Played more The Long Dark. I must be on Survival Try #20. This last failure of mine was really disappointing. I had managed to survival 28 days. I had enough deer and rabbit pelts to get new boots, mitts, and pants and enough food to keep me going for awhile then I decided to go back to the Carter Hydro Dam and take some supplies there so I would have them closer at hand before transitioning into the next zone. While exploring in the building, I lost track of time and, somehow, in the dark with no torch or light source, I walked into something hot and burned to death.... arrgh. So, now I'm starting over again; but I'm not too broke up about it. This one bagged a moose with a single rifle shot one day 2. I just wish he could find a decent set of long underwear and a parka now.

Played some mafia 3 last night, and I did not realize that you needed to do both jobs to give a territory to one of your subordinates. I thought you gave them 1 of the jobs, and the territory was theirs. But when I did the second job for the downtown territory, only then did the territory flip.
And when I went back to the place with the dump, I wasn't able to get the guy to trigger handing over the next territory to me. I ran out of time, but last time this happened to me, I needed to wiretap some phones. So I started doing that again, and I'm planning on checking back with him after I wiretap 2-3 more phones, and seeing what happens.

Fallout4. Did the Silver Shroud quests and since I still looked gangster, I decided to go look for Vick. Went gang banger on anyone who got in my way and found Vick and left the Vault. Yeah, I'm the Silver Shroud. I'm here to kick ass and chew gum and I'm fresh out of gum. Gang banging is a dirty job. Redecorating the color of the fridge. I'm the boss in these parts, you're all just a bunch of nobodies.

dazk I don't really mind how the game plays, but I do wish it would explain more what it wanted. Like when you select guild missions, it just shows you that you should click the left mouse button, but it doesn't tell you that it also wants you to click at a certain spot. Granted it might be more detailed in the manual, but the other games spoiled me on how you could just learn by playing. But at the same time, when I finally learn what the game wants things get really smooth. That being said, the venting helped so much. Because the game is really forgiving when you are not being pent up by irritation. So I'm feeling more of it's charm now . And Connor is growing on me a little by little. --- So, since yesterdays venting helped a great deal, moar Assassin's Creed 3 today. Post ended up going on pretty long, so put it in spoilers. But it's the positive edition today, so yay. Went back a little bit yesterday before sleep and did some liberation missions, which were real fun since there were three horse riders in a row so had a grand old time jumping between the horses. And petting the cows. Also learned that Connor will feed the turkeys, so they rejoiced. And finally found the general store again. Like I thought it had vanished after the visit from the main quest, so the entire time I'd been playing Connor he had zero coins to his name. Then turns out it was just there the whole time, so now Connor could sell his large collection of furs and is now rolling in money. Whoop! Even got some new clothes. Which he refuses to wear in cutscenes. So there is a fun mental image of him undressing and redressing between scenes.
Then today I redid the tea mission, this time 100% it and went back for that boat mission. Played "I'm on a boat" while navigating and that was fun. Wrecked the ship a bit more this time around but managed to 100% it as well. Then back to the main game.
Found a fort in the Frontier which had an open backdoor via a small dock, so Connor got in and sated his blood lust inside, then invited some new guys to settle down there. Was glad they didn't give Connor any hassle, but they probably knew how easily choppable they were.
And adopted some farmers. So now Connor has got milk. Hehe.
Then I died from adorableness since I found a bear lazing around with his cub. And the cub was prodding it's belly, like it was telling it about something exciting and it was just way too cute. Also found some elks wrestling and some wolves messing about. The animals in this game are quite lovely when left to their own devices.
Visited the old camp and said hi to the family. Then found some bobcats, then they found me. Good times.
Had the most brutal of fun in another fort, since I looked stuff up and realized if Connor rides his horse really fast, he can enter through the front door before they close it. So took my revenge for the two other times they smacked the door in his face. Watching those fools run around in terror as he cut a bloody swath through their fort was very gratifying.
Back at the main base, Terry made another strong argument on why Connor should have let him drown. That fistfight was quite something. Ended up getting someone to help me and ironically almost managed to do it on the first try while showing them what to do. But they helped with the final stretch, so that was grand.
Then a bunch of side missions. Found a spooky ghost and hunted a bunch of wildlife.
Then back to the main story. The end of sequence six went pretty gloriously, with Connor gracefully stumbling his way through the objectives and ending it all with a swan dive into a lake. So that was fun.
Then did some more boat missions which were also pretty nice. The bugginess seems to have buggered off, so I could take my time, trying to aim and stuff while crashing into rocks. Sure the ship is on fire, but the others are in pieces. Hehe.
Then wrapped up sequence seven. Boat mission was really frustrating, until I realized how I could game the system. Since restarting from check point leaves you with the items you had when you restarted instead of when you hit the check point, I could just chop the buggers up, farm them for arrows and stuff and then restart from checkpoint and be all sneaky like. Is that cheating? Probably. Do I care? No. Those buggers cheated first with their sixth senses. And Connor was being a proper twit, leaping between walls like a monkey, refusing to get down and be a proper assassin.
Not mad at him though, since the first cutscene of sequence 8 made me chuckle quite a bit. Been getting fonder of him since the tea spilling, since he's finally emoting instead of being completely stoic. Little touches like that smug little grin of his or dislike being fondled. And finally he got a bit mad and it gave me that little human touch I'd been lacking from him.
So TL:DR. Had fun, cooed over animals and am looking forwards to the next session.

