Got my paws on Cat Quest. It was a meowsmerising game and I managed to claw my way through the story in pretty much one go. It wasn't purrfect but the story was quite charming and I had a cat-tastic time with it and it left me feline good. Will have to take a cat-nap before deciding if I want to get more achivos since they are pretty grindy. Also there were fur too many cat-puns. Ooof. But it was quite fun and I'm happy I gave it a try. That was a catastrophically terrible review!!!!!

Fallout 4. Revisited Dunwich Borers and Saugus Ironworks, wiped out the raiders there again. Respawns can be good, more target practice. Went to the Slog next and forcefully made them to start paying my Nuka raiders tribute or else. Now we get income from them now. Went to Far Harbor and find a girl who ran away from home because she thinks she's a synth. Brought Nick with me on this adventure and met his long lost "brother". Ugh these abominations, Alyssa really feels the need to tell the Brotherhood about them, in time. For now, they can be used, its all about the "game". I'm the devil that your mommas warned you about. Not much of a survivalist after all. Meeting one of those Children of the Atom lunatics. Really want to give her a dirt nap. Perhaps later, they could be a tool to use for now.

On Auroa (beta):
Continuing on and I lied...unintentionally but still. This game is way different then Wildlands. Not that I'm complaining since I'm having a blast...a very confused frustrating blast...but a blast nonetheless.
The gunplay is tight as hell. Encounter 1 I was able to snipe a target from 334 meters with my Barret, suppressor on. A shot which would've been impossible in Wildlands without having to correct for bullet drop. Encounter 2 was an experiment of mine. I wanted to see if I could CQC a heave... I could not. He turned and saw me and started pouring led into him...which wasn't doing much, so I tipped my gun up and went full auto into his head... which worked. So far I haven't really found any sniper perches yet... and there has been a lot of running around. Which brings me to the difference... I mean hell at this point its more like I am playing Assassin's Creed with guns then Wildlands. (Or at least how I am playing it right now. Which yeah has its moments because Wildlands was a little rinse wash and repeat in its missions and tactical situations.
The story seems interesting so far. Only thing worth noting here is there is some effort to actually make it longer and more expansive it seems. This is usually done by hunting down clues which will bring you to the next area so there is a lot of walking around from point A to point B, however I appreciate the effort to elongate what I'm doing in the game and giving me multiple things to worry about. But wait...is that a...
It is! An honest to god personality fleshing out dialogue option. Just the one so far so I am not going to get my hopes up that they'll be all over the game but it was still telling and hopefully one day this means we'll get a proper military RPG.
The inventory continues to be annoying. I found out that when you switch guns to a higher level gun it trades in the scope back for the basic scope. Which just...stinks. I mean I guess it makes sense but just more time in menus having to requip my weapons every time I get them, wonder if it works for the blueprints too. That and in typical RPG inventory fashion of late the gear with the higher level may not be the best since the rarity of a piece of gear also gives you perks that can help...the question is though that all the enemies are callibrated for your 'gear score'. So that could be...interesting. On the bright side I figured out the custimization and transmog...as in Oddyssey you actually have had to find an item before you can wear its skin...that sounds wrong. Got my character in a reverse baseball cap and a lot of olive or tan.
Which now brings me to the frustration. First of all the UI seems to be a mess and a half. I so far haven't seen how I can tell how many: skell credits I have, perk points I have, or health. When I was looking on my wife's screen she had her health in normal bars. And also haven't figured out how to do synch shots with the drone yet...or holding breath to line up a shot.
Now doing research apparently with weapons to control your breath you hold in L2 part of the way and not all the way. Which is weird and I have to see about changing it.
The synch shot drones are apparently something you have to craft and equip as a consumable. I actually approve because it turns them into a tactical decision rather then a god mode crutch that I was fearing. That way people can have options on whether to bring them or not.
Which brings me to the most important question: Does this game need a squad? Probably not. It'd certainly be nice but so far I am not having too many problems with it.

