So started playing A Date with Death due to the positive comments on here, got through Day 1 and got two achievements already - Woo Hoo. I got a few laughs from it already but I am not sure it is my type of game but will give it some more time tomorrow as I was a bit rushed today. Can someone who played it tell me how long it takes to play time wise and also is there a specific number of days that you play in game?

LadyofNemesis Seems there's another victim Joking aside, I'm glad you're giving it a try, even if it turns out not to be your cup of tea. I certainly am not one for visual novels, but that one positively surprised me. As for your questions: it's not long - one ending took me around 3h and that was with me getting distracted by mini games. And it's 7 in-game days

I was able to finish one ending during a day...and that was including me writing down the choices I picked so I can keep getting the ending I want on future playthroughs without having to guess which options get you which ending
...so far I've gotten two endings, but the one I got first time around is my favorite so far (can't wait for the update this December )

Fallout 4
So guess I am getting to it. Ofifically reaching the part of this game where I seem to be running out of things to do. Of course there is more I want to figure out how to do but then, well, I have gotten into it before. So off we go.
First up I was finishing the mission with the theft at the Brotherhood. And well the guy caught me of course, or more to the point probably caught my companion. Turns out there is a bug in the matrix. So getting my companion to wait and the guy continued on. Led me to the Boston Airport and just had a lot of Ghouls in the tunnels. And well, turns out the guy had a moment of crisis and decided to start feeding Ghouls after the Brotherhood invaded the Airport and just went ham killing them. Which as an aside is quite interesting how the game describes a lot of giant battles...that we don't get to really experience in game ourself. But it did provide a bit of a moral quandry for the game on exactly how to deal with it. Sure, they are Feral and a danger, but there was a lot of them and well get where he is coming from in a way. Didn't really want to hurt him. In the end I passed a speech check to convince him to turn him in...and well Kells is going to send in a squad to clean up the area. SO mission accomplished. Also got a piece of power armor which I think sold back to the Quartermaster. Replaced at least a little ammo that I lost.
On the way out hit the USS Riptide. One of my favorite little zones. Or at least maybe I am mixing it up with another one.

Rascoth and LadyofNemesis it was definitely your influence. It's not that I wasn't enjoying it is just that I am coming from games where the action is so full on and so it's hard to adjust to not being in threat of dying and just making text choices if that makes sense. Need to just relax and enjoy the story.

Solved the big Hexahedron puzzle in Isle of the Blessed (mostly on my own - the place where I got stuck I was just being a dork, not seeing what was literally right in front of me ) which leaves just the 3 gold puzzles left in this story. Then I can start Into the Abyss.

Horizon: Forbidden West Did the Stars in their eyes quest of Burning Shores. Wishing Aloy could carry one of those ballista's in her pack... All pretty straightforward after that prick of a drone in the defence tower I can understand Aloy's reluctance to tell Seyka why Londra is trying to leave the planet, but watching her have a 'fight' with someone she clearly has feelings for is interesting. She's never had to deal with that in her life. Star Wars Survivor Messed around on Koboh for a bit, didn't really accomplish much but found a few new areas to unlock. Honestly - when I finish Burning Shores, unless BG3 Patch 7 releases early in September I think I'm going to be spinning my gaming wheels until DAVe. Unless Outlaws persuades me to buy it earlier than I otherwise would.

Honestly - when I finish Burning Shores, unless BG3 Patch 7 releases early in September I think I'm going to be spinning my gaming wheels until DAVe. After I finish the Talos DLC I am thinking of doing NG+ plus not sure I'll have enough time for that plus a replay of my Solasmancer in DAI before Veilguard is a real thing. It will be pretty tight, as HFW would be about a month (maybe 3 wks if I skip tedious stuff) and DAI is 5-6wks since I can't not do everything. Not to mention D4's Vessel of Hatred comes out Oct. 8 and Starfield's Shattered Space should be releasing during this time as well.

GW2My internet started to act up at 8pm today. Which is kinda annoying when you are playing an online game. I made it to chapter 8 of SoTO on my Weaver. That's about half of all the chapters available. I should be good to finish this before the new expac release on the 20th. Also, I'm getting used to my Weaver. Well, starting to remember all the weapon abilities and what they do. Weaver have more abilities on weapons then the other ele because of the dual skills too. Right now, I just try to remember where my CC, field, blast and healing is as to not waste them. The rest is smash away because damage of some kind. Well the field and blast are also damage, but you want the field down before the blast for combos!

