Witcher 3
Finally made it to Undvik to see how Hjalmar was doing with the giant. First time I played I never investigated the footprints of the folks who left before the camp battle, so I did that this time and ended up rescuing one of Hjalmar's men from becoming soup for the local ice trolls. He was ever so grateful so joined up to help with the search.
Should also mention I talked to the locals at the port before heading off, so got a bit of background on what happened there before the current expedition. Turns out the crazy guy talking to dead men and building a ship for the giant was the former jarl of the island. Everyone thought he was dead! But nope, he's just lost his mind.
After finding Hjalmar, who was by himself since the rest of the group had either died or disappeared, the three of them headed for the giant's lair. Managed to free Vigi this time so he didn't get squished, and then killed the giant.
Before departing, Geralt assured Hjalmar that was indeed planning to also sail to Spikeroog, where Cerys was working on her own great deed. But first, a few stops in between to find more witcher diagrams and ruin the days of many a bandit.

Currently working on Cerys' quest and having a problem. I'm trying to do the "trick the Hym" option but every time I fight the 3 guards the game crashes after I take out the second one. I've seen other people with this same issue but no help as to how to fix it.

Finally been able to get some solid playtime into some games. Managed to finish up Pathfinder Kingmaker and got a solid ending. Kingdom had pretty much all solid outcomes, all party members that could survive did so and my King managed to marry both of the Tiefling sisters. Overall solid game and enjoyed it.
Then I began my journey through Greedfall. Really enjoying that so far as well, Spiders has really improved game after game. Story is keeping me interested, the companions are all pretty cool and have some unique questlines. Also it has some really great side quests, all of em are pretty detailed and link well with the main story and certain characters.

Cultist Simulator. Gregory may have been intentionally sacrificed for an achivo thus giving birth to Harley Quinn... Who didn't make much progress other than forming an edgy cult and wracking up mystique like crazy. Also tried out Yakuza 0. On chapter 3 and loving it so far. Combat is really fun, the area is super pretty (and so are the people), story is very interesting so far and the characters have all been enjoyable in their own way. Only thing I'm not to fond of are the minigames, cuz I'm rubbish at them (tried darts, pool, shogo and the claw machine). But Karaoke is super fun, but pretty insane on the button pressing. Looks like the next chapter is going to be quite different, so looking forwards to experiencing it next session.

Fallout 4 Part 2 of personal settlement building. Been acquiring a lot of power armor to the collection so I had to build a large shed to store some of them. I haven't done too much modding with the armors other than one of the X0's that I used to visit hell to find Virgil and a T-60 that has Atom Cats paint job. Some stupid mutants thought they could assault my character's home base. She didn't lift a finger against them, the turrets made short work of them. Later on some Minute Men walked by, eyeing her power armor collection. The "General" told them to keep walking. Found the robot Ada and then went to the robot factory that was taken over by some Mechanist robots. Acquired some tech for Ada and now I have a robot work bench. After installing the gizmo in Ada, made a robot to patrol the Red Rocket grounds as security. Another T51 added to the collection. Starting to run out of room. Yeah, keep walking. I'm sure Preston has a settlement for you to go save. Entrance to the new storage shed. Part of the interior.

Witcher 3
Made it past the bug I was encountering in Cerys' quest. I turned the difficulty back to easy mode, then lobbed a couple bombs at the trio so they'd all die at once, which finally triggered the cutscene. Now, while I actually like the tricking method better as it is 100% Cerys' idea and she's the one to banish the hym, I'm stuck wondering how could Geralt possibly not hear the druid guy in the next room? Unless he pulled some druid-y trick out of his arse to be completely silent and non-odiferous, I don't see how Geralt wouldn't know he was there, and thus have no guilt for the hym to latch onto.
Finishing that triggered the king(queen )-making quest but I held off on that until I could scour the islands for more witcher diagrams. Some of the quest levels provided for the diagrams are misleading because they are rated based on the level req't for the gear, not on the level of enemies you might have to face while digging. Also cleaned up some outstanding contracts, including the Tower Outta Nowhere, and Missing Son.
I had a laugh during the tower quest because, after running out of magical energy to conjure up guardians, this is what stepped out of the next portal:
Still couldn't bring myself to tell the villagers everyone who'd gone to investigate was dead.
Found a quest I hadn't come across first time I played. It's on Spikeroog, at the Hov marker. It's a haunted arena and Geralt's job is to get rid of the (rather unusual) spectre. Once it's done, you can go back later to get a few more coins from the proceeds of the arena matches.
Left off back at Kaer Trolde, heading in to meet with Crach. I have a feeling the shite's about to hit the fan....