Played just enough Witcher 2 last night to find the barber and get rid of Geralt's ponytail. Now he's wearing his hair loose and the bounce is thankfully gone. Started to do the meeting with Loredo but that involved yet another ballista so noped out of that in favor of heading outside the walls to find Cedric, and then do some kayran scouting.

got stuck in Heroes 5 original campaign 4 mission 3. I held the city in the red circle and tried to expand but the enemy heroes kept coming and they were high level butchering my high tier units with stronk magic and finally sent a medium size army to finish me. Probably too hard to finish. The enemy team has just too much more resources.. and I went to Expansion 1 campaign the interesting story of betrayals and heresies in the first 3 missions: the last battle was a tough one

On Auroa (beta):
So ran into my first taste of on again fun, off again, frustration with the game. Though this time it was definitley my own fault.
So yeah got to a point in the game where their base was underground. I knew this going in, found the building which represented the entrance, started poking around even though my cover was blown so I had to hold the rear for a bit. But then I didn't find a way forward...and thought I was mistaken. So I turned around...idiot I was...and walked back up to the surface. I got to the objective point and sure enough...it was underground. So I figured this out, realized I was an idiot, and started heading back. But on the way the game froze talking to someone so I had to restart and then when I restarted I had to go back to the base which now had all the enemies respawned. So had to go back and fight them all. I made it to the top of a building though fleeing fire and drone detection (boy the noise those things make is annoying) and was hapily sniping away...then I fell off said building. Fortunatley the respawn gods took pity on me and popped me right down in the tunnel...where...sure enough if I went forward just a little bit more...I would've seen that just around the corner was the way forward. So I continued on. Threw down with my first set of Wolves, met Walker, met Skell, then got myself safe back to Erewhon.

Witcher 2
Found some interesting tidbits at the kayran attack site, as well as wreckage of a ship it had destroyed.
Took care of the endrega and nekker contracts, then wandered hopelessly looking for the guy who would pay up. Finally found him in the house across the square from the inn. The same guy was also the official postmaster, and he had some interesting correspondence he was sending out.
Happened on some guy with a message from Thaler (I think I missed this the first time I played). Thaler's message was to stick with Roche. Eh....we'll see.
Still not wanting to deal with Loredo, Geralt instead went to see a troll about a bridge. While Loredo had a bounty out to kill the troll, the locals just wanted him to get back to work, so Geralt agreed to see what the issue was. Turns out the troll's wife has been murdered so Geralt put on his detective hat (he did learn a few things from Raymond ) and got to investigating. As luck would have it, the first person he visited (for an unrelated reason) had a stuffed troll head mounted on the wall that he'd bought from one of the local thugs, Dmitri. Geralt tracked Dmitri down (who was putting the finishing touches on the corpse of the guy who'd given Thaler's message to Geralt) and exacted revenge on behalf of the troll. He also won the lady troll's head back from the guy who had it by beating him at dice. This was no easy feat, since he first had to beat all the other "league" players. [Note: dice in W2 is better and worse than in W1. Better because there's only one round per match, worse because the die numbers are now stylized and the game doesn't tell you what each person rolled.]
Next on the list was a ruined hospital and two missing explorers that Cedric had mentioned. Geralt finally found the crumbling building but not before one of the two 'missing' men accosted him and begged for help. Of course they were just minding their own business when weird shit started to happen. Uh, how about no? The place was cursed and those two were up to eyeballs as a big part of the reason why. While I still didn't hand them over to the Nilfgaardian, I did turn them in this time. By the time that scary old lady is done with them, they might wish they'd had their hearts eaten by the ghost. Also found Hospital Notes I-IV but I think there are 5 sections? I got 2 copies of part IV instead.
Will probably do the kayran fight next, leaving all the main quest stuff for last.

Fallout 4. Did Nick's personal quest to find Eddie Winter. Searched the police departments for the remaining tapes that I hadn't found before. Now that we got the combo to open the door, we headed out to find his lair under the donut shop. Had Nick deal out some revenge before we headed up to the surface where he showed me the spot where Nick's girlfriend was gunned down. After this, headed back to Far Harbor to find some tools for the Mariner. (Speaking Bostonian) Eddie Wintah? Yeah my boyo Nick heah is gonna gun ya down, wipe ya out. Why intervene when I can have two enemies fight themselves and I'll kill the winner.