OK really dumb question, went to play again but when I click start the game seems to begin again from the start but I quick saved yesterday in the middle of a conversation? How do I get the game to start where I left off? "Load" just seems to place a picture in the slot I choose. I feel so stupid. EDIT: 5 minutes later figured it out.

It only took me 4 hours so I may play it again tomorrow to see if I can get a better outcome this time now, I have a feel for the game. My process for answering for half the game was don't hesitate just make a choice so I guess I stuffed something up. In all honesty I was very unsure near the end when I was choosing, what the "right" answers were. I was surprised with the ending I got because all the feedback and where the story was going was really positive so will have to think a bit more carefully next time. Rascoth and LadyofNemesis feel free to drop some spoilered hints as to choices. Spoilers

Fallout 4
Up next trying to do the last little quests before bull rushing the ending. Kind of trying to determine which quests to do and which quests not to do and figuring out what I want to do in terms of tasks and what not.
First up going off to help the Minutemen take the Castle back. Actually did have a bit of fun on the way though as I went through since the Castle was a bit of a hike through the back bits of Boston. Fun bit was during this some Brotherhood of Steel patrols were in the area so went street to street running around clearing out some Mutants. Happened twice. Second time had a suicider on deck and a lot of Muties around so I was beginning to sneak away. Well a Vertibird showed up and gunfire broke out so I snuck back and helped them out.
The Castle quest is a little fun. Coincedentally I picked up a missle launcher that helped out against Mirelurks. So when the Queen showed up, as giant as she is, really helped out against it. From here for the first time started to mess around with the camp system, at least in a concentrated system in awhile. Had to build a radio becon for the Castle so the Minutemen could let them know they were in business. Took me a hot minute to realize what I was doing wrong and the fun part was I realized that positioning things did matter. I actually had to put the generator in direct line of sight because it was beging blocked by part of the radio assembly. Then when I went off to Sunshine Tiding's Co op to establish Mercer station I was having trouble getting resources and remembered there was actually conditions for supply lines to be established. Which weren't met. So I had to ferry back and forth to where I had my main stash to get the stuff I needed to put a radio becon there as well, some finangling and it was done.
Took on Swan as well apart of this and...well didn't get sneak attacks in like I wanted but still knocked down half of its health in one volley of grenades. It came after me, threw rocks at me, and bashed me. Here I disdcovered by eating the Mirelurk Queen Steak, which had a lot of health, my health kept recharging even as it bashed me at full power. The Tesla Cannon also was able to really do some damage to it as I wiped it out.
Did some more Clensing the Commonwealth and may do a few more. I know, radiant quests, but also feeling a little trapped because I wish I could get to the level 50 which seems to be the level cap. Of course I highly doubt I will have the time to do it, but doing some quests will help me maybe grind out some levels. Still only got a couple more I'll probably want to do that and track down the radio signal I got which got me 'Curtain Call'.

That's kind of why I was glad t obe asked to beta test FC25 tbh. As I had a feeling I might wel l hav ebeen which was why I was thinking of playing both the ME trilogy an dAndromeda to pad m yplaythrough's out. I'm stil lplannin gon finishimn gthe trilogy given I've alreda ystarted it as I'm half way through ME2 but I am postponing my Andromeda run now till aftre I play Veilguard I still might b espinning m ywheels to a point but it largely depends on how long it takes me to go through the other DA games first as I plan t odo that before I hit Veilguard. I am enjoyin gmyself with FC25's beta though so I could see myself pushing my first run of Veilguard back a little bit to give myself a little extra time with FC25 when th efull gam elaunches It mainly depends on how much time I spend with FC25 though. Not because I dislike Veilguard but becaus eI want to spend good quality time with both games Plus FC25 already has it's release date so I know when and that it's coming first so if I were to push playing either game back it would have to be Veilguard. I will be downloading and installing it at launch so it's ready to go when I am. It's more I'll likely won't start my firs tplaythrough right away but then it ma ydepend on whether I'v efinished the rest of m ypre Veilguard DA run and where I am on FC25 when Veilguard launches But yeah th enex tf ewmonths is likel ygoing t ob eFifa/FC o rBiowaer cycles and mayb eth eodd other RPG like playing the Horizon games againif I want to do something different.