Bit of Cultist Simulator with Harley. Realized she can in fact make her acquaintances believers with her meager knowledge. Ooops. And Dread is finally useful, since it gives 2 point boost in edginess. Which is nice. And now it's just debating which ascension route to take, but guessing she'll ultimately fail it to bag one of the many, many romance achievements. Then found out Demon Hunters has a demo, so of course tried it out but it only left me hungry for more. Damn you January! Why aren't you closer?! But, all the doubts I had about moving it to the RPG Maker engine are gone. Since the bit I got to play was really enjoyable. Just ahhhh, it ended to early. Then Yakuza 0. Chapter three was also fun. Lots of talky talky at the beginning, but that's nice too. Then did a bunch of sidequesting. Like 13 quests or something. And a lot of fighting. And claw machining. Got a couple toys for her and it was so cute! The kids in this game generally are, but she's extra. And more Karaoke, even scored more than 90 points on one song . Prefer the songs where he sings himself, but cheering on the lady is also ok when he gets really into it. Also learned how to fish and managed to catch a cute little axolotl. And now I want a fish tank to display his cuteness in! And I refuse to believe he's dead. Also found cats! So cute! But can't pet them. Also found one shibu inu tucked in his dog house. And another following his owner. (just text in spoilers)But I'm rubbish at walking slowly past people. So I keep bumping into them harshly and they complain it hurts. Same with the dog. The yelp made me feel awful. So now I hope I only see them safe and sound away from me. Ended the session in Chapter 4, after a fun date with a lady. It involved sushi, claw machines, disco and violent break dancing, the pinnacles of a good date. And guessing the next session things are gonna go terribly wrong, either a big mistake will be made or...well another big mistake I guess, but excited to see which of them it is. Or maybe it will be something different. I don't know. What I do know is that I had a lot of fun, so that's that.

Journal clean-up is
Found all the diagrams except ones at Kaer Morhen. Now I've got to finish Hattori's and whatsherface's quests so I have high level crafters available. I should actually be able to wear some of the superior level stuff by now. Can't wait to get me some Wolf gear.
Working my way through the contracts I picked up in Velen/Novigrad that were waaaay too high a level back then. Hunted a royal wyvern, a chort, another fiend, another ekimmara, and some pesky wraiths. Current job is the katakan with a penchant for alcohol.
Cerys was elected queen. With that I finished everything in Skellige except for 2 fist fights but wanted to level up a bit more since it's a level 30 quest. I'm close at 25 right now. I also haven't yet checked the ??'s left since I'm sure there's a gazillion of them.
Still on track for Full Crew this time. Sent Keira to Kaer Morhen after convincing her she'd just be wasting her time (and life) making any kind of deal with Radovid. Will eventually get on with helping Triss and Dandelion. I did buy the masks, at least, and won my final "random" gwent card from Elihal.

So Madden: I finished my first season of this particular franchise. Won the Superbowl against the Seahawks 52-17. It was actually quite a theme of the playoffs tight game that then got really out of hand very quickly for the other guys. In the first game against the Chargers Josh Gordon had 4 TDs on 4 catches. Second game against the Jaguars he added another and then Ryder had 2 in the SB.
It was fun down the stretch too. Brady technically had 2 perfect passer rating games, though against the Jets it shouldn't count since I took him out after I built up a 21-0 lead. That game finishing 38-27 though. Jarret Stidham had 2 TD passes and threw two picks in the game to close it out. Also a lot of running throughoughout was had by all.
Edelman ended up finishing with 92 catches for 1500+ yards. Cooks had 20 yards per catch and also had over 1000 yards. Brady through for over 6000 yards and 80 TDs. Pretty pleased with how everything turned out. Didn't distribute the ball enough to individual people but then I did also have a lot of distibution with TD passes hitting, I believe, 11 different recievers for TDs.