So TL:DR. Had fun, cooed over animals and am looking forwards to the next session. Before I forget, you mentioned patting the turkey, if you want to you can google it, there is a way to get a Turkey Easter Egg at the homestead. www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/best-video-game-easter-eggs/Secondly I can't remember how it works with the Captain Kidd missions as to when you do them but the end reward of doing the last one is a really cool/helpful Isu/First Civ artifact that makes it worth prioritising them. The game has some beautiful settings and I just loved the wilderness part. I think I mentioned before the trading system you can access at the homestead is great for making money, you can sell you furs etc and get access to other stuff to help the Homesteaders do their crafts and make new inventions. That QTE between the lumberjacks is my most hated QTE ever, last time I played I got my teenage son to do it. I know Kaidan Fan agrees and hey KFK look Curious Crow is playing AC3.

So I finally did get my first look at Skyrim. I'm staying with friends and played it there. I thought, I would nope out of the game with the first frostspider, but I not only killed them in the starting dungeon, but a bigger one in a later dungeon (the one with the golden claw). So yeah, I passed the first test and so far orienting in nature isn't so bad either. I find the cc catastrophic, the dark elves look like some junkies, the high elves are anorexic and generally it looks a bit meh. If I play Skyrim on my own. I will probably use mods. I made a wood elf because I like archery and magic and so far, she does a good job with both. I recruited a fellow wood elf in the first settlement, I've encountered. It's nice to have a bit of company. Plus he can lure the frostspider away from me

Caused a griefer to rage quit after he shot me while I was fishing in Red dead online. He thought I wasn't going to retaliate, I continued to stalk and kill him for 30min before he finally left the session.

Yesterday I ran into a viscious, stalking Mothman. Bejeezuss he/she(it (?) scared me! And the sound, my neck hairs just rose, shivering i emptied my 10 mm SMG over and over. He did fly fast as eff. He doused me with some neurotoxic spray. When i had him down to 1/5th health he broke off. He left some neurotoxin and some of his wings which turned out to be scrappable to ballistic cloth! Today I met the wendigo that killed all the Sons of Dane. Damn it was nasty! A flock of like 20 ghouls some glowing and that glowing legendary muthafricking wendigo. Well up close my double barrel shotty is in charge. Sleep tight and forever Hunter! So I finally did get my first look at Skyrim. I'm staying with friends and played it there. I thought, I would nope out of the game with the first frostspider, but I not only killed them in the starting dungeon, but a bigger one in a later dungeon (the one with the golden claw). Plus he can lure the frostspider away from me Bethesda doesn't really subscribe to the whole everyone is pretty, clean and voluptous world we get in the modding community. Sometimes i play vanilla look on characters and other times modded. Depends on how gritty i want the world to be.

Today I did most of the end/postgame stuff in Kingdom Hearts 2. Did the few mushroom minigames left and the rest of the Organization 13 hardmode versions. Feels good to take down the harder things this game got to offer. One final foe awaits, Lingering Will and he will fall!

Played more of The Long Dark... extended my survival streak to 50 days before i zoned out and did another completely stupid thing that got my character killed... never try walking about in the fog in the Forlorn Muskeg... weak ice all over the place. I fell in multiple times and eventally just froze to death. Oh well, back to day 1.

