scanning through and seeing if I missed anything at the end should be a breeze. Chests are also counted in the main menu, so I can catch missed chests earlier and not have to suffer at the end grabbing the last chest and then realizing I probably missed one in a backtrack side room in act 1. Got access to quarts manipulation so that's nice. This game brings back 2x upgradeable slots so that will be eating up some sepith points for now. Kinda happy the abilities are connected to quarts now instead of needing an x number of this and that type. Easier to get the abilities I want this way. Combat is sitting on the fence of being pretty easy and really frustrating. They also nerfed the break status and it's tragic to get them into a break state which they'll then get out of in the turn right after. Like let me at least get a hit in Am 3 AP points behind the guide since I'm too lazy to redo a long fight to do another long fight which I don't get a retry on if I semi succeed. And it was so close too. But think I have 26 point lee way so I'm fine. I hope. Maybe. On the other hand the cutscene before the fight was hilarious. Anyways, got Mona back and she's now snug on Kurt's arm. Could actually buy a bunch of her for everyone, but it would feel a bit less special. All in all a fun session. Edit: Ended up reloading and doing the two fights. Thankfully there is retry if you completely fail the fights and you just have to do the current section, so could scan, die, kick ass, scan, die, kick ass. Did skip the cutscenes though since while Gilbert is a treat and a half I did want to get the fighting done asap. Now I get to replay Vantage Masters with Elliot next session. My two favourite things, mushed up in a ball.

Yeah I think I chose Freelancer this time and he was jealous I could pick and choose when I worked. I think I just missed the choice of mortician. Yeah I had that vampire conversation with him today, it was fun. hm, it's possible that the mortician answer is only available with the dlc, I'd have to check to be sure though

Funny I took a bit of time deciding but I obviously overlooked that one as who wouldn't choose that option, it's pretty ironic and funny.

Fallout 4
So me getting back into the flow of this game continues I guess in a way. Also made sure my wife was up for part of it since she has enjoyed watching me for the most part and well other reasons. Of course there are problems popping up here and there as well but this is all centered around me getting the next thing I have been looking forward to. The Gaus rifle.
My plan ran into a slight hiccup though since I thought to myself, loosely, if I got my hand on the Gaus Rifle to make it my new 'heavy' sniper rifle and then upgrade Tinker Tom to .50 to give it a little oomph. Though real fast I did find it quite hillarious that you can actually put a Suppressor on the Gaus gun but then that is not what I was going for so not availing myself of the option. Wifey did also let me know that she has modded the game where you could put any mod on any gun which sounds like it potentially could be fun but since I decided to maybe put my end game blitz off it maybe is something I will look into, maybe even for a potential other PT or DLC PT if I ever get to them. Also gave me imputus to look into the Combat Rifle to see how much I can modify it. Again future information if I remember which is also unlikely. With all this though went to go sell all my .308 ammo because didn't think I would need it...and I ended up needing it because I did not have enough gear to upgrade my sniper. And by the time I got back to Kleo her inventory reset so I lost it. But then soon there after I was able to secure the right materials and upgraded the weapon. On this note to thinking of maybe planning out and upgrading my settlements a bit finally if I can get my weapons fully upgraded because at this point I think my kit is more or less set. Just I am about eight levels away from unlocking science 4 and gun nut 4 which I think is neccessary to fully upgrade my weapons.
Also kind of explained my reasoning to the wifey that I was trying to not get fully invested in the playthrough and she was pretty understanding. But now I am actually getting pulled back in. The trouble is that I still am lacking things I *know* to do. So I think I am going to start looking up guides and stuff soon, finally, and quest lists to see if I am unaware of things or not and move on from there. Trying to get my skills maxed out that I want and trying to now get a few more set pieces that I've missed so far and maybe a few more additional skills if I can get at them. Like since I have that level requirement likely will start specking into perception to get concentrated fire. And also Gunner HQ.
As for the stuff I did. Well had a lot a fun in the Mass Pike Tunnel. An actual Boston location that has fascinated me in real life. And they did a lot of creepy things with it. The wife and I had a chat about exploring versus guided exploration here. ANd well neat set piece with the ghouls rising out of the water. Proper eerie horror. The trouble is I was having a lot of trouble figuring out why there was so much water and then I realized...Mass Pike is a tunnel UNDER water. It connects like one side of Boston Harbor to another or something so of course. Probably lucky the wholething wasn't entirely flooded. After clearing the area of ghouls and thus completing 'Clensing the COmmonwealth pt 3.' noticed there was some frag mines off one branch of the unnel and since Ghouls don't use Frag mines decided to look into it and there was a legendary Raider at the end of the hall. And in the most glorious shot in all of Fallout I have probably ever did one shot it with my now old .50 cal sniper rifle to the head without Vats. Glorious.
Back to the home base and Garvey just randomly dropped the Castle Artillery quest on me which I decided to do. Quick little quest was a little worried about draining supplies but it gave me everything I needed. Also availed myself of the opprotunity to scrap a bunch of stuff just lying around.
Wrapped up with finding Virgile and following his Courser lead. Pretty funny sequence of events to in the end because a lot of nice tid bits happened here. This quest is kind of reminicent of the Thane stuff. Just going up a tower chasing your target while also having to deal with a third enemy faction (in this case the gunners). So your two factions can kind of just wipe out the gunners in the middle as you work your way up clearing it. Bonus points I was still in my power armor from the Glowing Sea (figured I needed the extra protection just in case). Also discovered that despite the read out, at least on the power armor, topping out at 999 your ammo continues on even more. Got up to 1053 Fusion Cells. All of this contributed me to think I would have a super easy time against the Courser. I am effectively a walking juggernaught/ armory at this point. But forgot that he could A heal himself and B had a stealth system. Caused a slight scream of panic but got through it easily enough.
And well two more notes. First off I forgot to, not usually a problem...that I noticed. But have mentioned it occasionally I am color blind, a bit. I don't notice it outside of Madden but here I was facing off against a mine after disarming it and wife was like 'you don't see the 'take mine' prompt? And I thought she was implying the game was glitching, I thought it was, but then I realized what she meant so I changed my UI color to a more blue to make it easier to see. But long story short I really have gotten the dandruff up to try and see if I can't see exactly which color blind I am that way I can start taking advantage of accessibility settings finally because now I know it can legit effect gameplay.

GW2I'm in the last chunk of SoTO now. Not sure how long is left, but probably like 3 missions left to do. Hopefully no more "do events" stuff because I've done enough (way too much in fact). They probably realized they were padding way too much with that, because the last one was "do events or adventures". Adventure being timed activities (I've done two, they were not too bad even if I only got bronze, but there is on I didn't understand exactly what to do until I was halfway the timer ).
The Demon realms is more interesting than the Wizards stuff...but at the same time, too much fighting and story wise, it's a bit "why am I bothering doing this exactly". The commander was really bored after resolving the Dragon Cycle... Demon politics. Really...
And sometimes I feel like they copied Dragon Age demons a tiny bit. They have aspect of the 7 sins, feed on emotions and dreams and copy-paste the real world. That's about where it ends thought...and no spirit turning into demon.

Fallout: London has recently received a patch fixing the crashes once you're outdoors. I would reinstall it but I am far too deep into BG3. I've been playing since release with the same character and am only now in act 3 the final act. This is the first game I have ever played that has taken me so long to finish, and it's not because it's a bad game or too difficult, but it's because I had the game since early access and spent so much time in the first act that to me it feels like the game should've ended once the act was finished. Also I am currently playing DIablo IV which I really like also. I have to redo the beginning because a new season had started.
