BG3
So I have three surprising encounters.
The first was the mage tower. After the fight, I talked to the Aasimar. Then I popped back to camp and talked to her companion. The dialogue is different. It could be I did not speak her when the Assimar was away as I did in the last few PTs. I waited this time for the Aasimar to return and then initiate dialogue.
The second is the Orin encounter. I usually ran into her in the sewers. This time, she appeared in camp! I think it's because I returned to rest after the attack in the garden. I usually continue. I didn't think it was her but I chose the option that indicated her and she revealed herself.
The third is I ran into a home of a NPC with an interesting cellar. I have the vague impression that I might have encountered him once and only once somewhere in the early PTs.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Finally, we get back on the track to the main game and just head into a very important section of the game:

I've always met her in the sewer straight after. But maybe there's some other trigger.

BG3: Chapter 3 Pt1 The Emperor: Thrust into a fight in the d20 dimension The Emperor finally reveals himself. Asshole. Forces an Astral Tadpole upon me which I have no chance of resisting. Curiously I've easily resisted this both times before, but this time it was roll a Critical or bust, don't think I've done anything differently. I had to download the mod that allows normal appearance to make up for it. Once we are back the talk of the camp is Shadowheart's new look. Not sure whether I should respect her into a Light Cleric now, when the Twilight domain has been serving us so well. Rivington: Re-met the Strange Ox, disarmed some teddy bears, investigated a murder. All the normal things. Went to the circus and picked up a trident for Karlach to throw. Have to be very careful with it as its AOE has damaged my frontliners a couple of times already. First time I've managed to get the Djinn to send me after it. Also picked up the Dwarven Thrower to use at those times. Met asshole Wulbren again. Not many screenshots taken, but I did let Orin monologue a few times
Wyrm's Crossing: Let Astarion meet some brood, first time I've seen that cutscene. Definitely not going to let him Ascend, that sound like a really stupid idea. Went to meet Jaheira's crew. Oops. Met an asshole who refused to accept the evidence. And finally had another run in with Vlaakith. Lae'zel totally blew her off.

He can take it. Also Lae'zel gets extra dialogue in The Emperor's lair, so I wanted her there anyway.

I stepped over to look at the books near the door because there was a note about Stelmane and the Orin encounter triggered. I reloaded because it's still early in Act III and never went down there again. Orin's encounter always happen after I jumped down into the poison trap area. I always enter the sewers near the Basilisk portal.