Gosh, I am so very addicted to No Man's Sky... Been playing it for 35 hours since Christmas. Fuck. It's VERY grindy, so half of the time I HATE how long it takes to make tiny progress in this game. I dunno how it was before the NEXT update, all I can say is that I get spammed with missions left and right. Currently my side missions are 3 pages long... There is so much to do in this game now, holy shit. OK, this is all mostly fetch quests. You're chasing blueprints and upgrades, that's 99% of the game. I have been to only about 10 planets so far, all of them either deserts, toxic or icy. None of them exactly pretty. No grass or anything. However, there is a certain beauty to them. At least in snapshots because with a procedurally generated world, everything looks the same on a planet. So there isn't any actual interesting exploration to be done on a single planet. The fun lies in landing on a new planet. Then after walking around for 5 minutes you have seen everything there is. So you just farm and farm and farm some more stuff so you can finally finish the endless base building tutorial. It's VERY long! I'm not done yet. Still missing two terminals... I was expecting money to be a problem but so far there is nothing to spend it on. Or rather, I have only JUST discovered through the internet (!) how to even purchase spaceships!!! WTF. Nothing in the game tells you these vital things! I keep finding broken ones but repairing them is an insane time sink. So turns out you can just SELL them on a space station. OMFG. I have yet to try this out. It's past midnight. Gotta go to bed. But daaaaaamn. Boyfriend has already acquired a freighter that I visited and helped decorate with container rooms that he can't craft yet. Multiplayer is pretty cool. It can be wonky at times. Most times it spawns you in the same system but not always. Teleporters are super weird. At first we couldn't use the one the other built. So we couldn't both teleport to the base we were working on together. The internet said you can only use your own teleporters. Which blows. Hard. Then an hour later suddenly I could use his teleporter! We built two really nice bases on a not so bad brown desert planet atop two hills close together. So I teleported to his base but then I couldn't choose my own teleporter anymore on that planet. Some of my tiny convenience bases don't show up in the destination menu with the name I gave them but they show up correctly for my boyfriend now. WONKY. This is us building our first practical base on the second planet we were sent to. This is where I'm doing the tutorial recruiting NPCs. Once I'm done I'll tear it down. The planet isn't THAT ugly. I like the bulb things. The easiest way to make money so far that I have discovered is selling storm crystals. You get about 750.000 units for 5 crystals that I farmed in 3 minutes on this toxic planet: During rad storms they appear all over the map. I currently have about 5 million units without farming money specifically. I found another such planet with mushrooms on it where I built a one room shelter with a refiner. Should I require lots of money, I'll teleport there with an empty inventory for quick cash. The funkiest planet I've been to so far was this one: There was not much to farm there but sure was cool. On the desert planet where we've built our first real houses lives a huge adorable creature. Check it out! They frequently walk up to my house. I love it!!! If you shoot at them they'll smack you and then walk off, lol.

There are different challenge games available. There is also a story mode (Wintermute) that recently underwent a major overhaul (now called Wintermute Redux). There are to be 5 chapters to the story in all and, so far, 2 of the 5 have been released with the 3rd due out during the first half of 2019. The story mode is the reason I asked for the game and I'm surprised as anyone that I'm enjoying the straight up survival mode so much. You really get a feeling of living right on the edge throughout the game and you're fighting realistic elements - animals and weather, not zombies or other monters. It's also an astoundingly beautiful game. There are a few different youtubers running series on it now since the Wintermute Redux update - Cohhcarnage just completed his run of the first two episodes and paulsoaresjr is about midway through his playthrough. You might want to watch an episode or two to see if it grabs you. As I said, I'm surprised, but it has certainly grabbed me. It also helps that it's running essentially bug free on my Xbox One. (The multitude of bugs I kept getting with Fallout 4 is why I've essentially given up on that game even though I was enjoying both the story and the gameplay very much.)
Also, I should mention that I thing the additional chapters come at no additional cost... at least that's what Cohhcarnage was implying during his playthrough. He also mentioned that the game was recently on Steam for a mere $7.00 and change (although I don't know what it's costing on the Xbox).