I saw news a few days ago that Stardew Valley was getting a new update on Nov 26th.
I told myself "It's been I while since I played it, why not re-install it to check the update?". That was a mistake...I played the game all weekend!
I started a character, realized I forgot too many things, checked an older save and the wiki but then settled for a new character. I also installed a few mods, mostly cosmetic ones, but some might/will break with the update.
Already in the Summer. But I need to: - make more friends (when your best friend is Haley because she likes daffodils and hangs out near the fountain almost everyday...) - get iron ores - build a coops, barn and the second house upgrade for the kitchen - do things to complete the community center bundles - buy the fruit trees so I have one of each (only got the apple tree so far) - kill things in the mine (I like going into the mine and kill stuff)

Finally got my hands on my lightsaber in Kotor 2. Went one-handed beacause I'm a movie purist, and blue both because that's what it is in the Revan novel and because my Meetra Surik is a classic non-messianic Jedi Guardian in contrast to my Consular Revan. Being a mediocre force user at best, she had to rely on impeccable form and bladework and superior tactics to compete with Padawans and Knights like Revan or Malak, whose intuitive connection to the force way outclassed hers. Which made her seem like a bit of a hard-nosed one-trick-pony to her peers, and worryingly insensitive albeit disciplined to her masters. Until she joined Revan, in part because both of her parents were serving against the Mandalorians in the Republic military. I always start the game with looking for Vrook on Dantooine. The area is something of a nostalgia trip after 1 and it's kind of the logical starting point to begin looking for Jedi. And it feels great for Vrook to be the one to gift you, and implicitly endorse your use of, the final lightsaber component you need after he was the one to demand you surrender your original. And it's nice to relive a bit of your character's military past by organizing Khooda's defense. The ability to swear that you're going to undermine their defenses for the mercenaries, optimize them instead, and then lead the mercenaries straight into a minefield and into the line of turret-fire is very cool, but the way it's done is pretty boring and doesn't outweigh getting to give the defenders a rousing speech when starting the fight on their side. Haven't decided which prestige path I'm going to take. Weapon Master would fit the character best, but her power over the Force has been mysteriously growing and Guardian/Master seems to be the most encouraged combination in the movies and PnP games. At least, all the named Master-level Jedi or Sith seem to have gone that route.

Finally got round to Anno 2205 which I bought during the summer sale for cheap with all the expansions which is the only version one should ever purchase of any Anno game. My first impression was shockingly bad. I HATED it. I played the two previous games. I assumed I didn't need any tutorials. Anno 2070 just flowed. Loved it right off the bat. Nothing about 2205 flows. Turns out the game is all kinds of annoying and badly explained. The worst part is that there is no longer either campaign or freeplay. It's only campaign now that forces you to engage in boring sea combat for no real reason. Very disruptive. You can customize your game to not include enemy attacks but these story combat missions happen anyway on separate maps. Gosh, so annoying...
I know reviews of this game were fairly bad. But then again I don't play Anno as a strategy game. I always play on easy without natural disasters. I just want to build nice looking cities... So simplifying and streamlining stuff didn't have to be a bad thing for me. And sure, the game can be played without risk of bankruptcy. You'll never run out of money if you choose to play the idiot version. Which I did. *g* But all the constant disrupting by the advisors and the combat missions make this game not relaxing. Each zone has phases that require you to go into another zone to progress. Before you had your different islands and could just keep building based on demand for goods. All on the same map.
Here I have to constantly switch to the overview map on another screen to pick a zone. Do something. Tab out to the overview map again to establish a trade route. Zoom back into the zone. Changing zones takes a bit to load. First you have to click it to load. Then I have to click again to confirm my selection. UGH.
It's all so unsmooth...
I almost decided to ditch the game after just 3 hours. Haven't had this little fun in a long time with a game. Got stuck not knowing how to resolve the power shortage in the Arctic.
Turns out I overlooked that power source mines have multiple upgradable slots. So that fixed all my problems for a while and I started to have a bit of fun. But honestly, the art design is kind of bland and I don't even feel like building a nice looking city. So far there are way too few decoration options... and they all look like shit too.
Anno 2070 had two very different looking societies to join. Actually, there was even a third party. While 2205 DOES have very different zones with their own structures, most of them so far just look like camps. Maybe on the highest level they'll start looking like actual cities, not just like trapper tent camps...
I REALLY liked the deep sea stuff of 2070. The fact that you could actually navigate your submarine. Awesome soundtrack too. Not feeling any magic here with 2205.