At the end I just kept reloading until I managed to sneak straight for the Seer quest, got the Phoenixes and ambushed Nicolai at last. Otherwise you can defeat him all you like, but he keeps respawning with the same BIG ass army.

Geralt is now the arm-wrestling (another awful mechanic), fist-fighting, and illegal fight-ring champion of Flotsam. Woohoo! So much for keeping a low profile. (I don't think the amount I won was worth the head and finger-aches though.)
He managed to intimidate the incense maker into giving up his best-selling formula, but then refused to turn it over to the guy asking him to get it. We will apparently meet again later.
Enough fooling around though - now he's really going after the kayran.

Hate that damn Kayran fight, I used a Mod to skip it last time!!! I had no issues, other than needing to reload to take the Mongoose potion before the cutscene started (I was planning to but the cutscene started before I thought it would). The fight went so smoothly, Sile didn't have to yell at me even once to use Yrden. And, I found both hot spots of goodies too!
I couldn't put off the meeting with Loredo any longer, since that was all I had left to do. Went to his place, broke the ballista, told him I'd help him get rid of Iorveth, and skedaddled as quickly as I could. Ran into Triss back outside, who had a lead as well. Interrogated an elf on the prison barge, had another memory release, and promptly switched gears to go flower hunting. Decided to let Triss come along this time so I could see the romance scene, even though I'm not really romancing her (think Yenn will believe that later?)
Roche has a really bad habit of showing up where he's not wanted.
Back to the inn to see Zoltan and get him to set up a meeting with Iorveth. That didn't go so well the first time since I picked the wrong line and his archers skewered the both of them. Reloaded and tried to not piss him off again.
Fast-forward to a meeting with Letho so Iorveth could see if he was really a lying snake or if it was a set-up. How about a little of both? Just as Iorveth's men took aim at Letho, Roche showed up again. Ugh - stop spoiling my moments, dude!
Fightfightfight.....Letho escaped.... Geralt is now heading back to Flotsam to rescue Triss from his clutches. Thanks for the help with that, Iorveth. Oh, wait.

Stardew This game is basically repeating some stuff to kick up the skills; farming, fishing, mining. Fishing can be annoying if there's only one control option but fortunately, I don't have to click the mouse button like crazy in the mini-game. My avatar has to bolster relations with the villagers too, do some tasks for them, eventually marrying and having kids. ... sounds like a lot of work. Oh wait, doesn't that exist in the other life?

On Auroa (Beta): So I finished up the main story elements that the Beta provided. Curious note on that it seems like it actually told a lot of the potential story which...really should know better...but then I found the stats page and then according to it that is only 1% of the story. Which assuming that was talking about the main missions...and assuming my math is right...means there could be 500 main story missions..which needless to say I doubt but holy cow. Anyways after that I went onto and did some of the best sniping I have probably ever done. I pinned one of the faction missions which was an assassination mission of a target. Pretty good honestly since there really wasn't any of that in Wildlands... and he was in the middle of a base. So I sniped the perimeter people, sniped the drone, and then one of my kills was witnessed. Which just succeeded in bringing the guy I was after out to play with the rest of his men...then bang bang bang. Got them all. Then I was strutting all confidently around...when a drone spotted me in the middle of the swamp, summoned the Wolves, and promptly killed me. So the rest of it was pretty fine. While I think this game can be played without a squad...at least for me...its certainly preffered. I mean be stealthy, snipe, but it is easy to get overwhelmed by tangos...and get killed. Been getting used to the UI finally...or at least some of it. One step forward two steps back...figured out how to find the missions and side missions in the Objective Board. But then on the negative it is really annoying how you can't change your consumables on the fly from the wheel, you have to go into the actual menu to do it. It would've been far better (and something they have before) to have all the types of consumables together that you can just cycle through. In Bolivia: So the beta ended so I decided to head back to the Wildlands of Bolivia...blowing up drug caches most likely. Also Montoyouc is just the headquarters and crossroads of a lot of convoys. I must've ambushed like 4 of them, which 3 of those were food convoys. Also actually got into my first long range engagement of the game having to adjust for aim on some of them which pegged it at around 400 meters. It was sweet.