Poor Connor. Nothing goes his way. At least this session. So more Assassin's Creed 3. Did start up the game yesterday, but my screen was having a mood over it's cords, so that session ended quickly. Found out what was it's issue and fixed it. But I do think it was responsible for some of the bugginess earlier in the game, since I noticed this time that the lockpicking was real easy this time around. Like no pulling me back a stage multiple times since the mouse moved a millimeter to the left. So this time it was soooo much less rage inducing. Also did spot some turkeys, but didn't pull the easter egg on them. But one day I will, because it sounds adorable. Anyways.
Mostly main questing today. Finished Sequence 8 and had a tricky time 100% it, since Connor was way too eager to kill his target and way too reluctant to kill those extra two blokes. Really missed the option to grab a person from the second game so I could put the target in a corner while I dealt with his friends.. Or at least knowing the ability to do so. The sequence itself was pretty good otherwise. Liked every single beat. Especially when he went "Stop, don't kick him" over one of the target. The delivery sounded so bored. It was hilarious. The other stuff was proper dramatic, just had such a chuckle over the delivery on that one.
Then more Desmond. That sequence was okay, but had that little "Oooh I know why!", when all the scantily clad ladies had necklaces. Neck seams, amIrite?!
Then any frustration over Sequence 8 vanished in the next one. Since it had some Kenway! Bonding, murder and a bag load of sass. Love it! And would like more games to do this, have sort of a sassy team up between two sides because the third side is a proper jerk. But seriously, was grinning like a mad lady during those scenes.
Didn't get far into it since my friend came calling for some Sims. Where I did two restarts of a family I've been kinda adoring. First restart was just to edit some stuff, like having them married at the start instead of roommates and second was because in the editing I buggered up some things so the lady only had one trait instead of three, making her a less rounded person. Also the game was pretty worried about somebody missing work, but not sure who since it only called them BLANK. And it would voice it's opinions a couple times in a row, so that was an extra reason to restart. The second restart seems to be going proper, everyone has their traits and no weird little buggy messages about BLANK being at work and their boss frowning if they left early.
So far they've already had three kids, first a one and then twins. Going to stop there, since as fun as it is managing six little screamers it makes the family tree so ridiculously wide. The bloke is doing alright in his business career and she's flourishing as a socialite. Has managed to rope three couples into at least admitting they know her and are willing to attend her little parties. So fun stuff that. Also adoring how they are a lovely couple, constantly seeking to flirt or interact with each other on their own accord or spinning up whims to interact to let me know they want to be adorable. So that was great fun.

Anyways.
The Turkey thing only works at a certain spot of the Homestead if I remember correctly.

This doesn't sound at all like anything I would enjoy, but what is the end goal? Is there one besides "don't die"?
Oh my gosh, having to "survive" or game over, would stress me out so much.

I've only had access to a SWITCH for the past month or so, so I've just been playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Plus he can lure the frostspider away from me I pretty well stick to playing an Argonian because they can breathe underwater and that skill is helpful when you're trying to explore new areas.

Hunting bandits it is. Got "recruited" and escorted to bandit camp. Found the goods I was after and learned the next stop was Cloakwood (once I found it on the map.) So, Cloakwood. Home of spiders, spiders, and yes, more spiders. Oh, and those damn ettercaps with their web traps everywhere. I hate those guys, which is why I made them my elf's racial enemy. Told Coran and Eldoth thanks but no thanks (creeps) and pretended to add Faldorn to the party but then booted her. Hunted down all the wyverns so Coran is now out of a commission. 4 Cloakwood areas and several game days later I finally found the hidden mine.

From my time, I played Morrowind excessively, I love the dark elves. I played every race back then for a while, but I had a soft spot for the Dunmer. But they look really weird in the character creator in Skyrim. So I did go with a wood elf for archery (I mostly love playing an archer/magic build in Elder Scrolls) . I finished the quest with the Golden claw and am now on my way to Whiterun. I have to install and restart the game when I'm home, but at least now I know, I want to play it.I already own the Legendary Edition, I just was reluctant to start such a big game. I am a huge Morrowind fan, but never managed to get into Oblivion, so I was sceptical. I still like the alien and strangely beautiful environment of Morrowind a bit more though. And I could do without those frostbite spiders, but from what I have read, I'm not alone with this feeling

I thought the going into the Oblivion Gates missions were kinda cool, so was the story. The graphics could've been better though and so could the movements. I REALLY liked the game Divinity 2 : Ego Draconis because you got to switch into being a dragon and playing as a dragon was fun. I played a game once that had Drizzt Do' Urden in it, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called, it was my kid's game and she's a BIG Forgotten Realms fan. The Fable games were kinda fun too, at least 2&3 were...don't know if I ever played the first one.

Done with the first third of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Played as Terra and boy is this different from the other KH games in terms of mood and such, that said love it even if Terra could be the most gullible person ever born

Playing Dynasty Warriors 9. The game is pretty bad and repetitive, but I can't help it, I just love DW