Right, surely if you've just sent someone to kill four champions who you are too scared to face, and they come back having killed them, threatening them with death is just a tad stupid? NARRATORS VOICE: "He didn't" Killing Stentor is one of the more enjoyable executions Kass gets to perform!!!!!! And yes there are some great comedic moments that Kass delivers very well in the game!!!!!!

So that's why I haven't played XCOM in a while...it crashed in the middle of a mission. Which I completed without any *further* issues. Anyways though ran three missions. First one went off without a hitch which is something I was quite pleased about. Then a retaliation got not one but TWO of my soldiers killed... both of my Rangers. Lets see: Tried moseying into position, which set off a group behind me. This left one of the guys exposed and then the second guy missed an 84% shot, at point blank range. It is quite frustrating about this game when shots miss that shouldn't miss. The third mission got grenaded but also had a lot of really cool moments to make it through. Also killed the codex and did the skulljack. I think I am really close to getting things really breaking my way, my last mission gave me a lot of supplies so I need to start upgrading equipment asap.

I haven't a crash in the few PTs I had of XCom 2. Never trust the "calculated chances" of any shots because the roll is always RNG. You may see a 99% chance of hitting and yet still miss. It's frustrating. Shooting behind cover also seems to make the rngs even more negative for the player. At least, that's the usual comment I see. Have you encountered the chryssalids btw?

Have you encountered the chryssalids btw? AKA "Zombie apocalypse heralds". You never know how much trouble they are until you let them some free space. In the vanilla "XCOM Enemy Unknown" that abandoned shipyard mission was a regular "Aliens" siege scene with the respawning chryssalids hordes. In XCOM 2 they are a bit less dangerous than EU and EW, but can completely surprise you still if you get careless.

Fallout 4. Took out the coursor to get his chip. Then I took the chip to the Railroad and have them analyze it. Greedy bastards wouldn't help unless they got to keep the chip itself. I'll remember that. Went back to Virgil and he gave me some schematics on how to build a transporter. I was going to have the BoS build it but made the mistake of talking to Preston. I had done dome radiant quests of his and wanted to cash in on them but the dialog that came up first was have Sturgis take a look at the plans. Got it built and finally made it into the Institute. Gabrielle met her son and had a lengthy discussion. She'll need time to process this. Part 3 of personal settlement building. The storage shed I made had to be expanded. My character just loves collecting power armor. May have to build a second story. Think I will play a game of Fallout. Storage shed expansion. Meeting Shaun.

I won the Olympics:
That whole quest sequence is absolutely marvellous: I really love the sea travel in this, it's really well done: Honestly, who can't love Kassandra as a character: She just exudes power and authority.

Honestly, her expression when receiving the wreath/crown is one of the most perfect things in recent gaming memory Just an excited little kid who won a prize.

I have no idea why people talk trash about ACOD's facial animations. Those are pretty spot on just about all the time I look at them. Take for example the second clip with the shark. You can just tell how Kass thinks "oh, shit, always to me, eh?" and then is taken out of the contemplation by Alkibiades.
Are we all sporting the Wonder woman look?

Honestly, who can't love Kassandra as a character: She just exudes power and authority. Kassandra is my favourite female protag of any game!!!!!! She's funny, intelligent and can be badass as well. Her VA does a great job and from what I have seen, Melissanthi Mahut, is really just playing herself and it shows in how natural her delivery is. Check this out if you haven't seen it, it gives a good insight into both VA's personalities. You didn't take Brassida's advice? That's a shame, he's right in all his suggestions in terms of getting better outcomes.