Fire Emblem Awakening
last week I'd done the chapter where *highlight for spoiler* Emmeryn dies, so yeah...that was a sad chapter but that means we get to take revenge soon *laughs maniacally*
yesterday I did a side chapter, recruiting Anna (Trickster class) as a new companion I've also been raking up some support dialogues (Sully and Ricken are becoming quite close...never had them do an S-support before, could be fun ) and was able to finally level up Maribelle to level 10, promoting her to a Valkyrie giving her a tome to shoot some spells with
At the end of the next chapter (though doesn't join 'till the start of the one after that) we're getting another new unit, Dancer Olivia (who's very squishy when first recruited, seeing as she's level 1 with a mere 18HP)
I still need to get the next support level between Mystra and Chrom before the end of chapter 11 though...shouldn't be to hard since they're already at A-support (going for S-support since they're my guilty pleasure OTP in this game )

Curious Crow ah well...the intend is there I rather like Fire Emblem Awakening, I've played it a few times now and so far it's my favorite Fire Emblem game I really want to try out the newest as well (Three Houses) but I don't own a Switch yet so that'll have to wait still need to finish two of the three paths of Fates as well, so still got plenty of Fire Emblem gaming to do

Finished up chapter 1 and ended up helping Iorveth free the barge and sail it to Vergen. Geralt played the hero and rescued some elven women Loredo tried to burn alive.
phoray
Unfortunately, I've already been spoiled on the major character reveal on this branch due to reading someone else's PT review some while back (not yours, phoray) but I am looking forward to playing something new for a change.
Also, if I don't have to deal with that pig Henselt, all the better.
Alas, Cedric.

It was one of my great pleasures in gaming letting Roche kill Henselt especially after what he did to Vess!!!!!!! Are you talking about the Saskia reveal , so wish she'd been in TW3

In Madden 18: So back to football for three games or so. Continuing to abandon Baseball it seems. The most notable stat from all three games is that Brady's backup was able to appear in all three games, that is how good I felt I was doing in all of them, and some of the depth players got some snaps as a result. Game 1 against the Bills. Won like 34 to 10. And that was pretty much it weirdly enough. Pretty unremarkable game. Second game against the Chiefs and it started off a bit of a grindy pile drive. The first three drives I all scored in and the Chiefs gave me pretty crappy field position on all of them so I and they were able to chew up a lot of clock and really work it, it was like 17-10 at half. I could not get my running game going for the live of me but other then that my Halfbacks were doing quite well. Then in the second half my running game...still didn't do too much actually but a couple of really big plays helped out. In the end Michel touched the ball 34(!) times. 28 carries 6 catches 156 or so yards rushing and 60+ recieving, 3 TDs on the gorund. James White finished with eleven catches for 131 yards. Ended up winning 51-20. Third game against the Bengals: Brady went off with a perfect QB rating. I mean I demolished them. Had over 400 yards of total offense in the first half. And they seemed to stack the run but Brady was picking them to pieces so that was like...alright. My reciever core was the main qulprits this time. Edelemen had nine catches on nine targets for 144 yards and a TD. Brandin Cooks just was bursting through all game long with 5 catches, 3 TDs, 142 yards. Phillip Dorset also added 4 catches and a TD of his own. Just perfect execution.

Alas, Cedric. Yas. Witcher 2 is the best Witcher.

Took a break from Stardew; it can get boring repeating the same things for a couple of hours without much char interaction. At the most, the NPCs would say hi or say something mundane, not much progression anywhere.
I fired up Thronebreaker. I still play it on the easy setting so I can bypass the card battles. However, this time I made an effort to play and won several card battles though sometimes it was by stroke of luck I won because I didn't understand how the leader ability affect some cards. I still do get stuck and just skip, defaulting as a win. some of the battles are not really battles but puzzles so there's variation which I can appreciate.

In the Mojave:
Didn't get too much done at the end of the day. Just puttered around and reorinted myself after my Recon break. I did visit Vault 34, but had to turn around since that place is irradiated. I get the feeling I will have to go back there for some reason but I have no desire to be irradiated into a mess of goo right now.