As for what leads to this ending, quoting official guide: Pick more negative choices throughout the game, don't water your plant on any of the days, then on day 6 choose: "Vaguely, yeah." just before the first call, and "I don't mind. I'll take the sickness. The taint." I don't know if you need to do all that, but most likely enough to outweigh other endings. There's 4 base game endings and one for currently released DLC. If you're interested how to achieve other endings, their official guide is pretty useful. Has all essential info while not spoilering much. twoandahalfstudios.itch.io/a-date-with-death/devlog/647209/ending-guide-spoilers

So finished "A Date with Death" this evening and was a bit annoyed because I stopped at 5pm having finished day 6 then logged back in at 7-30pm thinking I'd try and finish the game. Well it was all over in about 15 minutes. Overall, it was very enjoyable but I was disappointed with the ending I got. Spoilers Oh...oh dear...I don't like seeing Grim like that, my poor baby
I managed to get both ending 5 and ending 3 I'll spoiler tag each, also...keeping your plant alive also counts toward good endings it seems xD
Ending 5 Rings (aka. marriage ending)
Basically joke with Grim about "marrying" him at any opportunity on day 5 say "want to meet the in-laws, Grim?" then on day 6 take the "how about a shotgun wedding?" option
Ending 3 (this is the first one I got, and currently my favorite ) Mine (aka. you win the bet, and Grim comes to kinda live with you)
Flirty banter whenever possible on day 6, the following options (I didn't take all of them, I kinda got a mix between ending 4 and 3 xD) "you really know how to sweep me off my feet" and "how do I stop? What if I give it all away?"
For ending 4 you need to have the dlc, and ending 1 is a bad ending as well

Unless Outlaws persuades me to buy it earlier than I otherwise would. I pre-ordered it and will be reporting back how it feels. Your sacrifice shall be remembered in the coming empire.

Trails of Cold Steel 3Managed to wrap up chapter 4 yesterday. Highlights were: Hugging Elliot. Bunch of Elise and Alfin stuff. I like the Rean is a scary brother stuff but them being shipped is still weird. I did like the demon castle dungeon. It was pretty chunky but also quite straight forwards. Except figure the door switches would be a pain without the guide. Was going to sing it high praises because I thought it was the final dungeon. It wasn't. But if it had been 10/10 easy to navigate, not too bother some mini mooks and each section was fairly short. Lucked out on the big boss and got through him in one go. The absolute highlight was Sara 1 on 1 evasion tanking half of her teams segment. He trounced the team in the first part then she Just. Kept. Dodging. Glorious. Also enjoyed how the final bonding events played out. Both that there wasn't a massive dungeon/fight between doing the required thing to get it and the scene and also that I could pick between romantic and platonic between Rean and the older girls. Because true love is Elliot naturally. And like, the scenes were good too. The end of Chapter 4 was a rollercoaster ride. Still thought I was at the end, so was kinda relaxing and suddenly things felt very, very tense. Then lots of revelations and drama and oh my. Very exciting. Then it ended with a bang and I realized I still had more left so ended up going to bed. Which is good since the final chapter took a long long time. A fun time, but still long. The start was just chefs kiss. More relevations! More drama! More robots zooming about on their heelys shoes! The backing cast being just absolute gems. Build ups to other stuff. Why are there so many plots. The cutscene before the final dungeon was also delightfully wild. The final dungeon was. A thing. It was at least very straight forwards and the story sections were a blast. The mini mooks were a pain, specially after my cheese strategy was yeeted out he window. Booo. I get why they are beefy, the mooks with the most and all but eugh. No. Staph. The mini bosses were fun. Enjoyed it more than in the second game, since this time the group didn't need to be bailed out after everyone of them. They could stand their ground. Very cool, much growth. Final boss was alright. Took two tries because near the end he decided to suddenly destroy the group, but thankfully he skipped that on the next try. Then the game kinda gut punched me with the ending. And then just kept kicking. Like you feel numb and not sure if it's good or not. Like why you had to do me like that. Actually you can't do that! That's illegal. My feels wont allow it! But some good news. I got all the achivos Which is nice because the game was long as heck. Lovely. But long. And I need to see what comes next. But am also feeling exhausted. The best kinds of pains.

I finished Stellar Blade with the Making New Memories ending. The final boss was quite difficult... until I figured out the method to use (which also needed a bit of luck).
My favorite character in the game, despite her brief screentime, was Tachy. She was such a badass in that opening scene. Each time I used Tachy Mode I felt like I was honoring her memory.
